My mom, sister and I were visiting from out of state and found AK Nails based on a recommendation from the front desk girl at our hotel. We went over and almost left because of the amount of people waiting (seems to be a popular place). The lady came out and told us she could get us right in and I'm so glad we didn't leave! My mom and sister got pedicures which they were both very pleased with their services. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered a fill in for Apres Gel-X and I was beyond happy with my services. The lady (Hoa, I believe her name is) helped pick my color and shaped my nails to perfection!!! I want to take her back home with me because of how great my service was! If we are ever back in the area, we will be visiting AK Nail Spa again!! read more

Third times, a charm, they say. 1st place we tried to get fills at...tried the: we need to fully remove your set and start over (a new set I just had done at a place near that was busy today) I was like, nice try lady. I just needed fills, and my daughter wanted gel polish. 2nd place didn't do acrylics. This place. The first beautiful ambiance inside, immediately greeted. The man who sits first station on the left did EXACTLY as I was hoping for. Filled then in BEAUTIFULLY and actually did hot pink, as I wanted. He suggested a reverse ombre, and I love it. He didn't make them crazy thick, they look exactly as 8 had hoped for. My daughter is very happy with her gel polish (mom: it glows in the dark) and even with a 40% tip and cost of colored powder acrylic fills, and her gel manicure it was less than the previous place we had been going and honestly far superior. This is our go-to stop from now on. read more

Went into this location with my daughter. They were busy, it's Saturday at 3p, so I expect it. Employee tells us to wait 15 mins for someone; runs water and seats up. We waited 35 mins in reality. Okay, no biggie. A tech finishes the ppl across from us, so now we're next. Sike! They start my daughter's toes, but the other tech goes to a woman who arrived after us. I don't understand if you see two ppl sitting next to one another getting a service, wouldn't you guys serve the two seated next to one another over a single person? They then proceed to tell me another person will get to me when they finish the ppl across from us. My water is freezing by this time and my feet look like raisins and you expect me to wait another 15 mins? No thanks. Definitely my last time coming. The customer service isn't top tier when I've come before, so this was the straw. read more

I went on Tuesday (2days ago) to get a pedicure they kept asking if I wanted a manicure as well I ended up saying yes. The following night (Wednesday) the gel peeled off. Went back today (Thursday) they fixed the nail now 2 other fingers peeled off. Either the polish was cheap or the person didn't do them correctly but I spent over $120 for nothing. read more

Update: the owner let me come back in and she fixed them and they are beautiful! The pedicure was good but short. The lady who filled my nails was horrible. I think maybe she couldn't see very well. The top coat is bumpy, they are uneven and rough and the paint is inconsistent. I'm on vacation for a wedding and super disappointed. I have to now pay again at home for someone to fix them. read more

I'm not exactly sure why my left big toe nail is so short... $51 dollars for a pedi is spendy. I had a short wait, the massage chair was great, and the service was pretty good. I'm not super impressed so I'll just keep going to Centre Pointe Nails. $51 for this BTW. read more

I'll give them credit for letting me bring in some god-awful gel that I bought online. That one's on me. But the lumps and poor application and attention to detail that's on them. There is another salon in the same strip center which I will be trying next time. They just seem overwhelmed and like they just really don't care anymore what goes out the door. read more

I was being treated very bad, bad customer service, they were talking about me I would say mocking me , the guy who did my nails was being rude, rough and very unprofessional and did NOTTT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION and was trying to do as he pleased and what HE wanted to do not me. I then got up because I did not like his work at all he ended up giving me long squared nails just how I wanted but gave me two different sized nails on all my nails so they came out different sizes if I hadn't told him to take it off I would've been left with that and he yanked it off ripping off my actual nail which hurt very bad. I got up and told him I didn't like his work and that if I could go to Jay who from now on will be going my nails and no one else but him, I do not trust anyone there to handle or take my service. Overall if you're going to book an appointment or go a walkin ask for Jay. I've never had a problem with him doing my nails.i also want to say that I did call the store but they kept nagging to me and were not being compatible. I also saw the reviews and saw that the store manager was replying to everyone's review but he is saying the same thing as in copy and paste for everyone's situation to which shows me no one there cares. read more

I came to AK Nails & Spa two nights ago as a last minute pedicure. At first the space looked very clean and professional, which I appreciated. The massage chairs were nice and the water was warm, everything seemed to go great. I chose their Lemon Pedicure ($35) because of all the services I'd be receiving. Don't get me wrong, the services included were great! My legs got exfoliated and I got a hot rocks treatment. But here is where I get to the negative side of the review: The man who did my services seemed very friendly at first, but then he made me feel quite uncomfortable and awkward with some of his massage gestures and staring at me very intensely. I don't quite know how to explain it but trust me, it was weird. Attached are some photos of my pedicure. As you can see the skin around my toenails looks dry, crusty, and irritated. The paint is already chipping (I was there until the lady "checked" them to be completely dry), and the coats don't look even. In person, it doesn't look like a $40 pedicure job (I tipped $5), but let it be known I probably will never come back. It's a shame because this location is fairly close to where I live and I was excited to try it out. I wish I could get my money back but oh well, I learn from my mistakes. I hope this review was helpful and if you do plan to visit I hope you have a better experience than I did. read more

