Their names were intricate. The pork gyozas were good, but I could lived without them. Could have gotten another onigri or more noodles and been happy. Overall if you have a craving for ramen, this ramen shop will satisfy you, but you will have to pay a little extra.

Maybe it's me or maybe my sushi has become to "americanized", but I like places that have specialty rolls. I like the ones that have spicy mayo sauce, or smelt roe, or avocado slices on top, or tuna/salmon on top, or spicy pepper, or etc etc etc. In my opinion, Rokko was simply basic sushi. Don't get me wrong. It was good, just basic. Bottom line - Open on Monday (at least during the summer months). Good but basic sushi. I wanted more variety in the rolls. He will buzz you in. The BEST is the pork based soup kimchi ramen (donkut?). The soup is just like the one I had in Japan and the "best" places in NYC and Toronto. Maurizio the owner is super nice and his gorgeous wife is also there on weekends and is just a sweetheart. Most of all, delicious app, the best ramen and good desserts. I got a bowl of miso butter, and my friends tried the tan-tan men and curry ramen. I'd probably say that the broths across the board were relatively saltier than I'd like. The noodles the first time around were a tad overcooked, but the kae-dama was cooked al dente. It's funny, because I'd almost forgotten how non Sun Noodle ramen noodles tasted! I chatted with the chefs about my ramen adventures in the US, as well as my own attempts at cooking some tonkotsu, and it was overall a great experience.
