    Huge Baturas
    Ajali S.

Went at the opening hour on a Saturday morning and the place was already jam packed with a queue forming outside. The place is small and gets very busy so consider a take away. Placing the order was quick and efficient. Took us about 15 to 20 minutes to get our food Hands down the best chole bature I have eaten in this country. The papdi chat was absolute heaven , all washed down with the delectable mango lassi. We went back the next Saturday and got their specials , matter paneer, naan and mutton curry. Everything exceeds expectations. I just love the home cooked flavors uncorrupted as yet by an intent to make profit. I haven't tried their catering yet but that is absolutely on the cards based on the very positive experience.

We absolutely love and adore this place for the wide variety of North Indian specialties especially Punjabi dishes and home cooked flavors. We have been visiting AJA for catering orders and dine in for years now! Pls do not judge the place by its location and decor/ambiance. The quality, price and portion of the food will over compensate. The owner runs this place with his family. They are closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Weekends get ready to be slammed. It's busy and chaotic! Our favorites here are Parathas Choley Bhaturey and Mutton Curry! Weekends sometimes you can find specials like Bread Pakodey, Jalebi, Special Mithais, Curry's, Biryani etc., The food is prepared fresh, served hot with lots of love and admiration for loyal and new customers! You know the spot is a gem when every other customer is a Desi! Paji, thank you for serving authentic Punjabi food to Arizonians! Finally you made it to Yelp.

Amazing home style North Indian food and parathas available for dine in and take out. They do catering aswell. Quantity is generous and food is top notch. Definitely returning. Priced reasonably too.

Awesome Indian food, good for catering but will love the authentic Indian cuisine. Their menu keeps changing I think twice every week, so watch out for the specials. Home style food at its best. Although locality might seem little odd but don't let that stop you from trying this restaurant out! Cozy homely environment.

Just be careful -- the heat builds up slowly, so if you're not used to spicy food, go lower on the scale! The portions were generous, everything was very flavorful, and we all ended up taking leftovers home. What stood out the most was the service. Our server was funny, knowledgeable, and gave fantastic recommendations. There's also plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. The only thing missing for me was that the décor doesn't quite match the authenticity and quality of the food, which deserves a bit more character in the atmosphere.

I couldn't tell if it was much contemporary or not, but it was good. The restaurant filled out pretty quickly, with a lot of local regulars that conversed in the buffet line and remarked about how there wasn't as much in the trace as they would expect.I guess cause we had already had it through. The buffet was a bit limited. I hoped Butter Chicken would be there, but no. The choices were of a good variety, not as flavorful as I would like and not as spicy, which is what I would expect. Once we hit the buffet line service picked up for us to get us drinks and service, which was well managed. Our group plans to be back at some point in time.I'll look to order from the regular menu.

The Dhaba does not disappoint either, and deserve every five star review they get. Mental note to self, go down a level in heat to a 2 when ordering because they do it spicy! Their garlic naan was awesome, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was wonderful. The portion size was just right. The true winner however was the Tandoori chicken. We did a half order of it, and decided next time we would do a full order and an order of the Butter chicken to split. The waiters and owners were very attentive, and it was a pleasant atmosphere on the inside. Parking is a bit tight out front but there is plenty of parking out back.

Our server was probably one of the worst servers I have ever had. Zero personality and literally never said one word to us. Several to go orders and Uber Eats people came in and out while we waited about 10 minutes. We finally told the man at the front desk that we needed to order and get some drinks. Server came over with his notepad and looked at us to take orders, didn't say a word. When he brought the dishes, a few minutes later, he literally plopped all of them in one spot in the table without making any attempt to remember which dish went to which person. Very odd behavior The dishes on the menu are clearly marked vegetarian, vegan or contains meat. We had two dishes that were supposed to be vegan, one was a saag dish which they had placed butter over the top of. It looked delicious to everyone, but the vegans who could not eat it. When we pointed it out, they made no attempt to offer us another dish and just said oh yes, that's ghee (clarified butter) we said the menu indicated it was vegan, but again no response. The two vegans at our table just decided rather than argue, they will share the rice dish, which was also indicated as vegan. As they started to eat it, they realized there were several pieces of paneer in it. I really hope this was a one off because this was one of my favorite places to eat Indian food. Very very disappointing and no accommodation for the inedible dishes.

The restaurant is a large space which is tiled and glass, so could get noisy if the room was full of people but somehow I don't think that will be too much of an issue. I ordered Ajwani Fish Tikka and Mutton Rogan Josh through Uber Eats (see attached receipt). Instead of the fish tikka I ordered, I received a whole fish (also attached). I understand some people enjoy whole fish, but I absolutely do not. The sight of an entire fish completely killed my appetite, and it was nothing like what I expected when ordering fish tikka. I called the restaurant expecting a simple apology and a solution. Instead, I was told they had actually sent me a fish that was worth about $20 more and that I should be happy because I received something more expensive. I repeatedly explained that this was never about the money. I didn't care if the replacement cost more. I ordered Ajwani Fish Tikka because that's what I wanted to eat. Receiving a more expensive dish doesn't make it the correct order. Rather than apologizing or trying to make things right, I was simply told to "talk to Uber Eats." When I pointed out that the restaurant was the one that prepared and sent the wrong item, the conversation became increasingly hostile. The most disappointing part was the owner's behavior. When I said I would leave an honest review based on my experience, he became extremely aggressive, yelling, "Who the hell do you think you are? Are you trying to threaten me?" I never threatened anyone. I simply said I would leave a review reflecting what had happened. Mistakes happen. Restaurants send out the wrong food sometimes, and I can understand that. What I cannot understand is treating a paying customer with disrespect instead of professionalism. The food mistake was disappointing. The customer service was unacceptable. I won't be ordering from Avasa again, and I hope this review encourages the management to treat future customers with more respect.
