On Wednesday morning, I called and was told the results would be ready that afternoon. Since my office is across the street, I walked over -- no results. I went back Thursday morning and was again guaranteed they'd be ready that afternoon. Returned Thursday afternoon -- still nothing. I explained multiple times that my cardiologist appointment was 8 AM Friday morning and was reassured I would absolutely have the report in time. Friday morning, after being on hold for nearly an hour, I was told they were "working on it." I then went back in person and waited another 45 minutes just to speak with a manager. She finally admitted there was a technical issue delaying calcium score reports. My frustration is not only the delay itself, but the fact that nobody was honest with me all week while I continued wasting my time going back and forth and relying on repeated guarantees that were never fulfilled. Because of this, I missed an important cardiologist appointment that took four months to schedule. A simple honest explanation earlier in the week would have allowed me to reschedule appropriately instead of being repeatedly misled. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

Yesterday at 310, I found out there was another office upstairs at 300 W 41 Street with an entrance a couple doors down from 310 W 41 Street. They do ultrasounds upstairs. So I thought I better do another review for 300 because things were different upstairs. Things went very smoothly upstairs, contrary to downstairs. I arrived a little early. Checked in and sat down. Within 1 minute, the ultrasound tech called my name and whisked me off to the ultrasound room. Within 30 minutes, she was done, and off I went to do other errands. She was very nice and professional. I am impressed with the customer service upstairs and would return for any future visits.

When I needed imaging for my checkup as part of my full wellness era, I found Unique Imaging as it is close to my house, has pretty convenient hours and had the most cost effective. I called to make my appointment, and gave them my insurance information. When I get there, it occurred to me to try and use my secondary insurance. Even though it was toward the end of the day, the office manager called and got the secondary insurance processed, and I walked out with the same amount of money I came in with. Back to the medical part, the wait was reasonable both before coming in to the procedure room, test itself and waiting for them to burn a CD to take to my doctor. (They also didn't charge extra for that.) They also provide a QR code / web portal address to share your images. The testing room itself was clean, and the scanner didn't sound like I was standing next to the speakers in the main stage at Ultra. The tech who did my imaging was knowledgeable and pleasant. I also appreciated that they forwarded the link with the images to my doctor and that apparently the images were clear enough that I wasn't asked to repeat the testing. The facility is located right on Biscayne Boulevard, with parking in the back both valet & self park. Side note for the history buffs, this is the building that used to house the police museum, the FBI museum and the restaurant where we had a fun elite event.
