I cannot rave about Akiyo and her team enough. I have been in many weddings before and no other team was as good as her! I spent hours looking on websites, instagram, etc to find a good makeup artist that knew how to do Asian hair and makeup. I finally stumbled across Akiyo's instagram page and based off of her posts, knew she was aware of how to do a diverse group of people. I was also happy to find that she knew how to do both hair & makeup so i didn't have to do two different vendors. She is extremely detail oriented and sent out a form before my bridal trial to get a sense of what I like. She includes strip lashes in her prices but can also do smaller special Japanese lashes for a small additional fee ($20). I asked for natural makeup because I get so worried of looking crazy but she knew exactly what I wanted and made sure i felt comfortable every step of the way. They also used airbrush foundation on my face which I've never done before and found that it made my skin truly look amazing and not cakey. The hair and makeup lasted the entire night and didn't fade or run at all, even after I sobbed at the altar. Akiyo also has great energy and a wonderful demeanor.
