Second time coming in for a haircut for myself and my mom. I like how her salon is not loud music wise. Rina was very kind and asked what I wanted. I wanted layers but didn't want too many that it looked like I didn't have much hair. Rina made a suggestion and it turned out perfect! Imo she charges fair for a women's haircut. Rina does an awesome job cutting my curly hair. I wear my hair straight a lot of times, and my hair lays beautifully either way. She has conditioned and highlighted my hair. I would definitely recommend the conditioning. I have a lot of grey, and not only did it smooth the texture of those nasty hairs the rest of my hair felt and looked so healthy. From the very first time I entered the salon, I was impressed by the professionalism, the calm environment, and the cleanliness. Imelda studied my hair, listened to my thoughts, and made suggestions--all necessary to a good consultation. Her work is superb, her personality is engaging, and she makes her customer feel appreciated. Imelda sells wonderful products but doesn't become overly zealous in trying to get the customer to purchase them. After reading all of the positive reviews for Serenity Salon, I purchased the available groupon deal. Imelda is great! She truly listens to what you want, asks questions, has great suggestions. Together, you make a game plan and she delivers. It's a smaller salon that she owns with her sister so don't expect a big fancy spa environment. unfortunally, my experience at this salon was NOT the best. The person that was to straighten my hair ( Rhina) did not listen any of my requests. After 30 minutes, the result was not what I expected !! .... My hair was not straight, it was wavy and puffy !! . I just I just paid $150 and I hate my hair. My stylist was Brenda. I was a new client today. I came in with highlights that were grown out and hair that had lots of dead ends. My stylist left me under the heat too long and had to use a toner.I wanted a Bob haircut which she talked me out of getting and ended up trimming less than half an inch and charging me more than what a regular haircut cost. I was not happy with my cut or with the color. The color was so dull and brassy. I told her I was not going to pay $200. She said the highlights were $5.75 per foil and she had used a lot of foils, which she did not discuss with me before doing my hair. I told her I was not happy with the cut or the color and she offered me an appointment with another stylist there. I am so disappointed. Needless to say I will not be back. I came in with dull highlights and dead ends and left with dull highlights and dead ends and am $150 out of luck. read more

BRENDA was horrible. She butchered my haircut and bangs particularly and now I don't know what to do with them. She never asked if I liked my haircut or even cleaned the cut hair from my face in the end. Walmart does a better job than her. read more
