If I could give zero stars, I would. They have the worst customer service and were so unprofessional. Technician and office/scheduling do not communicate. Technician came out for a service call, then stated that office would call to reschedule for additional service. Office never called and two days later a technician randomly shows up unscheduled without being notified. Nobody was home. Their office called a week later to send invoice but had all the incorrect information. Then sent over invoice and charged for second visit that never happened (because they did not call us to schedule the security nd appointment). Now let's talk about the office employee. Candace was extremely rude and unprofessional overall then proceeded to hang up on me during conversation. Then when we called back and asked for a supervisor was placed on hold and hung up again. Calling a third time and asking Candace why she hung up she laughed and proceeded to say "you're mistaken. The phone call was complete."Needless to say, they also overcharged for work that was not actually done. when you try to use a small family on business compared to the big name companies, this is how you're treated. There is no accountability. I highly recommend you Do Not use Steve's ultimate air unless you want Candace to hang up on you and charge for services that did not happen. read more

Steve's Ultimate Air was referred to us and they installed my mom's air conditioner. I contacted them this week for work on another air conditioner at a different property. They scheduled it for the next afternoon, texted me to ask if we could move it up to the morning which was great. Then they called me the next morning and said a technician called in sick and said they could not get out to the house until the following morning. My AC was making noise and I had them come out and check it. They said the protective box just was secure and had come loose. They charged me $80 just for the coming out service fee. They didn't try to sell me anything or make up a problem. I would hire them again. read more

We had been using Aire Serv SE east valley for the past 10 years and was told by them we needed $900 worth of work to our heating so we called Steves and they came by and spent about 45 minutes checking it and said everything was fine except whoever serviced it last time forgot to connect so the heat was getting disbursed in the attic. Needless to say the bill was just a routine service charge less than $100. Steve himself showed up with a co-worker and they were SUPER nice. Garrett checked my unit and while we thought it might be a capacitor concern he tested everything and said the unit was healthy with no concerns at this time. However, he took the time to explain to me what may have caused my problem and to monitor the situation, but at this time, no concerns. I had Steve and his team install a new Bryant 5 ton Preferred 2 stage AC system last week. Complete demo and install was completed in about 8 hours. Steve and his crew had everything planned out perfectly. Old system was completely removed in 2 hours. 10 minutes later, new equipment arrived. 10 minutes later 2 more technicians arrived. A couple hours later, someone shows up to haul away all trash and old equipment. By the afternoon, my house was cooling down nicely and you couldn't even tell they had been here! I recently had the pleasure of meeting Steve, the owner of a small business, to audit my system as the warm weather approaches. Mind you my system works flawlessly but I wanted it checked as it is over 10 yrs old. He crawled around my attic, checked 3 a coils and inspected the fittings and pans. He also tested the charge on all the compressors. He spent over an hr with me and basically said, "your system is fine." He added a pound of coolant for good measure and wasn't going to charge me. I insisted and asked for 100 bucks. His honesty and experience in an industry prone to upcharging makes his business top in the Phoenix AC circle. You want a fair shake? Good place. My AC went out. It wasn't blowing any air but I could hear that it was still running. Called this place and they had someone out within 2 hours. The guy who came out was friendly. He went up to my unit, inspected and messed with it for about 20-30 mins and he advised us that the blower was out. It was $800 to replace (We weren't surprised as these fixes are not cheap). My AC condenser unit needed a coil and compressor replaced. I must've gotten over a dozen quotes. Half of them wouldn't even give me a quote, trying to force me into buying a new unit (old one is still under warranty) The other half were charging more $ for labor to repair the unit then to replace it. These are all 5* rated companies too!!! Finally contacted Steve's Ultimate Air. Reasonable pricing, didn't pressure me to buy a new unit and were very accomodating in getting the hard to find parts ordered through distributor/manufacturer. $210.00 for an inspection that determined my "unit is running good" but short on a couple pounds of refrigerant that I happily had recharged 11 days ago. I am now writing this less than two weeks later, and my home floor under the air handler is covered in water. Calls to Steve's Ultimate Air resulted in the scheduling assistant expressing extreme and audible exasperation at the mere thought of us trying to get same day help to have someone look at what could have gone wrong since our very recent service call. Edit/followup: a different, professional AC contractor showed at my residence for same day service and determined Steve's Ultimate Air actually overcharged my system with refrigerant and did not notice or care to notify us of the abundance of pet hair that had accumulated on the coils. This issue explained both the system's inability to cool, and the water collection issue. Coils were cleaned for a nominal fee, and the extra coolant added by Steve's company was removed, restoring my HVAC to optimal operating condition. Do not trust this company; look elsewhere. read more
