I never stated anything about whether your facility was is compliance with state licensing regulations, which are the bare minimum requirments for all licensed child care facilities and nothing to be bragging about. You say things like that your policies are "clearly communicated," with no such explanation of what you mean, when I provided factual details and pages of "critical context." You have now accussed me of "repeated concerns regarding hostile communication and ongoing disruptive interactions with staff." For the prospective families reading this, I implore you, Ms. Peggy, to define what your definitions of "hostile communication" and "ongoing disruptive interactions" and "combative" are. I also give you permission to state what dates and claims about me you are even referring to, but make sure to to include "critical context" without being "inaccurate" or "misleading" when doing so. Parents need to be aware that you were never around during the incidents I described, so you have no basis for knowing whether anything I described was inaccurate. I asked a lot of questions that your staff didn't like and 1st I was called "rude" for it and now that I documented my experiences, you are trying to label me "hostile." Shame on you. This is basic mean girl bullying and the wrong way to respond to a review because it is not 5 stars.

My husband and I are so glad we chose Stoney Point Montessori. Infant classroom teachers, Ms. Swarna and Ms. Lupita, are truly wonderful. Ms. Swarna is incredibly loving and has been so helpful when it comes to feeding tips and guidance as my son grows. Ms. Lupita feels like family to us. My son clearly has so much love for both of them, and it means the world to see how cared for he is every day. The staff at the school are always polite and welcoming, which creates such a warm environment for both parents and children. I also love when my son comes home with the creative arts and crafts they do in class--those little projects are so special when there's two working parent's. Most importantly, my son is thriving here, and that gives me so much peace of mind. Thank you so much to Ms. Swarna and Ms. Lupita for the love and care you show my son every day and for making this journey as a new mom so much easier.

My son who is 4 years old started here at the beginning of the school's summer session in late June 2020. I had wanted him to transition to this school from his previous preschool because Devonshire Preschool had such a strong academic program. When I had visited the year before and saw the work the 4 and 5 year olds were producing it was amazing. They were writing 5 letter words, such as "piece" perfectly and doing math and science. My son wanted to learn more and at his previous school there was just a little too much free play, where it felt like the kids were just being babysat and not stimulated with learning and fun activities. When he started I immediately saw a difference. Even during the summer session there was a fun subject theme each week. During Paleontology week they excavated dinosaurs and dinosaur bones out of sand and ice cubes and learned about fossils. During Pioneer week they churned fresh butter and sifted through dirt to find gold nuggets. During Impressionist Art Week they learned about Piet Mondrian, Robert Kree and Jackson Pollack and made amazing paintings that look just like the artists' paintings. When he came home and showed me the paintings he was so excited and he even taught me about the artists. I only knew about Jackson Pollack. During Health week they learned about the different organs in the body with a fun "Pin the organ" on the kids activity. Hel was loving his teachers, the kids and all the new activities. The academic school year started in late August and by the end of September he could write the alphabet by memory. He soon started to learn to write words and by early December he was reading words. He is now reading full stories, writing four letter words, can count to 100 and write all the numbers up to 100 and is doing math (basic addition and subtraction) which is his favorite subject. During the academic year there are still a lot of fun creative activities the kids do. Last week they built tee pees with sticks outside and did an experiment with eggs and the colors they turn when you put them in different drinks, so you can see how different drinks may effect the color of your teeth. The school is health conscious and doesn't allow the kids to bring snacks with more than 8 grams of sugar to school. And yes with all this the kids still get to play a ton! My son has made some wonderful friends in the 7 months he's been there and we have made friends with a lot of the parents too. We even have been setting up regular playdates at playgrounds with some of them during this COVID pandemic so the kids really get to have fun with each other and be kids during this tough time. The school has been really safe during COVID. There have been no outbreaks. The kids are really good about wearing their masks and honestly my son who usually got a runny nose at least once a month and a fever once every three months when going to day care has not had any since he started at Devonshire Preschool. He is healthier than ever. The ownership just recently changed, but the new owners are keeping everything the same and really seem like a lovely couple that really care about the school, the teachers, the parents and the kids. This school has really been a blessing. We are so thankful our son is lucky enough to go here and just hope that his future schools will live up to it

It feels like dropping your kids off to be taken care of by family, it's small, and cozy, and so much fun! The kids have an awesome flow and structure to their day and they get to do so many fun things. From daily art and science projects, sensory bins, singing and dancing, amazing activities like visits from baby farm animals, puppies, water play, and fun holiday parties. My first child was a pandemic baby, she was severely shy and afraid to be away from us, within a couple of months at the nest, her true personality blossomed, she is now in TK and was chosen to be the speaker at her holiday performance, and can already read. I completely attribute these achievements to her time at the nest, where her true potential was developed. My second baby runs in every morning with joy, he has been there since he was 3 months old and has loved every minute of it. He loves his friends there and he loves his teachers, he's always so excited to tell me about what project he is working on. And we wouldn't have chosen to have a 3rd baby if we didn't have this amazing resource, the Nest is truly "our village", and we can't wait for our newborn to start going this summer! I wish Robin would start an elementary school so we could just stay with them for another decade. Love you ladies!

Our son was at Tiny Thinkers for over 2 years or so - There are definitely things Tiny Thinkers does well, which is why we kept him at the school -- our son did progress in life skills, for example like potty training, He did learn, the kids seem happy overall, and the campus itself has potential to be fantastic. There's a lot of heart here, and when things are done right, the children benefit from it. That being said, there are areas that really need attention to match the tuition and expectations. Communication and accountability with the teaching staff could be stronger, particularly when it comes to child care knowledge and day-to-day standards. We've had to remind them multiple times about basics like keeping the kids clean and presentable, which has led to several "coaching moments. Cleanliness is another point that could use consistency -- not just the facility, but the children's appearance at pick-up. The school would benefit from investing in more training for teachers -- not just in child development, but in creating an overall experience that parents love, not just tolerate. When teachers are well-trained in both child care and parent communication, it builds confidence so families can feel secure and supported without the need for constant follow-up. Parking can also be frustrating. Without a reasonable grace period for pick-up, parents can feel penalized for situations that are sometimes beyond their control. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because there's definitely room to grow. The foundation is here -- the school just needs to buckle down on these operational details to truly deliver the level of care and professionalism families expect. I realize I'll probably get a diplomatic response to this review from the school director, but this isn't about diplomacy -- it's about truly hearing the feedback and using it to make changes. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn't mean it's the best way. The goal should be to evolve and improve, not to explain away why things are the way they are.

My oldest daughter will be leaving TLC next month to attend elementary school and I will have one last child transitioning to Ms. Mitra's older group (4+). I could spend days writing about each lady and how amazing they have been with my daughters at every stage of their growth from infant (Ms. Swarna and Ms. Maryam) to toddler (Ms. Nina, Ms. Crystal, and Ms. Elizabeth). All of the ladies including others I have not mentioned have made my daughters feel loved and heard as opinionated toddlers now. Specifically though I want to highlight Ms. Mitra, my daughter Sofía has been with her for this past year and has grown immensely academically and socially. She is the much needed structure that older little kids need. Ms. Mitra has done an AMAZING job preparing my daughter for school. She has learned everything that she needs and more to excel in kindergarten. As a teacher myself I understand the work and countless hours that one spends at home preparing for her students. I know that Ms. Mitra puts in 120% into everything she does and teaches our children. I am beyond grateful for everyone at this school and can't imagine not having all of these great ladies supporting my children but they will have to grow and move on. For those considering this school, you cannot find anything better and most importantly piece of mind that your kids are well.
