We had a birthday party to attend in Temecula and we needed a miracle. I scoured Yelp to see who made Lumpia in the Temecula area. We didn't want to make Lumpia at home, and drive two hours away so we resorted to finding the nearest Filipino spot in Temecula. Ordering was a breeze and the prices can't be beat! Hot, fresh and authentic lumpia with their house vinegar-based sauce is absolutely delicious! The lumpia is very authentic (legit!) and I immediately thought of being at home with my mother with every bite. Light, crispy and fried to a golden brown. Our order was packaged well so they wouldn't be soggy when we arrived to the party. We're not from the area so it was awesome that we found Aki's Lumpias. Catered food was delivered hot and fresh and it was delicious! Everything we ordered was made with great taste! Guests enjoyed everything on the table and we were pleased with the catering services! Various trays included chicken adobo, chicken and pork lumpia, spaghetti, chicken pancit (rice noodle), salt & pepper wings. We prepared for storage before our guests arrived with chafing dishes. To keep lumpia and wings crispy we left uncovered or partially covered as long as the condensation from the heat can escape and not trapped in as it will cause food to get soggy. The pancit bihon was very good as were the lumpias. But the sisig was 2 parts onion to 1 part pork and everyone spent most of the dinner removing the onions. It was incredibly frustrating and very disappointing. The other disappointing dish was the pork skewers. They were tasty but light in color and wet. He was very accommodating and let me know it was a busy time for his business and that usually he takes orders in advance , but I was craving lumpia's! aki is an amazing cater! they help me feed a party of 40 people and even had the food delievered to my location. But the most important part was the food was great! really good value for what you pay and how much they give you. we had so much left overs that people were fighting to take it home. they also worked with the time i needed the food by and they were on time and very nice.
