I had been cordial the entire time and fully intended to pay. Threatening collections and a lawsuit on a three day old invoice, to a customer who never disputed the charge, is a serious overreaction and not how a professional handles a routine payment. Sharing so future customers know what to expect on the billing side.

Once the contract was signed, they indicated 2-3 weeks to begin, and that was accurate. Supply delivery began about five days prior to commencing work. The initial crew wasted no time getting to work. They kept the premises clean. Everyone professional. Quality: All I can say, is so far so good! Nice paver work, Pergola looks great. Electrical all appears properly done. Turf looks great. We are very happy with the results. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Delays: none of any consequence. Overall my experience with Jason and Scott is awesome!! Please use them for your AC needs, they will take exceptional care of you. I had Northern Air install a new AC unit for me a month ago. Everything is still working fantastically. Scott came out to look at my existing system and take notes, Jason sent me the quote. Both of them were extremely professional and nice and answered my 1000 questions without hesitation. They both knew their stuff. I had 3 companies offer me quotes and ultimately decided on Northern Air because their customer service was beyond the other 2 and quality of the equipment to price. They also offered a 0% financing option if I needed. So I scheduled the install. On the day of the install, two of them came out, Scott and his apprentice, again both very professional and knowledgeable. I was prepared for a whole day of workers in my house and no AC in the meantime, thankfully it was early May, not mid-July. They started around 8am and finished up around 3pm. They tested the system, there was one little tweak that needed done, they didn't leave until everything was working satisfactory. They cleaned up their work area entirely, wiped down all surface areas, cleaned the floor where they worked and kept their equipment. It's like they weren't even there. Before he left Jason answered any additional questions I had and showed me how to use the new Wifi T-Stat. Which, by the way, I highly recommend and has a rebate from APS. I will of course have them back for any maintenance needed and would recommend them for new equipment. I cannot comment on their repair skills because I did not utilize that, but I'm sure they know their stuff in that area as well. read more

A fan in our AC stopped working. Fortunately it was in warranty, but broke at a busy time. Northern came out the next afternoon, confirmed the issue, and quoted us an hour in labor to replace. We would need to wait another day to get the part, but they would pick it up on the way between jobs and replaced by 4pm the next day. We paid the service fee and the hour labor which initially came to $179. The repair took less than an hour just as the tech predicted and worked immediately. The technician (Paul) was great- very friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside is that we were charged an additional 3 hours labor ($330) for picking up the part and a warranty research fee ($79) the next day bringing our total to $580 for an hours work on an in warranty fix. This is even without a second service fee that was initially charged. I can't even imagine what the cost would be for a more involved or out of warranty repair. My family was very impressed with the service, but disappointed in the extensive additional charges. I had not encountered this the last time I used Northern. We realize that pricing is beyond the technicians control and would still recommend Paul wholeheartedly as a great technician. We had also worked with Jason in the past and had also received great service. read more

For four years after I moved into my house we had issues with it being way too hot in the summer. Every year I had the air conditioning serviced by an air conditioning company and no one ever told me that the previous owner of the house had removed the old motor from the air conditioning and put a smaller motor into it and didn't bother to seal around The new small motor properly. This was not only causing the house to be too hot, but every time it rained water would come in through the air-conditioning unit and overflow in the pan, which leaked through my ceiling. Northern air was the first company to look at my air conditioning and realize that it was responsible for the leak problem I was having with the ceiling. (I had had several roofers, contractors, and A/C guys out to look at the leak prior to this and no one else could identify the problem). As a result, I had northern air install an entirely new air conditioning unit and they stayed with the job to make sure that, not only was the A/C Installed correctly, but the roof was repaired correctly around the new system. They did a fantastic job. I trust them more than any other air-conditioning company I've ever worked with and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I had a problem with my furnace and contacted this company thru email. Reply was timely and courteous and I give one star for that. The tech they sent, Paul, was personable, hard working and diagnosed the problem...a sticking gas valve. I give another star for that. However, when Paul called in for a price to repair, the figure I was quoted (I'm guessing from owner Jason Nedrow) was $675. Oh, and by the way, they'll replace a faulty light switch for $50. Well, I hired another local company to replace the gas valve for $415 and bought a light switch from Amazon for $3.64 and had it replaced myself in minutes. Price for a service call? $150. Their website advertises "Summer/WINTER Specials (Tune-Up)"- One complete system - $79.00. I paid the $150 and learned an expensive lesson...get the price in advance in writing. I honestly don't know if they are always this overpriced or if they were trying to take advantage of a senior (I live in a Sun City). If you decide to hire this company for your needs, I'm sure you will get courteous and competant service. However, there are other good companies in the area who are just as competant at a fraction of the price. read more

