Tina used her knowledge and expertise to recommend a color and treatment plan that was just right for my hair. She started with a color correction process, treatment system, and a great haircut. After about 6 months, she added caramel highlights that would not be too harsh on my hair and continued with the treatments. I didn't even mentioned it but she has such an accurate eye for detail and the knowledge to spot it. I went back and forth attempting to schedule for weeks and tried to book on three separate occasions. When I finally called and someone answered, there was a significant communication barrier, and the call ultimately ended with the person hanging up on me. You're correct that I've never received a service at your salon--but that is precisely the point of my review. I repeatedly tried to become a customer and was unable to successfully book an appointment. My review is about the customer service and booking experience I personally received. If your salon is so heavily booked that you are unable to accommodate new clients, I completely understand. However, potential clients should simply be told that upfront rather than spending weeks attempting to schedule an appointment that is never confirmed. I do feel that when someone is being unethical, it should be addressed. I went to Christine for some lowlights and wanted a FEW highlights to blend in, but I like my hair mostly dark. I told her this and she began mixing the products. It took her almost 2 hours just to apply the highlights. After my hair was done processing, I knew the color was awful. The blonde obviously didn't sit long enough and was very brassy. She then puts a deep conditioning in my hair (that I didn't ask for nor did she ask if I wanted it. She just did it). After that she put a toner in my hair. Again, didn't ask. All in all, I was there for 3 HOURS. When I went to pay, she tells me it's $275 and I booked for a $140 service!!!!!! How do you not tell someone that the price is going to be so much higher! She then tells me that I would have known the price if I did a consultation with her first. Why couldn't she tell me any prices before or during the service rather than just doing things I didn't even ask or agree to? She literally just put things in my hair. At the time, I didn't even know what she was doing. She told when she was ringing me up everything she did. I don't even like my hair. It is so brassy and streaky, and for almost $300, this should be the best lowlights/highlights I have ever had. I have never in my life spent so much money getting my hair done. I usually wear my hair up and it looks awful. When it's down, I have to be sure to part it in a certain way for it to look good. Otherwise, you can see places she missed. So many people that usually ask where I get my hair done has told me my hair looks awful, but I'm not going back and I can't justify spending anymore on my hair so soon. I think she was being extremely unethical in her business practice and, needless to say, I will not be going back and I do not recommend. *If she posts pics saying how great my hair looks, it is parted in a good spot. As I said above, it needs to be parted in certain areas to look good when it is down. Please let my photos of her work speak for themselves. Her color and application is beyond horrible. Update: she also lies. Her response is a lie. I did tell her I was looking for a new stylist because she does fry my hair, but I also told her I was very happy with the health of my hair now because I had cut off 3" a few months back and didn't want to damage it again. It has been about 5 months since i last put blonde in my hair. I have since just been doing lowlights. I walked in with VERY healthy hair. I also told her I love how my stylist did my hair just not that she damaged it. I never booked for another service and scheduled a different service because again I like my hair darker. I had to reschedule the original service because something came up. I also did not go back to give her a chance to fix it because I didn't want to chance getting more services done that I didn't ask for and pay more money to her. Seeing her lie of a response shows me I made the right call. I did end up getting it fixed by another stylist and am extremely happy. I couldn't wait a couple of months for this horrible dye job to grow out. Honestly, the fact that I hate my hair is not the main purpose of this review, and if that was the only problem, I probably wouldn't have written anything because that's just the risk you take going to a new colorist. The main purpose is that she did things to my hair that I didn't ask for and she didn't ask me to do them. So she can say all she wants her prices are posted and I should have known, but the reality is that I could have known her prices like the back of my hand and it wouldn't matter because she rang up the tab by just doing what she wanted. I will not be going back and forth with her. The fact is she is unethical and lies and you should question everything if you do decide to give her a try. Anyways, I asked for a medium brown since my hair is already dark black. The stylist asked if I want it dark black and hide my gray. I was taken aback bc I don't have gray hair and my hair is naturally black. I told her, I just want to do a medium brown and showed her exactly the color sample I want. She showed me another sample and said that it was the same color. I trusted her but I told her, I want the color that I showed her. Anyways, to make the long story short, the hair color she picked was still dark. I ended up having darker black. I was really upset bc this is the first time I experienced this. This salon is really great and we love the owner/manager! He is very nice, warm and really great at his craft. I guess, I'm gonna it a break since I'm still upset.
