The food toook a bit long to make. We did have one item remade because it was not like how she had it before and that took a really long time. I would have liked more chicken in my tikka masala .. There was also some singers or something that were here and just crowded our section by the door. The food is not all that special to me.

Must come too!! Have come here 3 times over the past few months for various varieties they offer. Tried their Benne Dosa the first time and it felt like i was not missing home! From the ambience, to the service (Very attentive and friendly) to the food. The quality is so so fresh, all the three times I've eaten here. Came with family first, a big group and then came as a couple for their Bhojanam and their Thali. All three times was excellent. Even though we came late the first time, they entertained us with the same amount of attention. The other two times, the Bhojanam experience was wonderful.. the Thali was outstanding! I will def be going here, whenever am craving good quality Indian cuisine, which isnt stuffy and bloating'! The products used here, are excellent and extremely homely.

Wonderful experience. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the dosa and mutton. The spread on the warm crispy dosa was so addictive. The mutton curry was such a treat because the meat was extremely tender, slightly fatty, and extremely flavorful. All the curries / gravy here have adjustable spice levels, but the meat itself is usually spicy. The bone is kept in and the marrow is soft. The texture is soft yet slightly stringy and chewy in a really satisfying way. Service can be a little inconsistent so you will have to be assertive, but everyone was very helpful and polite. It was also very busy (lunch). Food came out quickly. I am still thinking about the food! Would love to come back.

Had a great meal here! The restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and we were waited on right after sitting down. All the food was delicious and came out quickly and the prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and want some Indian food.

Check out New India Gate! Just outside Ahwatukee on Ray Rd. Was delish' We had the Lamb Saag, Chicken Achari, Chicken Tika, Tandoori Chicken. Samosa was on point, and their selection of Naan was yummy! Family owned and operated by a couple brothers. Check it out!

Heard about their Thalis and visited on a weekend. Ordered chicken thali and mutton thali. The only difference between them is one dish. As soon as we ordered spiced buttermilk was served as a welcome drink. The actual meal came in after 15-20 minutes but I can understand because it was peak timing. Coming to taste, it is the best thali I have tasted in this area yet. I couldn't find fault with anything even if I wanted to. It was unlimited thali. It is normal to have unlimited rice but they served even chicken fry unlimited. Special shoutout to the service. Everyone - the lady who took the order to the ones who served food were very welcoming. They regularly checked in to make sure we got what we needed. I will be a regular customer. Keep it up!

My hubs and I decided to order takeout from here. I've seen the restaurant when passing by and know that the spot has really great reviews, both on Yelp and on Grubhub. So we decided to give it a shot when I was craving Indian and we were too tired to actually go out. For our mains we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (mild), Lamb Vindaloo (medium), and Chicken Jalfrazy (aka Jalfrezi, also medium). Each of the main dishes came with its own small takeout box of basmati rice- something I always appreciate (not having to order rice on top of $15+ individual dishes). I also ordered the garlic naan. Since the bill was already getting up there in price, I decided to forego our favorite app (samosas). The order arrived in plastic containers that are reusable if cleaned ("free" Tupperware, woo hoo!), Nothing was spilled and it was packed ok. The garlic naan was probably my favorite, it was delicious and perfectly cooked naan bread. The meat for all three main dishes was tender and well prepared, too. The sauces/flavor of each of the main dishes was not what I expected. I don't know how to describe it other than that each of the dishes tasted somewhat vaguely of a canned soup? i.e., one sort of tasted of tomato soup, and another of vegetable soup. We were also kind of disappointed that the vegetables in the jalfrezi looked as though they came from a frozen veggie mix. I guess when it comes to Indian cuisine I have sort of have come to expect sauces that taste unlike anything I can compare to a canned western food, and veggies that are bigger/fresher. But knowing that any Indian Food I've ever tried is already Americanized, I don't know how unfair that expectation is. Maybe what I ate was more authentic in some way that I can't know (having never had the privilege of visiting/dining in India). But my subtotal for all four items was $53.96 and for $54 I kind of was bummed. Our leftovers did not get eaten. I think we'll just need to give it a shot in-person next time and perhaps my feelings will be different. Regardless, thanks for dinner New India Gate!

Ordered takeout from here! I had to show my bf it. So delish! All are very friendly. We ordered beef and chicken curry, samosas and garlic naan. Loved it just as much as I did the first time. We will return!

Amazing flavors that leave your tongue with desire. The meat is all tender and surrounded by an intense gravy the warms the soul. Never pass this place!!! Service is amazing with the two brothers that own the restaurant and their father's infamous recipes. The ambience is welcoming as you feel like a part of the family when you walk through the doors.

Looking for an Indian buffet!? Come here! Arrived here on a weekend. My husband and I had the buffet. Plenty of items to choose from-anything from goat curry (my favorite), tiki masala, to delicious garlic naan. My favorite was the goat curry (beware of the bones) and the garlic naan. Delicious! It's in a plaza area so no worries about parking. Staff was great! Keep our waters filled. I'd come back again.

    This was $16.

Our server was funny, knowledgeable, and gave fantastic recommendations. There's also plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. The only thing missing for me was that the décor doesn't quite match the authenticity and quality of the food, which deserves a bit more character in the atmosphere.

