Got a flat this morning. Called to have someone come put the donut on so I could get to a tire shop. The phone system is automated but it worked well. Had someone at my house in less than 30 minutes. Only took him about 10 minutes to pump up the donut and put it on the car. He was a nice guy and did good work! It was less than originally quoted too, which was a nice bonus. read more

I am filing a formal complaint regarding a tow service dispatched through AAA. During the service, the driver initially told dispatch that my vehicle would be loaded onto a flatbed. However, upon arrival, he informed me he intended to drag the vehicle before placing it on the flatbed, which could have caused damage to my car's electrical system. This directly contradicted what was communicated to dispatch and raised serious concerns about proper handling procedures. When I contacted the company to address the issue, the manager responded in an unprofessional manner. He became hostile, raised his voice, and refused to provide his name when requested. This behavior is unacceptable and does not meet basic standards of customer service or accountability. I am requesting that this incident be formally investigated. I would also like clarification on the company's towing procedures and assurance that drivers are following proper protocols to avoid potential vehicle damage. A complaint has already been filed with AAA, and I will be pursuing this further through consumer protection channels if necessary. Giving kudos where kudo's due. AJ's Towing came to our rescue after Loyal towing dropped the ball and canceled on us on and left my wife stranded and waiting for 2+ hours. AJ's picked up the job when our auto insurance's roadside assistance service received the cancellation notice almost 2 hours after Loyal originally agreed to take the job. AJ's wasn't super fast coming, so 1-star off, but at least they showed when they said they would, about 45m-1hr after the job transferred to them. At this point, I had come back w/another vehicle to let my wife get back home and eat and rest a bit. I don't recall who responded and came to tow my car to get our 1 nearly new tire that somehow got a hairpin puncture to the tire center, but he was professional and pretty quick about it, and the ride along was fine too. We will tentatively rely on AJ's in the future for towing services if we have a choice in roadside assistance providers and definitely avoid Loyal. The tow was free w/our roadside assistance coverage, but I see that it could cost a pretty penny if using them and you're not w/your car (they could tow your car to their tow yard and your belongings as well as the cost to get your back car back could be astronomical, so I'm not sure what that's about, but the super low reviews on Yelp here are concerning). The reviews seem to be either 1-star or 5-stars and that's usually not a great sign either, so just be aware to only use AJ's if you are w/your car and will be able to stay w/your car the whole time, and of course, document (pics and record) and report any suspicious activities. read more

I had a busy day planned with guests coming this weekend. Got into my car, and it wouldn't start. Clicking sound indicated the battery was dead. I called Geico and told them I wanted the battery replaced. Luckily, AJ's Towing came to the rescue. They had helped me before with another car. They agreed to get me a battery, called me about my price requirements and told me where they had an account. All very transparent and courteous. He quoted me about an hour, and he was absolutely accurate. He arrived at my complex in an hour and had the battery installed in about 10/minutes. I normally just rate food but I had to rate this business. I am riding my motorcycle down the road and it just died. Thank God I was not on freeway. Called Geico for tow and they sent AJ Towing. Took about an hour for them to come which is not bad. Idriss is an experienced professional doing this. He tied some straps to forks attached to chains. He had remote device to pull bike up while sitting a bike. He tied the bike down securely with more straps. I had a tow about a year ago and it was a nightmare, 1st guy did not know what he was doing and sent another guy who was only a little better. It was not this business. Amazing service for heavy duty oversized trucks. I used another third party service and they kept sending out tow services who were not equipped for heavy duty towing and had me on stand by for over 8 hrs until I found aj on google. They were responsive and able to go tow my 16 foot Penske truck with a flat tire. I do admit they charge a bit high $500 for a 3 min destination tow. I was so exhausted from trying to find help for a vehicle size I had I was willing to do whatever get it resolved. They def saved the day for me. read more

