My husband and sons have been going to see Tina and her staff at T Hair Salon for years while I was spending hundreds of dollars to have my hair over-processed and breaking. Completely distraught over having my hair ruined, I went to see Tina to get my hair healthy the way it once was. Tina used her knowledge and expertise to recommend a color and treatment plan that was just right for my hair. She started with a color correction process, treatment system, and a great haircut. After about 6 months, she added caramel highlights that would not be too harsh on my hair and continued with the treatments. I'm happy to say that after a year and a half, I am able to have blonde highlights again! I have been going to see Tina at Hair T Salon since 2015. In 2018 I moved over 45 min away and tried for almost 2 years to find a colorist/stylist as consistent and professional as Tina. I couldn't find one, period. I know travel to go see Tina because she earned it through her skill and talents. I never worry that my hair color wouldn't look the same appt to appt. I didn't have to go back because my slight gray coverage was inconsistent. She has knowledge to know when I used my sons blue toner shampoo for a few days and my tone changed. I didn't even mentioned it but she has such an accurate eye for detail and the knowledge to spot it. She didn't criticize me for using the shampoo but informed me of the repercussions that it had on my coloring. That is what a true knowledgeable professional does. Victor is a great stylist! He actually listened to what I wanted and did his best to help me keep as much of the length while still giving my hair volume. The salon is clean and spacious. Sadly, I will not be coming back here. When I first started coming here, they were humble and hungry for business, now it seems like the are too busy to help. It's seems like now, they are constantly trying to pass you off to a new stylist. Part of the reason people continue to give repeat business to a hair cut place, is because they like the way a particular person cuts thier hair. So to constantly try and push your client off to someone else, makes no sense! My wife decided to bring my 3yr old son here for his cut, rather than the normal "kids place" that she was taking him too. She LOVED the way his haircut came out and she said that we were no longer going to the OTHER place. So I brought my son back last Friday at 6pm(they close at 7) and I told the male stylist that I was going to wait for the female(forgot her name) who had just cut my hair the weekend before. After sitting there with my son for about 5-10 minutes, the lady asked me, "do you have an appointment"? I told her "no, but I don't mind waiting ". She proceeded to tell me the she could not do it and to just let the guy cut my son's hair. Since this was NOT the first time I had been passed off and because I know she saw me waiting for 5-10 minutes, I got upset and just told them I would go somewhere else, and got up and left. The reason I'm giving 2 stars rather than 1, is because Tina(the owner) is actually very nice and does a great job, however, she is currently out, due to the birth of her baby. Tried so many other salons before stumbling onto this GEM! Tina is THE BEST hair stylist in the Houston area! I have thick, Naturally curly hair that she knows how to cut and style. She is also a master colorist and consistently gives me beautiful highlights and low lights! My daughter who lives in Atlanta comes here to see Tina now as does my Husband, who is in love with the Men's scalp massage. Called to ask how much a kids cut would be for a 7 yr old, was told $14. When I arrived I told them I had just called about a kids cut. The hair cut took all of less than 10 min, upon check out I was told the cut was $18 b/c my daughter had long hair (it was 7-8" past her shoulders). I protested but they didn't waiver. I had to snip a few spots that were missed when we got home. She offered to cut my hair as well, which I really needed, so I got my hair cut too but she ended up cutting off a lot more than I wanted. The price for a woman's shampoo/cut/dry was $45, about average for the area. The staff is nice enough but I don't like being told one thing then have that change when I go to pay. read more

I can't even explain how upset I am over my experience at this establishment! I went in asking for 2" off my long (down to my butt) hair & ended up leaving with much shorter hair (barely touching my bra). The lady had no idea what she was doing & just kept cutting and when I was questioning her out of anxiety & frustration she said she had to make it even.It was even when before she started! After she cut a lot she thinned out my entire head with a razor which removed even more hair. I left with 6" of hair removed. I was in shock. I knew she cut a lot off my hair but I did not realize until I got home that it was a whole 6" removed. I tried to be positive & look on the bright side (no split ends) but I'm very disappointed & hate my hair length. The weird part is she didn't cut the front of my hair much so it's practically (1") shorter then my longest piece of hair. I don't recommend this facility for a trim, you'll end up with a cut. I wish I knew the woman's name, she barely spoke English so we didn't really speak. read more

The salon is nice and the people are experienced but they think they are so good and know what is just right for you. They don't really listen to your opinion and they got hair dye on the back of my shirt and didn't say anything. I didn't notice until my sister told me at home. Tina did amazing job on my hair. I had highlights but they grew out and I didn't want keep up with it . Tina suggested me to get it fixed to balayage with low cost and without bleaching my hair . I went in for a haircut and color, as my stylist in Houston became WAY too expensive. I'd been going to T Hair Salon for waxing my eyebrows; Thao does a fantastic job - I will not be letting anyone else touch them again! Anyway, not only were my services half price from those in Houston, but Thao did a great job with my hair. She recommended a new, more intense color than I'm used to, and though I was nervous, she assured me that if I didn't like it, she would fix it, no problem. Definitely need an appointment. Many walk ins but with only two people working, all walk ins were turned away. "Jennifer" was my stylist and she was very thorough with shampooing my hair but really scraped my scalp to were I was gritting my teeth. Clean hair though! Jennifer was quick and once again thorough with both the cut and style but after a couple of hours the cut doesn't work well with my very thick, very curly hair type. Price was very reasonable. I don't think she would have done a great job with different hair type. read more

I walked in with major stress since my hair looked horrendous considering I got impulsive and cut it to my shoulders myself. The stylists there did a great job on both of our hair. I had the highlights and my mom went in for the cut. Service was amazing. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a home. I would recommend not to do business with this salon, I was offered a discount certificate through social living or group coupon type site for a keratin treatment that was $70 (reg. $140) and they wanted to charge an extra $160 dollars because my hair was thick and long(to my shoulder). I recently bought a Groupon for T Hair Salon in Katy. I scheduled my appointment and just returned home. My stylist was Victor and I can say without question, that he did the best job of any stylist I have ever had in my entire life. He spent over an hour on my hair alone. He meticulously washed, conditioned, cut, dried and straightened my hair. Amazing attention to detail. Very professional and friendly, as were the entire staff. Definitely recommend. As soon as I walk in asked how I would like my hair cut by person behind the desk. As a new client found this odd replied though layered and no shorter than shoulder length.then a stylist came and asked me again how I want my hair cut. Repeated layered and not shorter than shoulder length. Then I was passed to a 3rd person who I barely understood and she chopped off my hair above the shoulders.