THE BEST chaat I've had in the states…read more I have not had a single dish here that I have not been absolutely blown away by. We started coming here after our previous Indian spot closed down (RIP buzzing cuisine) and I cannot overstate how good this food was. The service was incredibly fast and the staff are very kind, and it's actually a pretty large place seating-wise. As others have said, I also asked for recommendations and the advice I got was super solid (mostly trying to gauge their spice level). It's $7 for a samosa chaat. In this economy. I have gone there on my lunch break to just grab a cheap bite 3+ times at this point and we have had 3 dinners from here as well. Aside from the pricing, the food itself takes risks that pay off extremely well. I often find myself going to Indian spots in AZ and feeling like the flavors have been muted or toned down to be more palatable and enjoyable for all audiences. Chaat Express does not cater to the unseasoned tongue and everything you get here is bursting with amazing, authentic combinations of herbs and spices. The flavors are just indescribably good. When BOTH of a samosa's chutney sauces are delicious (and especially when the red sauce is not overly-sweet), you know you are in for a treat. Their curries are made with the same ideology: bold, flavor-forward, and delicious. In addition, their meats are always bafflingly tender. Whether you get their goat or chicken, it will be cooked perfectly. If you're not a meat-eater, their paneer is also great and the texture is exactly what you would want to expect. I've also had their lassi, rice, and naan. I really like the way they do their naan. It's buttery but not overly-buttered, and always very fresh. Their mango lassi is also perfectly sweet with just enough of a hint of that tanginess that it stands out on its own. And again, for $4 you cannot beat that value. TLDR: this place NEEDS to do well or I will lose my mind. please come here. i am begging you to not let this place flop

I ordered Ajwani Fish Tikka and Mutton Rogan Josh through Uber Eats (see attached receipt). Instead of the fish tikka I ordered, I received a whole fish (also attached). I understand some people enjoy whole fish, but I absolutely do not. The sight of an entire fish completely killed my appetite, and it was nothing like what I expected when ordering fish tikka. I called the restaurant expecting a simple apology and a solution. Instead, I was told they had actually sent me a fish that was worth about $20 more and that I should be happy because I received something more expensive. I repeatedly explained that this was never about the money. I didn't care if the replacement cost more. I ordered Ajwani Fish Tikka because that's what I wanted to eat. Receiving a more expensive dish doesn't make it the correct order. Rather than apologizing or trying to make things right, I was simply told to "talk to Uber Eats." When I pointed out that the restaurant was the one that prepared and sent the wrong item, the conversation became increasingly hostile. The most disappointing part was the owner's behavior. When I said I would leave an honest review based on my experience, he became extremely aggressive, yelling, "Who the hell do you think you are? Are you trying to threaten me?" I never threatened anyone. I simply said I would leave a review reflecting what had happened. Mistakes happen. Restaurants send out the wrong food sometimes, and I can understand that. What I cannot understand is treating a paying customer with disrespect instead of professionalism. The food mistake was disappointing. The customer service was unacceptable. I won't be ordering from Avasa again, and I hope this review encourages the management to treat future customers with more respect.

Atmosphere - The first time I visited, there were no strange or strong odors or smells. The last time I visited, it smelled like the sewer backed up and maybe it did since it was raining that day. I did not visit the restroom. It was not very busy inside, but the order took awhile to come out. Some guys were playing pool. Service - There were about two employees. Order and pay at the counter. Self seating. Parking - Surface parking lot. No parking meter or parking structures. Wish there was covered parking or solar panels. Unique - The flavor of the pizza. Did not see a health rating on Yelp.

Being a Monday it's tough to order out as most vegan restaurants that I frequent are closed so I decided to try something new and vegan friendly. After being on Uber for what seems forever checking the Yelp reviews I decided to try Chicago's Pizza with a Twist. The Dhaba does not disappoint either, and deserve every five star review they get. Mental note to self, go down a level in heat to a 2 when ordering because they do it spicy! Their garlic naan was awesome, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was wonderful. The portion size was just right. The true winner however was the Tandoori chicken. We did a half order of it, and decided next time we would do a full order and an order of the Butter chicken to split. The waiters and owners were very attentive, and it was a pleasant atmosphere on the inside. Parking is a bit tight out front but there is plenty of parking out back.

Our server was probably one of the worst servers I have ever had. Zero personality and literally never said one word to us. Several to go orders and Uber Eats people came in and out while we waited about 10 minutes. We finally told the man at the front desk that we needed to order and get some drinks. Server came over with his notepad and looked at us to take orders, didn't say a word. When he brought the dishes, a few minutes later, he literally plopped all of them in one spot in the table without making any attempt to remember which dish went to which person. Very odd behavior The dishes on the menu are clearly marked vegetarian, vegan or contains meat. We had two dishes that were supposed to be vegan, one was a saag dish which they had placed butter over the top of. It looked delicious to everyone, but the vegans who could not eat it. When we pointed it out, they made no attempt to offer us another dish and just said oh yes, that's ghee (clarified butter) we said the menu indicated it was vegan, but again no response. The two vegans at our table just decided rather than argue, they will share the rice dish, which was also indicated as vegan. As they started to eat it, they realized there were several pieces of paneer in it. I really hope this was a one off because this was one of my favorite places to eat Indian food. Very very disappointing and no accommodation for the inedible dishes.
