I was at jiffy lube for an oil change and I was told I had leaks, and my breaks where needing to be replaced and that my air filters needed replacing. Out of curiosity I came to eddie because I've had great experiences here, jiffy lube is just convenient and so close to home. Eddie laughed and said my breaks were perfect. Then he said the easiest way to tell if you have a leak, he asked do you have assigned parking? Is there any fluid in your parking spit when you leave? I said no. I bought a catalytic converter cover for my prius because of how many converters were getting stolen in Isla Vista. They installed it for a great price and were super friendly. They also didn't talk down to me about cars, which is a problem for a lot of women/girls when going to a mechanic. I had failed a smog test and brought my car into Simply Automotive to fix the issues. Eddie talked me through potential issues and how they'd be fixed but first offered to clear my error codes and see if the issue was legitimate. I drove my car around a bit after and came back and Eddie ran the codes and performed similar tests to ensure i'd pass my smog check. I did thanks to his help. My Mitsubishi Eclipse needs a power steering fluid flushing. I simply searched through Yelp and found Simply Automotive to be the nearest auto repair shop reviewed highly. This little shop did not let me down. Eddie did an excellent job to my Eclipse, at reasonable charge. Moreover, he is very honest. I asked him if I should change the timing belt at current mileage of 60k, which the manual suggests to do. He told me based on his experience that this was unnecessary unless I insist.