At about 6:00 pm on Sunday, I noticed my air conditioning had quit cooling. I checked the outside unit and discovered it wasn't working. The temperature outside was 115+, so I looked on Yelp to find someone who serviced San Tan Valley, and found Northern Heating and Air. I called at 6:15 in the evening, and Jason said he would be here by 7:30. He arrived right on time, and was able to do the repair quickly, since it was just a capacitor. He was very nice and courteous, and even changed my return filter for me since I can't reach it very well. His rate was very reasonable. I like doing business with local businesses, and I highly recommend Northern Heating and Air to anyone in this area who has HVAC problems. I will definitely call them again. My AC went out last week in the middle of the night. I have 3 small children and a puppy, so believe me when I say I was panicked and stressed out when I spoke with Tiffany early in the morning. She was super professional and sent Mike (my service guy) out that same morning! He too was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough while explaining everything to me. He fixed the problem in less than an hour and even called a few hours later to make sure everything was running smoothly. I cant say enough positive things about Northern Air. Northern Air Mechanical Services is a great company! My unit all of sudden stopped working properly when I noticed that the air was turning warm, and the temperature started to go up quickly. This is Arizona and this time of year it is over 100, people don't last long in that kind of heat, so air conditioning is vital! The people were all professional from the front office to the technician they fixed my unit in a timely manner, the technician was very friendly and professional he took his time to check the entire unit and explained to me everything he did. Jason was the most informative of them all. Reasonable. He knew under the Covid 19 how concerned I was of my 2 micro premmie twins that were in the house. Office never called and two days later a technician randomly shows up unscheduled without being notified. Nobody was home. Their office called a week later to send invoice but had all the incorrect information. Then sent over invoice and charged for second visit that never happened (because they did not call us to schedule the security nd appointment). Now let's talk about the office employee. Candace was extremely rude and unprofessional overall then proceeded to hang up on me during conversation. Then when we called back and asked for a supervisor was placed on hold and hung up again. Calling a third time and asking Candace why she hung up she laughed and proceeded to say "you're mistaken. The phone call was complete."Needless to say, they also overcharged for work that was not actually done. when you try to use a small family on business compared to the big name companies, this is how you're treated. There is no accountability. I highly recommend you Do Not use Steve's ultimate air unless you want Candace to hang up on you and charge for services that did not happen.

From the first Yelp project to the end, I really was impressed with it working and going off without a hitch~! Robert gave his quote, I compared it with competitors, and had additional questions that let me to choosing him for the project. He worked with trusted electricians and installers to get the project done and with no delay at all, mostly waiting for me to approve the original estimate. After the job was complete, he came and got me situated in regards to any questions and maintenance I should expect to take on. He even went the extra mile to check out my central A/C for any Freon leaks and through some free brass valve replacements to replace the cheap plastic ones. After installation, I had final questions over text in regards to warranty, SRP rebates, and a few last minute items which he took the time to help me resolve. Would recommend!

They were very responsive to my call and sent Blake out to take care of my problem. We recently had another HVAC company come out because our AC stopped working. To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. Instead of facing what could have been a very expensive and unnecessary replacement, we paid for a diagnostic visit, got our AC back, and gained confidence in our system. Because of this experience, we've switched from our previous HVAC company to Airtime Cooling & Heating for all of our future maintenance and service. If Jacob is any indication of the quality of their technicians, they have earned a customer for life. Jacob was truly a 10 out of 10. He kept me informed of his thoughts about our air conditioning problem and solved it methodically. Comparing this experience to Orangutan Home Services, who looked at the same problem on Saturday, is like comparing day to night. The difference was that clear from the first phone call to the follow-up Wheeler staff are really, really good. And Orangutan was only interested in selling an air seal service for $2400. The technician didn't even go into the attic to inspect the ductwork. Whereas that was the first thing Brandon did. Upon doing so, he repositioned the line to the problem room and adjusted all the vents on the line. He used a little handheld device that measured the temperature in various parts of the rooms and made a logical determination and solved the problem. I will use Wheeler for all future air conditioning and plumbing problems we have in the future.

I declined the service as it was over $1k and I am handy and purchased a spare on supply house just in case. But they have a great deal if you want spring and fall checkups for a reasonable price. For $19 a month they come twice a year for the heating in fall and cooling in spring, which also includes a weather heater flush. These are definitely worth the cost so I set it up. This price also includes priority repair and a 10% discount on parts and labor I believe if you're needing work done. If you are on aren't mechanically inclined, these guys have you covered.

I had them come back to clean it and they sealed the area that the installer forgot to do. Prior to that, there were little flakes of black ash left all over my walls from when he cut through metal. I ended up cleaning it myself. About 2 weeks ago, I saw something in my vent. It was a wad of the tape they used to tape the hole they made in the metal wall. July 2026 they had to come out because it was blowing warm air. Told me it was a surge. Sold me a surge protector for $477. The next day same thing happened. Started blowing warm air at around 2pm. Adjusted the sub cooling and cleaned the coils. Prior to this, they came out in March for my spring maintenance. Didn't they bother to clean the coils then? Also, during the spring checkup the technician didn't put his ladder at the correct angle. It slipped and made a hole in my wall which they did fix but my picture frame was broken and they didn't replace it. July 25 or 26 I called the office because I was supposed to receive the info to register the surge protector online. She said someone would call me Monday. It's now two weeks later and still no effing call. I've had it with them. I'm calling one more time to provide the info. Next, I'm going to have a different company come out to inspect the installation because I no longer trust their work.
