Patients are coming in and waiting longer than their scheduled wait times. I feel forcing elderly people to use the tablet to check in feels discriminatory because not all elderly know how too, also assuming that all people know how to use technology or want too is not good ether. These older people come in looking for someone to talk too and get a cold screen waiting for hours. Thats probably why they got rid of the front desk, so nobody can complain about the wait times. This company has got to get their facilities efficiency better. Very inconsiderate of their patients time & health.

After 20 min of waiting, I get called to the front desk and they tell me they don't have my lab requests from my doctor. They tell me I can keep my appt as long as my doctor's office, who already sent it back in March (2months ago), will resend it again. Also proceeds to tell me that if I came in 15-30 min prior to my appointment time, I would be seen on time. What logic is that? No where in the email or text confirmation does it state I need to come in earlier than my set appointment time. I call my doc office to resend it, they receive it at labcorp 15min later. They continue to have me wait and after a full hour since my appt, I still have not been called inside. They claim they keep all requests for a year but don't have my record from 2 months ago? When I do get called it, the tech asks if I have already given a urine sample, when I tell her I haven't, nothing happens. She finishes getting my blood samples and then says I can leave. I had to remind her about the urine sample, which is ridiculous! There should be a checking system to ensure they have everything from their patient before moving on. This office needs a better way to handle, organize and manage the patients info and wait time because this is unacceptable! I would be better off going to the one in Long Beach or Quest next time.

Located inside PIH Downey, patients can get their labs drawn after visiting their health care providers (provided they don't need to be fasting for their ordered labs). You check in at one the 3 kiosks there , easy peasy! Staff were seen on their phone while we're the only ones waiting to be seen. It took awhile for them (about 5-7 minutes before closing) to inform us they're verifying the type of labs from the physician's office. One staff said they called & no one answered. My aunt said she was just at the appt & when she calls, they usually answer right away. Sure enough, my aunt called & instantly, the doctor's office picked up. From that scenario, not very convinced the professional code is observed but who knows, perhaps they already clocked out but just hanging out while seated at the front desk? In short, we waited. Labs weren't drawn either way.

It can be busy, so you need to get a number and wait your turn. I went this week (11/12/2025) and it was fairly quiet, but as I was leaving many people were lining up. The people come in waves according to the workers. The phlebotomist who was there when I went was very good. I barely felt the needle poke me. Parking can be a challenge. The parking lot is small, so you may have to park on the street, but make sure you read the parking signs. Xie Xie!

You are the experience!! 5 Difficult Blood Draw Solutions | Montes HealthCare College You must take the tourniquet off after the needle is in the vein and blood flow is established, ideally right as the first tube starts to fill or within one minute, and definitely before you pull the needle out to prevent sample contamination (hemoconcentration) and patient discomfort/bruising, releasing it before final needle removal. Leaving it on too long (over 2 mins) can damage tissues, nerves, and alter test values, causing issues like bruising, pain, nerve damage, or tissue death (ischemia/necrosis) in extreme, prolonged cases. I felt BAD for the older lady that was getting poke over 5times I will report this clinic they need to be healed accountable especially after I told the Asian guy drawing blood why he kept the turn the tourniquet on if the blood flow was already existing!! The reminder does mention to come 20 minutes earlier. Parking in the morning is okay, but I can imagine it getting full for afternoon appointments. They open at 9, but people are there before 9 because 1st come 1st serve basis for their X-RAYS, etc. but for US it's by appointment, so I was seen right at the dot after checking in. I did have to fill out a form to provide my updated address and also paid for my copay before going in. The US technician was Sage and she was friendly, quick and got me out in 15 minutes. No frills!
