Al Basha is a combo of a small grocery store and a restaurant but there is a lot of cool things inside. I don't come to fishers often but this is definitely somewhere I wanna visit wherever I'm in the area. When I went there was no buffet (I need to try that next time) so we ordered hummus to share and I ordered a chicken souvlaki wrap and fries from the menu. The food took about ten minutes only. Hummus was a bug portion served with 6 pieces of pita bread. It was so good. Smooth and flavorful. My wrap was great as well, it had not only chicken but also something like tabouli. They had all kinds of soda drinks in the fridge. I had never seen any of them before and it was quite exciting. Although this is a sit down restaurant when I paid with my card, I was told their card machine doesn't give any tipping option, to my surprise. I recommend brining some cash. The grocery store had fresh veggies, meat and bread.

This was our first and definitely not our last time eating here. Small restaurant, market attached, very kind service and good recommendations. He gave us complimentary hummus and it was THE BEST hummus I've ever tasted. Delicious soft pita on the side. I got a chicken kebab platter and it was outstanding. Sauces were delicious (red sauce is spicy but the flavor was wonderful), and SO much food. Very generous portions- I took a meals worth of food home! The salad was perfect- olives, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, great dressing and feta cheese. Overall highly recommend. Don't skip this little gem! We will be back, we loved it so much!

I would rate this place 100/10 if I could. This is a small little restaurant attached to a grocery store and small bakery. But despite the small restaurant, the service was phenomenal, and the food was amazing. I didn't even take a picture of the cake we got from the bakery but that was just as delicious as our meal. With so many Mediterranean options this is the one I pick to frequent!

It's been while since I visited Al Basha for the lunch buffet. Just as good as I remember. Served Fri/Sat/Sun 11am-4pm; items vary each day of the weekend. No gyros today, so made a pita with chicken, cucumber, tomato. Visited after the regular lunch crowd, and greeted warmly by Ahmad. Star of the show-- Basbousa coconut cake (Egyptian semolina cake without egg.) Tastes just like my favorite coconut macaroons and oozy-gooey sweetened condensed milk.

The LEAST tasty falafel and cold fries I've ever had. Such a waste of a carry out dinner night. Do not recommend!

So far it smells great . It just a few tables in the back of a Greek grocery store . In no way i attractive restaurant far from it but I've had some great food in hole in the wall restaurants .I'm getting the kufta sandwich hubby ordered the gyro platter . We are having the Greek salad and large humus plate . The portions are larger than we anticipated . I'm not a big gyro fan but this was obviously " home made" and the best I ever tasted . My kafta was likewise well seasoned and really good . The hummus had a good amount of tahini in it which for me is a plus . The baba ghanouj was obviously made with roasted eggplant and had a lovely smoky taste . We will definitely go back .

Enjoyed lunch here for the first time and will definitely return! I had the gryo hummus and salad combo and it was huge!!! So much food, well worth the price. The gyro meat was tender and flavorful, and the hummus creamy and delicious. The salad was a standard greek salad, but quite fresh and the dressing was excellent. I wish the tzatziki had more cucumber, but it is winter... The service was efficient and friendly.

Wowwww. That's my review. Yes, it's "in" a grocery store. But there's a full sit down restaurant. We were seated promptly and told our food would take 15 minutes (so you know it's all fresh). The food came out much faster than that. I embarrassed my mother by licking chicken shawarma off my fingers. Not even "the look" was able to keep me from dipping my fork straight into the garlic sauce and eating it. Apologies to everyone who I talked to for the rest of the day. If I had to pick a downside, I guess I'd say that they don't have Diet Coke. But they do have a fridge of sodas, most of which I've never seen before. The tangerine Schweppes was delicious. I took home some hummus to share with my husband and then hid it from him so I could have it all to myself. I'll be back for the weekend buffet!

Since it was my first visit, I wasn't sure what to order, so I looked over the menu and asked one of the employees for recommendations. He was very friendly and took the time to explain a few of the popular options. I decided on the Arabic Style Double Shawarma which came with two rolls cut into bite sized pieces so I could try both the chicken and beef. I was undecided which one I wanted so went with both. I knew the portion would be too much for me to finish, but I planned to take the leftovers home for my family. It came in a box and was around $27 which included fries, coleslaw, and several dipping sauces. When I opened the box, I was happy with the portion size, it definitely felt worth the price. The presentation was nice, and there was plenty of food. My only complaint was that none of the sauces were labeled, so I had no idea what each one was. After trying them, I believe my favorite was the garlic sauce. It would have been helpful to know what each sauce was before dipping. The coleslaw was surprisingly good and ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. The rolls themselves were well seasoned and flavorful. Between the two, I preferred the chicken over the beef, although both were tasty. The only downside was that the fries were placed underneath the rolls, so they became soggy from the steam and juices. I think separating the fries from the rolls would help them stay crisp longer. I ended up eating most of the fries first since I knew they wouldn't reheat as well, and I only ate two chicken pieces and one beef piece before I was full. I took the rest home for my family to try. They thought it was just okay and said it wasn't something they'd request again. Since the sauces weren't labeled, they were also hesitant to try them. I enjoyed trying it and appreciate the value for the price, but I'm not sure it's something I'd order again. They have other menu items that looked good so I may try those out next time. We ate inside, they have comfy dining seat options including booths and tables. I enjoyed the lit up Mr. Shawarma sign. Since I didn't purchase a drink at this visit, I wish they would have complimentary water station.

I called ahead and ordered: 2 kebab sandwiches 2 falafel sandwiches 2 kibbeh orders baba ghanoush fattoush salad The employee on the phone told me the order would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, I was told it would actually be another 17 minutes. I waited in my car, came back after that time passed, and then was told "maybe 13 more minutes." The biggest issue was not just the wait -- it was the lack of honesty and time management. If the restaurant had simply said from the beginning that they were behind and needed closer to an hour, I would have understood. What frustrates customers is being repeatedly given inaccurate wait times. People plan their schedules, families, and evenings around the times restaurants provide. After waiting inside, sitting directly in front of the counter, I watched the cook START preparing parts of my order almost an hour after I originally placed it. Items like the baba ghanoush, salad, and kibbeh -- foods that are usually already prepared -- were only assembled then. Meanwhile, customers who arrived after me and ordered at the restaurant were served before my takeout order was completed. Unfortunately, the food quality also suffered from the long delay: The sandwiches were soggy The salad had water pooled at the bottom and no dressing The kibbeh was soaked in grease For the amount paid, I expected much better service, communication, and food quality. A simple apology and realistic timing would have made a huge difference.

Mostly it's because Yelp doesn't do halfsies or fractions, so I'm rounding up to four stars. The baba ganoush was amazing, though. I could literally eat Mediterranean and/or Middle Eastern food every day, and mostly it's because of baba ganoush and flatbread. That eggplant dip is one of my favorite foods in this world. Mama Saaj has some great baba ganoush and decent pita to go along with it. I also got a side of falafel, which came with a little container of tahini. The falafel were just OK. They were dry, which was a shame. Perhaps they were fried a touch too long. But I made baba ganoush tacos with my falafel by wrapping everything up in a pita triangle. With a little baba ganoush to hydrate them, the falafel were pretty decent.
