Slowly making my way through The Garage. This trip I had Mama Fofo's. Greek food is one of my favorites and this did not disappoint. I had the chicken gyro which was super filled with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki. It was super messy and everything fell out as I was eating, but I just ate it like a salad. My brother had the gyro melt which was like a deep-fried phyllo sandwich. The staff were super friendly and we got our food quick. Solid four star option in the Garage Food Hall. I was there looking for a healthy lunch option and decided to give them a try because they didn't have a line. I thought that meant the service was fast, but boy was I wrong. On the flipside, my food was delicious and the value was high. Pros: - I got the falafel wrap which came with a side of fries for $12. The portion was enormous! - Everything was made to order and was really fresh. The falafel itself was very crispy on the outside and warm inside with great texture. - The fries were thick and seasoned well. Cons: - The wait time was a little out of hand. The individual working really tillytallied around and I was standing right there waiting. He didn't seem to care. I was the only one there and it took about 15 minutes. - They weren't able to give me a receipt which was annoying. - Some of the veggies on my wrap were so large it made it very difficult to eat. I went to pick up my Yelp Indy elite squad perk at 4 Birds Bakery , and decided to grab some dinner while I was at The Garage Food Hall. I decided to try some Greek food at Mama Fofos. The menu looked good, so I choose the falafel wrap with fries and a small house salad to go. The woman was very nice and professional when she took my order. It was a bit of wait because they were other orders ahead of me, but it took about 15-20 minutes to get my order. The presentation of the falafel wrap was nice, and it did taste very good. The small house salad was good, but not the best house salad I have ever had. For a Greek vendor, Mama Fofos was Ok and decent at The Garage Food Hall but I would not go back there unless I craved Greek food. The Garage Food Hall has other selections that are of higher quality that Mama Fofos. I'm not saying this to be mean, but the food was bland and lacked flavor and consistency. I feel I would be better off trying another vendor at The Garage Food Hall for lunch or dinner. That is my two cents worth. Hope it helps! Fun place in the Garage food hall. Fast service I had gyro very quickly. The fries were solid and spiced nicely. The gyro was too full to eat. I know everyone likes a big portion but I had to eat half the meat and scrape out excessive yogurt to be able to pick it up to eat. Very messy but it was good. read more

We stopped here at garage food hall before a convention in Indianapolis. We did the full walk around and this place looked like it had some really nice food to stop in with. Being a food hall meant that there was a lot of activity every direction . Even so there was not a line and people were very friendly. The food itself was delicious . I personally had the falafel and found that it was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Their sauce also was really good for both the wrap and to be used on the fries. Tried this place at the Bottleworks garage. It's good. I got the falafel pita and fries. The fries were ok, but the pita was AMAZING. The falafel was so good. Crispy on the outside, but hot and steamy on the inside. They had delicious sauce, hummus, and the perfect amount of veggies. This was great. I went after the lunch rush, and the service was very quick. The staff were all very kind. The garage is always amazing. Lots of room to sit, tons of other options for food if you are with a group, etc. Definitely try this place. The falafel was great. I will be back to try other menu items. read more

Mama Fofo's is ALWAYS top tier They have the best hummus I have ever tried. I have gotten the hummus dip appetizer so much that it's borderline addiction lol. I got their gyro and fries last time and the fries were super crispy, but soft inside, and were coated with a Greek seasoning that was super aromatic. The gyro meat was great but it had a bit too much tzatziki for my liking - to the point where it kind of overpowered everything else and made the gyro hard to eat due to the mess. read more

Be sure to get a receipt. The loaded fries were good, but I swore I bought baklava and when I went to pick up she told me I didn't. No lines on a Sat night was questionable, since every other place usually had a line. They did make fresh to order. But from the other reviews seems my 14.95 fries turned into 19.44 total. We were snacking before a later dinner planned down on Mass Ave. We chose the Greek fries with gyro meat and were easily swayed into also getting the baklava cheesecake. For some reason, every time I go to the Garage Food Hall. Mama Fofos tends to be the one and only place I will go to. Does not matter if I have been 3 times already, I will still choose this place. Their food always satisfies my stomach and I do not feel gross eating it. My typical order is the Falafel Wrap which honestly is more food than I am capable of eating at most meals so for $10.95 you get your money's worth! Great flavor in the falafels and tatziki sauce, and hard to mess up a pita with hummus base - a wonderful choice for vegetarians!! One tip - get lots of napkins and forks because they load it up with toppings - nothing wrong with that! Last time I went, I thought I would finally try the Greek style fries because I love the seasonings usually. Honestly, this place did not have my favorite Greek style fries because my fries were kind soft/soggy but the flavors were there. I did have a nice service. However the spanakopita that I had was the WORST spanakopita I've ever had...not just in Indy...but anywhere. It was tasteless. All I could taste was the oil in which it was fried. Yes, Fried! I make this myself and have eaten it at so many other restaurants, Greek festivals and in Greece. In all cases it was baked. This appeared to have been baked and then deep fried. Grease was dripping off of it. Yes, I picked up a pieces and oil dripped all over the table and my hand and was running down my wrist. I also liked the taziki sauce. It wasn't overly cucumber-y which I liked. The pita was warm and delicious. It was incredibly hard to eat because it was overflowing.