This review is a 4 because Sophia is amazing. She was funny, kind, and most importantly she was incredibly good! My nails were perfect sns. They were thin and lovely. My pedi was a one/two stars. The last had long hair in a ponytail but I don't know her name. She didn't bother to talk to me at all and seemed annoyed to be doing my toes. She yelled at me that I should have told her something that I had told her but she either misunderstood or didn't hear me. The big toes were streaky and awful and ended up chipping significantly. I came back to have them touched up and the lady up front accused me of swimming too much. Then everyone talked about me while they fixed it. Terrible experience. I'll probably come back for Sophie because she was that awesome but the rest of them were rude and unprofessional. read more

This place is incredible. I got a cucumber pedicure from this place and it was amazing. The woman doing my pedicure took her time and really made this pedicure worth every. Single. Penny. They cleaned my feet, soaked my feet and removed callus'. Then they exfoliated, did a mask, then paraffin dippped my feet, followed by a lotion massage, hot stones, and a warm towel at the end. This was the best pedicure I've received in ages. read more

I absolutely LOVED the foot & leg massage by Kari - literally the best in years. However, my gel mani & Reg pedi were both chipped by 5 ish days. At $100 ish for both services, they really need to upgrade their products if this is the wear time. If you're a guy or don't require polish, it's a win, and I'd go for her massage. I just won't be returning do to the brevity of the polish. read more

Yesterday I was seen by CiCi and let me tell you, she did an amazing job. She was friendly, greeted me right away and asked if I wanted a water. She got to work on my nails and wanted to try something out on my nail and I'm so glad she did because the flowers she added really just made my whole set! Tried this place out for the first time. Told them I just wanted a color change for my toes, not all the extra things (hot stone, massage, etc) the guy doing my nails agreed. I told him what I wanted and made it very clear. I go to pay and was charged the full amount pedicure price with all the extras included that I didn't receive . The guy tells me "that's your fault not mine you didn't want." Very rude and unprofessional and charged me for services they didn't do. I feel completely scammed ! read more

always do my acrylics here been coming for about 2 years . Only go to Jay , everytime i tried someone new just because jay wasn't there they sucked ass . I asked for a soak off today and it was a completely random guy and he started popping them off and told me " soak offs take longer " I obviously knew that but everytime they try to pop them off it damages my nails . Don't come unless you make an appointment with Jay or any of the other artists on here that are mentioned as good nail techs . read more

EPIC FAIL The nail tech took more than 2 hours to complete my nails with what they advertised as the "New" SNS Natural Nails with a banner at the front door. The SNS Natural Nails system has to be very new with these nail techs because they are not experienced in the SNS nail systems and use old or substandard products. My experience started off fairly well, although my first instinct when I was told to have a seat at the cramped front table at the window, caused me to pause. It was so cramped with waiting seat chairs. The nail tech who greeted me, told me to sit down at that table and quickly disappeared. It was about 6:00 pm on a Friday and very crowded and loud. I was about to get up and then the tech return with an overwhelming amount of power color choices. As I started to look through them she asked for my right hand so she could soak off my old SNS nails which had cracked on a few of my nail from a different shop. I was rushed to pick my new powder colors trying to view colors with foil on my fingers was not easy. I picked the colors I wanted and she did not like one of the colors and changed it during the dipping process which was more translucent than the other colors on my other nails. Had she asked me I would have chosen to do all of my nails the same color. Hindsight... seeing the new color powder jar, it had a different name brand on the cap, which turned out that those nails were more lumpy and required more filling and shaping after the quick dipping process. After asking the nail tech for a new nail file, so I could show here how to properly shape my nails, she became very frustrated and rude and began fussing at me. Had I not reminded her that I was her customer who gave her a chance to receive my money and to bring others to her business, she would not have changed her attitude and try to correct her mistakes. Which took over 2 hrs to do. My take on this experience is that this shop as many others do not use the true SNS Natural Nail Powder System as they advertise and charge for, they are using different products (Only GOD knows what they are!) and they are trying to treat them as the acrylic powders/gel systems and they are a totally different nail product system. At $40 every time your customer comes in for a new color, you may want to do your best job and treat them better. Never Again will this shop get my money!!! This will not be a place I will ever return to... Good Luck next customer, if you choose to do so!! read more

Had been coming here for years. I got a new nail tech and asked for the cucumber pedicure (which I always got) don't know what the lady did or sprayed on my feet but one week later both my feet started to peel very bad. I called and spoke to Amy and all she could offer me was to come back and get 10% off. Really now why would I want to go back if it wasn't done correctly. This place is always busy but I don't think you get what services you pay for. And they can be quite rude! Sadly to say, I will not be going back here and will look for a new nail spa. What I pay, I don't expect my feet to peel horribly the next week. I had never experienced this result. They will seat you immediately, but yet your waiting for a nail tech. Not good at all. My nails are big and bulky, had to ask the guy to file one of my nails down more but honestly they all needed be filed more. So bulky with no clean shape to them. Plus I have no idea what he charged me for, it was more than the cost of the full set acrylics...but whatever if they want to rip people off, I definitely won't return. I had to file and shape the nails myself at home, just for them to be somewhat decent looking. What a waste. Please take these reviews seriously and save your money. read more

