Efrain was incredibly helpful and patient with us as I strategized its overdue maintenance & our need to fix some of the van's electrical issues that were creating major headaches in my household. He got to know the idiosyncrasies of this vehicle, we talked & messaged together very effectively, & then we pinpointed parts that I ordered out of state & internationally. Where workarounds were necessary too, he was very open to considering them. A shipping delay didn't phase him too much, Efrain is so nice, & like I said was systematic & even better he's an excellent instructor for those of us trying to understand the complexities of automative repair & make sound decisions about our quirky vehicles. It's been just over 2 weeks since we completed this project, no problems since (knock on wood). And this battery issue had been dogging us for over a year! Anyway they were listed I clicked it said oil change is $74.99 right above it there were coupons. I click the one that says save $20 and boy it's a good thing I called because then I was told by the owner that they don't use Twism but not only that they are charging a ridiculous price of $130. Who charges $130 to change oil 5 quarts oil that you could get literally any automobile store for under $40. I don't know how this shop stays in business they're not truthful and they're taking advantage of the good citizens in SB.

He said he would be doing a differential oil change too. Upon inspection he said that they took out a spark plug and it looked fairly new, then took out another one to make sure it wasn't just one plug changed. He said it appears all the plugs were changed recently and we didn't need to spend money redoing that. The differential oil was changed recently too. He could easily have changed both of these, and charged me to increase his revenue, but chose honesty. It's a rare find to know that a mechanic company stands behind their reputation of honesty. I highly recommend Fairview Motors if you are wanting peace of mind knowing you are dealing with an honest company.

Out of curiosity I came to eddie because I've had great experiences here, jiffy lube is just convenient and so close to home. Eddie laughed and said my breaks were perfect. Then he said the easiest way to tell if you have a leak, he asked do you have assigned parking? Is there any fluid in your parking spit when you leave? I said no. He laughed and said YOU DONT HAVE ANY LEAKS!!! What a great man.

I chose them because I lived across the street, so obviously this was especially convenient given it would involve leaving my car there. Now, I drive 5 miles across town to them--hassle and expensive Uber ride!!--because they are worth it. I wanted to highlight their HONESTY: The time finally came this summer for me to decide whether I wanted to keep putting money into my 10-year old Audi or buy a new car. After he diagnosed *several* issues with my car that would have ultimately cost me near $3k, Steve recommended I just get a new car--and not only that, but to get a Japanese car rather than another German one so that I could save on future repairs. Obviously none of that would have been in an auto-repair shop's best interest, so I just really appreciated the honesty (and consistency...Steve had actually given me the same advice before, I just didn't listen back then!). Also, Steve didn't charge me for any of the above diagnostics. Anyway, I did a total 180 on my car search thanks to Steve's advice and brought home my new Lexus today.
