Their work failed. Attempteds contact by phone, text and e-mail all failed. I believe they are out of business.

LOCAL BUSINESS REVIEW: My wife Rose and I always like to deal, first, with local businessmen and…read morewomen. But we have crossed off Fireplaces & More in Green from our list. We paid $1,700 for an electronic gas log fireplace unit three years ago, with a personal check that cleared immediately so the owner wouldn't lose any money if we paid by a credit card. The unit has never worked as easily or efficiently as he said it would when he sold it to us. After Sunday's widespread power outage in Summit County, the pilot light starter went out. I still have the instruction booklet and followed the lighting instructions to a tee, several times, but nothing happened. So I called the owner, Dana, and asked if he would come over to re-light the pilot light for us. Reasonable enough, right? Well, Dana said he would come out for a $165 service call, which I felt was totally outrageous. He said that I would not find anyone around here who would come out for less than that. Two calls and about 10 minutes later, I found a local company that would do it for a $119 service call. Dana, the Fireplaces and More owner, has been out to our place at least four of five times in the last three years to fix/replace the electronic starting unit, which was always a problem from the beginning. I could understand if this unit was some cheap thing from a big-box store, but it's just the opposite, from a local business that's supposed to stand by its high-end products, or so I thought. After I texted him several times to inform him that I had quickly found another local business to come out to our place for far less, he didn't even have the courtesy to call me back after he gave me the outrageous $165 quote for what would most likely be a short, 10-minute SERVICE CALL! So beware of Fireplaces or More if you expect good, reliable and prompt service. If anyone has a suggestion for someone else to help us, please message me, thank you.

We called about an estimate and they came out the next day. Our estimate was free and I liked that they offered us many different options as far as replacing some damage to our damper. Honestly my husband and I had no clue anything was wrong with the fireplace/ chimney except we knew that the gas piece wasn't working (not that we wanted gas anyways) but we told the gentlemen we were looking to use the fireplace occasionally not as a main source of heat for our house during the winter. He was very up front and honest with us and told us we mostly likely didn't need the extra pull at the top (to prevent freezing) since we would only be using our fireplace occasionally but that if in the future we ever wanted to add it on we could. I like that they were up front honest (showed up on time) and didn't try to up sell us. I would recommend them if you are looking for fireplace work: repairs to be done

Called a few days before thanksgiving. Okay no call back so I called again the following week, and no call back. In total I've called three times, left two messages, and sent inquiries online. And still no contact. Not even sure they got up to see the top of the chimney. I've since contacted another chimney specialist and he has shown me ALL that they had missed. Smoke shelf was not cleaned and had debris hung up, many spots missed on the "cleaning", and firebox was not scrubbed of creosote. My wife said the gents that came out were nice and courteous. Maybe because we're just a small job they don't want to deal with us, but at least let us know you don't have time.

We asked that the quote be provided met two criteria, under $3,000 and heat our home. The most important piece being that it heats our home. Mike provided options of units with links to details of the options. The links did not work and we were unable to see product details. Given that we asked that the options heat our home, we went with the most cost efficient option assuming that he quoted our primary need. After installing the unit, he told me in person that it may not entirely heat your home, but it will provide some heat. A week after he installed the fireplace, our boiler stopped working. We had the fireplace on for 5 hours and it didn't even raise the temperature in the room the fireplace was in by 2 degrees. After reaching out to Mike to see if there were other options, he provided other options but put the blame back on us for selecting an option that wasn't sufficient. He should have never quoted inserts that would not met our primary need. Mike was very polite when installing the fireplace but I am highly upset with the quotes he provided. As a consumer, he should not assume that we know what specific units with specific outputs will do as far as heating a home. Mike removed our only alternative heat source by installing an insert that would not suffice for our home size. We can no longer burn wood in the fireplace to heat the home. My husband and I just had a baby and needed an option that would keep our family safe during the cold months.