I had to come back to this salon three times in order for them to fix my nail. I always get gel nail polish because my nail polish never chips but for my nail polish to cheap three times in crazy. The only good thing is that they were nice enough to fix it everytime but I don't have the patience to keep going back everytime my nails messes up. I wish I would have gotten into them earlier in life, but hey it's never too late right? That being said, when I lived in Southern California I had a few places that I would go to that were really inexpensive. I say that because sometimes I'm in a hurry and just want to get a fast pedicure. You know, a nail salon is a nail salon as a nail salon. Until it isn't. I thought I was going to some average strip mall nail salon while I was stuck in the Phoenix area, waiting for my car to get fixed. But I was pleasantly surprised by this place. For one, everything is very neat and very tidy. The pedicure chairs are very recent, and stylish with glass footballs. I know it's a little thing, but it shows pride in ownership and the image the store wants to put out there. I will say, the basic men's pedicure is $33. That is about double of what I normally pay back in Southern California when I go. So I was eager to see what the extra money would get me. I will say this. My technician was really awesome. Sweet middle-aged Asian lady, who was very mindful to make this a pleasant experience. Some pedicure places get a little bit rough with the tools, she was very gentle, and dare I say loving as she was taking care of my feet. Pedicure for sure. I got to brag on the massage chairs. They seemed like they were updated and new. You know those massage chairs where you feel like someone is barely tapping your back? Not this one. This one felt like someone was actually rubbing out the knots in my back. I could have stayed there all day if they would have let me. The basic men's pedicure also included a foot and leg massage.. definitely not long enough, but what a great treat at the end of your pedicure. Bottom line? If I am ever back in Arizona in this area again this is going to be my go-to place to get my toenails done. You definitely owe it to yourself to go check this place out, you will not regret it!

Very nice and fancy on the inside, everything in here is very clean and pristine:) the workers are very friendly and I don't feel like they're talking about me like I do at other salons. They're only playing Justin Bieber which isn't dreadful but variety would be nice haha. They play this travel channel on the tv with no commercials which i LOVE ! Much better than having it on the news or any other channel that provides mindless babble. I got a gel pedi for 45 and a gel manicure for 55. AK nails salon is a very clean facility. What I appreciate most is that all their equipment is sterilized before each use. Hannah does my nails and knows exactly what I like. There are so many new SNS nails colors to choose from. I also do my eyelash extensions with her. Prior to I went to vlash to do my extensions and they fell out within a week however when Hannah did them they lasted almost 4 weeks. All techs go above and beyond to give all their customers the best service. Anna and others have done my pedicures and I have been happy with all of them. I've been to this nail spa about four times and even brought friends with me in the past, but unfortunately, I won't be returning after my last visit. I went in for a gel manicure and paid nearly $70, expecting a quality service. Instead, the gel started peeling and breaking off way too soon, and now my nails are damaged and breaking. If I'm paying that amount, I expect the product and technique to last, not just for the look, but also for the health of my nails. It's disappointing, especially because I had been a loyal customer. I have lived in the valley for very long time and have always found it very hard to find a place that does good nails that last long. I recently found ak nails after they had been open for about 6 months and I will never go to another nail place. Ann normally does my pedicures Jimmy normally does my nails and both done very good they don't lift they don't break and my natural nail underneath is strong and thick. I haven't had any problems with discoloring or cuts. I've never walked away not loving my nails I recommend this place 100%. read more

Hannah is the best! She always has my nails looking amazing and really cares about making sure they remain healthy and long. This is the hottest nail shop in Arcadia area and it's always busy. A tip would be to try and make an appointment if you can. I also recommend the SNS powder! It lasts a long time and doesn't chip, Hannah is a pro at this technique too! It was my first time here and I had great service. I was a walk in. They got us right in and Lee did a full set for me! My friend wasn't super satisfied so Another worker named Hannah did everything over for her and my friends nails look awesome! The owner/male technician is really a master at his craft. He is fast and sure with his movements. I've seen photos of the artwork he can do, but I didn't ask for anything fancy (just nude/neutral color) so that the manicure can last as long as possible without becoming unsightly. Today, I was at 4.5 weeks from my last fill, and honestly, if I didn't stare too closely, it still looked good before the fill! I feel like that's evidence of a really good technician! So, of all the different types of manicures one can choose from, acrylic (when done by a skilled and experienced tech) seems to last the longest. The salon was quiet and there were 2 other clients in the space during my visit. They prefer appointments, but will sometimes take walk-ins. The owner has always been pleasant and professional at each of my appointments. I'm so glad to have discovered acrylic here, at this salon!

Which the cost for short nails no color which they end up putting color is $48. I don't have money to waste for mistakes. I walk in requesting for my nails to look the same which had no colored and come out with a hint of color.
