They weeds able to work me in which I also loved because I am super impatient once I've decided on doing something. I got in and it wasn't the spot I'm use to going to with champagne and all the fluff. But I liked it and it was busy. Giovanna was the stylist who helped me. She was great. She listened to what I I didn't like and what I wanted to accomplish. And she went right to work. Blonde is a difficult color to match with olive skin. She did an amazing JOB!! I was so pleased. I waited a few weeks before writing this review because I wanted to make sure I wasn't reacting emotionally and to give my hair some time to recover. I also want to be clear that this review is about stylist Maher not Eddie. I've been getting Brazilian Blowouts for years and have always loved the results. My hair is typically silky, smooth, easy to manage, and looks healthier after the treatment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Maher After my appointment, I followed his instructions and washed my hair the next day. Immediately, I noticed something was wrong. I couldn't run my fingers through my hair. It felt extremely dry, brittle, rough, and damaged. The change was so dramatic that I was genuinely upset and spent days worrying about what had happened to my hair. I returned to the salon to discuss my concerns with Maher and Instead of acknowledging that something may have gone wrong, he made excuses and dismissed my concerns. What shocked me most was when he told me that he doesn't even like doing Brazilian Blowouts. If that's the case, he should not be performing a service he isn't comfortable or confident providing. I paid nearly $600 for this service and was offered no refund, no partial reimbursement, and no meaningful solution. Since then, I've had multiple professionals comment on the condition of my hair. I go to a blow out bar and the girl who does my monthly blowouts, immediately asked what had happened because my hair felt unusually dry and overprocessed. When I told her about the Brazilian Blowout, she said that should never be the outcome and that the treatment was likely not performed correctly. And today, I went in for a trim somewhere else hoping to improve the appearance of the damage. That stylist also commented on how dry and overprocessed my hair felt. Once again, when I explained what had happened, she told me that a Brazilian Blowout should not leave hair in that condition. At this point, I've had multiple professionals independently confirm that my results were not normal. My hair is still struggling to recover, and it will likely take months, if not years, to get it back to the condition it was in before this appointment. I don't leave negative reviews lightly, but I feel obligated to share my experience. My biggest disappointment isn't just the damage itself--it's the complete lack of accountability afterward. Based on my experience, I would not trust Maher with this service or any other services that require chemicals because he clearly does not care or does not know what he's doing. read more

Because of other excellent reviews, I made an appointment with Eddie for a hair cut, and was not disappointed! Eddie masters his scissors with precision and detail. He listens to what you want and like, then he adjust it for your hair and face. And to take it one step further, he educates you on how to achieve the same look at home. Eddie cut my hair and it was beautiful! I told him he can cut my hair however he wanted and I was blown away by how fantastic it came out! Also had a very skilled and knowledgeable color stylist, Chelsea. I was amazed with the color and the ombre. Update - Came back a year later and told the new stylist that two months after Chelsea colored my hair it ended up looking very streaky. I requested balayage and another cut from Eddie. $300 later I left with even blonde balayage but this time it only took a month for it to become even streaker looking than the first time. Y'all. This place is where it's at! I went in for a haircut with Kimberly and she did an amazing job. Kimberly is super friendly and personable. I felt like we were old friends. She listened to everything I asked and and gave me the cut I wanted. Well a day or two in, I wasn't completely happy with my cut. My hair is heavy and i needed more weight cut out of it. Chelsea is a perfectionist and when the color was not exactly what we wanted, she knew it and quickly made a few adjustments. My daughter's color is exactly what she wanted and has been receiving compliments from strangers for the past 24 hours! Once the color was done, her hair was cut by Eddie. Worst salon ever! Eddie basically forced me in his chair while his co worker ruined my wife's. He told me my cut was going to be free until I told him we were not happy with my wife's hair cut and color (blue) when she wanted white. I never write reviews about places but I specially created a yelp account just to post this. Hoping that it will not happen to others. $430 was the total bill just so everyone is aware. Way over priced! Please don't make the same mistake I did and let Eddie smooth talk you. Tip.. when I used yelp to direct me, it took me to an empty field a couple hundred feet North. I think the address in yelp is missing the "south." I'm new to the area so I was a bit frazzled, but the helpful receptionist had me look up directions to BB's and I was able to find it instantly. Being new to the area, I was a bit anxious as I didn't know anyone who had used their services. However, I quickly felt better when Nadine sat down with me on a couch to discuss my hair. The was SO helpful! I tend to get overwhelmed and leave out details - not great when you're not asking for a specific cut and color. Nadine was very knowledgeable about their products and did a beautiful job on my color. I basically needed color correction as the summer sun bleached out my dark brown hair. Overall, greatly enjoyed her! Nadine passed me over to Eddie for the cut - he is the owner and a pro! I am a wash and go kind of girl and Eddie completely understood the beach wave look/cut I was going for - he is from California after all. I was amazed how quickly he cut my long hair, giving me lots of long layers. I was cut and colored in 2 hours, which was such a relief as I've had it take over 3 hours in the past. The salon overall is a great place to spend time. It has a very cool, rock and roll chic decor. The music is great and the entire staff was so friendly and conversational. I went in with little expectations because I went in with orange hair (I decided to bleach it myself)...after an hour of being talked out of blonde, another hair specialist (MAHER ) stepped in. Went here today for a new 'do, and I am very happy with my experience and the results! Jackie did my color; she was great! She was super friendly and she miraculously matched my existing color. Rachel cut my hair, and I loved her! So sweet and friendly, and she gave me exactly what I wanted. I have really thick hair, and she did a great job thinning it out, and then cutting it beautifully. I love it! As for the salon itself, it kinda feels like a dance club... the lighting is a little bit darker, there's dance music, etc. This was fine for me but I can see how not everyone would appreciate it. I recently switched from my stylist of 15 plus years in the galleria area because I moved to Katy and it's a pain in the rear to get to the galleria from my house. I was a bit hesitant to do so just because of the comfort level I had with my previous guy, and at that point, it felt a bit like cheating on your girlfriend. Very Hip and Cool Saon. The new addition to Studio99's color world is Nadine Kary. I have followed her for over 15 years! This is how AWESOME she is with color and fixing other peoples mess ups. She was able to match my extensions spot on with one try. My hair cut by Eddie was also just what I needed to help blend in all the new extensions and give me that layered/ Beachy look. I like a salon that does not carry every line just to make a sale. They are picky and only carry a few lines of hair products. Just the ones that work and don't mark up the resale so much like a lot of other salons. Studio99 is the place to go for sure.
