    I had gotten my hair done, to add highlights, from another salon and they had done a horrible job. Maher assessed the situation and dyed my hair the way I wanted but also to add vitamins to add volume, keep my hair healthy until it grows out again. I'm happy with the results

    I am seriously dissatisfied with my hair. I came into the salon with a clear vision and with the picture for the color I wanted. The color did not take.     Seriously the best haircuts my kiddos have had...ever. Eddie and Maher were awesome with my 7 yr old son and 13 yr old daughter. The receptionist was super helpful in getting us last minute appointments (we just moved here from midland and school starts Wednesday!) and paired us with the perfect people.     Eddie cut my hair and it was beautiful! I told him he can cut my hair however he wanted and I was blown away by how fantastic it came out! Also had a very skilled and knowledgeable color stylist, Chelsea. I was amazed with the color and the ombre. Update - Came back a year later and told the new stylist that two months after Chelsea colored my hair it ended up looking very streaky. I requested balayage and another cut from Eddie. $300 later I left with even blonde balayage but this time it only took a month for it to become even streaker looking than the first time. I feel like for $300 my hair should've been gorgeous and paste at much longer. The cut Eddie provided was just more layers. Nothing fancy, definitely not worth $300. Over priced. Way over priced.

    It was my first time at Studio 99. I had the pleasure of working with Eddie, the owner. He listened attentively to all my concerns and understood what I wanted. I've been very hesitant to get bangs for years but Eddie did such a great job and I'm loving my new haircut!

    My daughter and I both needed color and trims. We have tried a few places in Katy but have not been fully satisfied when leaving. I trusted Yelp once again and it delivered! My daughter was a brunette and wanted to bleach her hair completely. She was fortunate to get an appointment with Chelsea and Eddie. Chelsea is a perfectionist and when the color was not exactly what we wanted, she knew it and quickly made a few adjustments. My daughter's color is exactly what she wanted and has been receiving compliments from strangers for the past 24 hours! Once the color was done, her hair was cut by Eddie. I enjoyed just watching him cut her hair. It was live art! He also cut her hair perfectly with a quick one minute chat about her style. She is so happy! I had an appointment with Rachel. I just needed an all over color and a few more long layers. Since I was a new customer, she was very cautious to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. The color and cut is great!

    Worst salon ever! Eddie basically forced me in his chair while his co worker ruined my wife's. He told me my cut was going to be free until I told him we were not happy with my wife's hair cut and color (blue) when she wanted white. I never write reviews about places but I specially created a yelp account just to post this. Hoping that it will not happen to others. $430 was the total bill just so everyone is aware. Way over priced! Please don't make the same mistake I did and let Eddie smooth talk you. Update 11/15/17- Just got my full refund from my bank since Eddie wouldn't refund my money and told me to "loose his number"lol this guy is so unprofessional it's not even funny. Thank god I used my card. AGAIN PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME!!! Update after studio 99 reply - Just so everyone is aware Alisha the manager if you want to call her that "put me on hold" but actually just set the phone down to talk crap about me to eddies wife and when confronted she tried to argue with me again. Just from the reply you can get the sense of professionalism they have. Nothing was stolen.

    I just moved to the area and I booked an appointment at this place since it had good reviews and I'm super glad I did!! Chelsea did my color. I was nervous leaving my old stylist since we had established a process getting my hair blonde, and Chelsea didn't miss a beat. She listened to what I wanted, and got it better than I expected!! Eddie dos my cut. It was super fast and it looks great! I'm definitely going back there in the future!

    Breaking up with a long term barber/stylist is as difficult to me as breaking off a long term relationship. I was relocated from Buckhead Atlanta to Houston Texas Recently and I lost the barber who I trusted to make sure I looked best to conduct business during the week with clients, and to look my best for my fiancé and family. I didn't think I would ever find someone who had the skills and the keen eye to provide the top tier service I was accustomed to in Atlanta... I was wrong. I found STUDIO 99, and the man who makes it the place it is, Eddie. He is truly a craftsman. He is so skilled that I can walk in and not say a word, and let him cut my hair how he knows it should be cut to have me looking my best. He is fast, but never rushes, he is careful and precise, yet never wastes your time or his. If you are looking for top tier service from a true craftsman, go to STUDIO 99, and go see how good you can look with Eddie at the wheel. As far as the facility, it is clean, modern and hip. Chairs are not bunched together and there are never used towels lying around. It looks as good as you will after you leave your appointment.

As small business owners ourselves, we know how important it is to treat customers with respect--especially loyal ones. This experience did not reflect that standard. To the owners and management: it is important to ensure your staff are properly trained in both communication and customer service. Clear language skills and professionalism are essential in this industry. Also, not every customer is looking for discounts or free services--we are simply looking for quality work and respectful treatment. During this visit, my sister's beautiful hair was shaved in the back with a razor to correct a cut that had been done too short. Using a razor in that way on a woman's hair is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. We understand that mistakes happen. We are all human, and sometimes language barriers or misunderstandings occur. However, what matters most is how those situations are handled--with kindness, accountability, and respect. This is a business that charges premium prices, and with that comes the responsibility to train and guide staff on how to properly interact with customers. We are not asking for refunds or free services. What we expect is acknowledgment, empathy, and clear communication about next steps--instead of being immediately asked to remove a negative review in exchange for a free fix. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it to improve the customer experience moving forward.

For my high school reunion last month, I needed to make sure my hair looked amazing since the water at my parent's house is disgusting compared to NYC's. Booking on their platform did not work for me so I called to book my appointment instead. I did a 10am on a Saturday, thinking ok I'll be done within an hour... *TWO. HOURS. LATER.* (haha) Honestly probably one of the longest blowouts I've ever had but it was definitely worth it and I wasn't in a rush. The chairs they have you lie down on for your wash are sooooo comfortable. My stylist Chasity gave me THREE deep shampoos and the last one I think I fell asleep as she massaged my scalp for the longest time. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a total sucker for a hair and scalp massage. For my conditioner she massaged my scalp AGAIN and then wrapped my head in a hot towel so it was a steam mask for 5-10 minutes. Like wow. The blowout itself was done with such precision. Using the Dyson hair dryer, my hair was gathered into small sections and every flyaway was tamed. I have a lot of hair and it's pretty long so I really appreciate her commitment to the process. My hair afterwards was sooooo soft, shiny, and silky. Chasity did an amazing job! Also, they're very reasonably priced. My blowout was $50... my salon in NYC could NEVER. Such a luxurious service for such a great price! If I ever need a blowout again while visiting my hometown, I will be definitely booking an appointment here.

Then she left to grab the color and came back saying she would not work on my hair at all. "Saltwater exposure and dead ends." Seriously? "Summer time!" That's not a reason to refuse a loyal, paying customer. Everything from my last appointment with Megan was right there in their notes, so they knew exactly what to expect.