I had an issue with one of my business vehicles and called A J. I gave the gentleman the information, kind of vehicle, location, etc. calling AJ because his tow business was in close proximity to the tow needed. The person said he was calling me back and would let me know avaiabilty etc. to tow. Shortly, before he called a person called me (the driver of AJ Tow) telling me he was able to tow and the bill would be 450.00. Now, calling me back was...Carlos (I think) said...550.00 and sent me a link to pay. He answered the phone with ,"Hello , Quality Tow Service" I said I was calling AJ Tow...He said "Oh this is AJ Tow" I questioned the name change and he assured me it was the right company as well as the difference of 100 bucks was to be paid. I did not stop the tow as AJ was on the way. I feel I need my 100 back and I questioned but no, Sorry, etc. JUST 550 pay on line. (Which I didn't because they wanted a copy of my license as well as all info.) Carlos called back and I gave him the card info. Yes, paying 550. Do not do business with these people. P. Unfortunately our Tesla had a total power failure after a supercharging session on the way to a ski trip. Fortunately Tesla service routed us to AJ's whereby Durani came by to help us out. After numerous attempts by him to try and start the car, he loaded up our Tesla onto his flatbed truck. He offered to take our Tesla 100+ back to a Tesla center near our home and offered to take us with him in the truck. My car radiator hose broke and I was only able to exit the freeway to wait by an empty field. My insurance initially contracted with another towing company (more on that later) but upon second try, AJ's Towing was dispatched. Due to my location, system put me at an address slightly farther away (and over mileage limit). AJ's driver contacted me almost immediately (and he was already en route!), asked for my exact location and provided me with an ETA that was much sooner than expected. Driver was friendly and respectful but what was most impressive was when GPS directions provided a different mileage to my destination, my overage mileage was adjusted. I was charged accordingly for the extra miles and very much appreciated the effort and honesty. Would highly recommend AJ's Towing as they were super fast, professional and honest. (Initially my insurance contracted with Extreme Towing in Diamond Springs/ Placerville. In contrast to AJ's Towing, they had an operator call to collect the over-mileage payment, before they would dispatch a tow truck. AJ's tow are no good people. They were called to tow my vehicle and from the time it left the parking lot it was in and arrived at their tow yard, ALL of my belongings, including my expensive luggage, totaling 8K were gone from my trunk! They stole the things out of the trunk and laughed about it. The driver Mohmed told me to call the Ghostbusters. I am filing a claim with my insurance to go after them, complaint with BAR, multiple other complaints, as well as a lawsuit against them. They will definitely be receiving their Karma. Customer UPDATE 11/25/25: We did in fact report this in person at the address 3534 51st ave, and your driver laughed and said, "call the ghostbusters!" So maybe you need to check what's going on with your employees before you come here and reply to customers. I have been trying to contact a manager or owner for 2 days now and your dispatchers will not connect me to a single one! Other customer reviews mention that their items have come up missing during tows with your company. The police report was not given to us upon pickup of our vehicle, we had to call your company and ask for it! And make an extra trip to come back and pick it up. On that report from the police, it states that the doors were locked, which is how I purposely left them because my belongings were inside. From the time of pickup of my vehicle to AJ's tow yard, my belongings came up missing. There was a driver working Saturday that picked it up and I've been requesting to speak with him but he will not return any of my calls. There is a lawsuit in process, as well as complaints to the BAR. I have proof of police report I filed; claim with insurance, and complaints with other agencies. read more

My Tesla suddenly went down one day on the freeway and was towed by an FSP tow guy to a safer location in a nearby plaza. That's when Tesla roadside connected me with Raheen from AJ towing. After my scary ordeal and dealing with the extremely rude FSP tow guy (S. Jennings I think was his name) I had a very pleasant ride with Raheen who had to tow my car all the way to Stockton 40 mins away because that was the only Tesla service center accepting cars. I was concerned because my car cannot be towed with wheels on the ground and wasn't sure whether to put it in towing mode. He assured me he had a lot of experience towing Teslas, explained how he was going to elevate my car off the ground, and made me feel at ease. Used this towing service less than a month ago and gave them a 5 star review. That interaction was great so I decided to use them again. Total different experience this time around. I needed a tow that's not urgent so I decided to make an appointment a day before just to lock in the time. When I called they gave me a quote that was $70 more than last time and this time the distance was shorter. Told them that I used this towing service before for the exact same car and shorter distance. They said ok since you're a repeat customer we'll give you another quote which is the exact amount the first time. WTF!? Do they just throw random numbers out to try and get as much from you as possible!? Anyways agreed on the price and setup an appointment for 8:30am. Thinking it's going to 8:30am then I get a confirmation text saying you're scheduled for 8:30-9:30am WTF! Why didn't the dispatcher tell me it's a window of time and not exactly at 8:30am. Regardless, it's not urgent so no worries. I get a call at 8:20am from the driver saying he is on the way. Still on the phone with the driver he says "I'm getting diverted to a priority call and the next available driver will come to me." WTf!?!? So fine. Not knowing when the tow will come so I called another towing service and they agreed to come in 45min for the same price. I then get another call from a AJ's driver at 9:15am saying he is on the way and will arrive in 20 mins. So I am like wtf I got 2 towing company coming. So I called the other company to cancel and paid a cancellation fee. 20 mins pass and nothing. So I called that driver back. No answer. Then I call their dispatch asking for a status and am told ohhh we diverted the driver to another priority call they'll be on the way soon. WTF!?!? So wtf is the point of me making an appointment and if priority calls keep coming in do I just sit there and wait all day? Unacceptable! Finally at 10am another driver called and said he'll be here in 20 min. So I am just standing by keeping my fingers cross that he don't get diverted to another call. SMFH ‍ 10:30am comes around and I finally got towed. The 2 stars are for the drivers. I know they have no control over this whole situation they just get sent wherever. The drivers have been professional and courteous! Will I use this company again? Most likely not. I'll take my chances and try other companies first before coming back here. read more

This review is based on two separate times I used this company for two completely different cars. Both times I received the same person, Ramon or Ramin. Because of him I will not use AJs towing again. On both occasions, he was difficult to deal with. The first time I was on my way to him and he was very adamant about wanting to charge me extra for not having a Key to my van(which I had, but I was 30 minutes away at the time but was on my way). A few times he would call and he explained to me that he was very busy and had other people to service that he didn't have time to be waiting for me and he had to charge me the extra charge for not having a key. I paid it, and all was taken care of. I should also mention this time I was charged $200 to literally go ONE MILE. Expensive, but I paid it no problem. This time around, I needed to change a tire on a completely different car and decided to give you guys another try. I didn't expect the same person again, however, and when he came he just looked at the tire, didn't even try to touch it and immediately wanted to just tow it. He also again acted very impatient with us so I just sent him on his way. I called another guy from another company and he was able to get it done with a regular wrench. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AJs Towing AT ALL. They charged me $200 to go One mile last time and this time probably would've charged just as much if I went along with getting it towed a second time.
