I reached out to Michelle about a week before my wedding to see if she was available to do a trial and for our wedding. She was and it was a fairy tale from there! We were having a small intimate wedding with no bridal party but I wanted my family and closer friends to have make up for the photos (about 6 people). Michelle was very responsive and a breath of fresh air she is professional, knowledgeable and experienced. She brings calm efficiency and teamwork to a wedding day. I wanted a mellow and calm experience with family and friends. Michelle fit in so well with the hair dresser, photographer and most importantly she put the family matriarchs at ease that they would look lovely for the photos and day. Michelle took her time and listened to what each person would like for make up. She made everyone feel heard and no one feel overdone which was very important. Michelle is able to work with folks of every skin tone which was important to me so that everyone was included and looked their beautiful. She had products which worked even on the most sensitive skinned people. She has a whole kit that is very thoroughly stocked and was very prepared for the wedding day. She arrived a few minutes early to set up and had laid out a time table for me to communicate to my family as to who was getting their make up done at what time. She coordinated this with the photographer's timetable which was very helpful! My make up was perfect for the full day including photos which was about 12 hours total. I did not have anything that needed any touch ups the whole night including after a lot of dancing. From the make up trial onward, I knew Michelle would be a great fit. She nailed the make up look first time on the trial. She also advised of a few specific items before the wedding to prepare my face as my sensitive skin was a bit dry and off. Her suggestions worked very well! Michelle is the person to use if you are looking for a calm team player who creates wedding day make up that amplifies one's natural beauty and coloring for photos. I found Michelle through my wedding hair stylist (Stacy Pitt from Styles on B) and she was fantastic! I wear almost no makuep on a daily basis (just cover up to cover the circles under my eyes and a tiny bit of blush) and was terrified of not looking like myself at my wedding. I wanted to wear makeup but I really didn't want to look overly made up (especially since I was getting married on an August afternoon, so it would be light out for much of the wedding). Yes, a lot of brides say this, and yes, a lot of makeup artists claim they can achieve a natural look, but I found that to not really be the case (I had trials with two other artists before finding Michelle). Michelle really delivered! Her air brushing is flawless and she made my skin look amazing. I found that other makeup artists wanted to cover my freckles and the porcelain look just didn't look like me. Michelle was able to make my skin look great without hiding the freckles. After my first trial I requested some tweaks to my eye makeup and she was more than happy to make them on the day of the wedding. She was fun to have around while we got ready that morning and the makeup held up all day. She is kind and friendly and had a great, calm vibe on the day. I felt beautiful and special and never doubted that I wouldn't look like myself but a more glamorous version of myself. My mom made the mistake of asking for a smoky eye, which she ended up not liking because that's not her personal style, and I wish Michelle had tried to adjust her eye makeup when she realized that she didn't like it, but I'm also not sure that my mom really stated what she wanted and can understand that it was likely a miscommunication.
