So I just ordered a Chicken Shawarma wrap, a Mixed Shawarma Platter (which is not on the menu), 4 grape leaves, 2 Kibbeh and 2 lady fingers and holy!!!... All of this was for $27.00 I would have end up paying close to $50 for all of this in Rice House of Kabob and the food is a thousand times better. The food is 5 stars, but is not a restaurant, i don't think I would like to eat in there on a Saturday night since it has about 4 tables and not fancy at all, it's more for pick up food or a quick lunch. They have a grocery as well where you can get any middle eastern goodies you need. Don't let the outside fool you people, you need to try Al Basha for an authentic Greek experience and definitely don't forgery about those walnut and pistachios Lady fingers. read more

I always loved a good Gyros, But this is not the place. I see they had other good ratings with the other food. I was disappointed with the Gyros. I travel all over the place looking for a good Gyro's it was small the Tzatziki sauce didn't have any flavor. They should go to some of the other Greek restaurants and try theirs to compare. read more

This place is amazing! It's a middle eastern family owned market/lunch spot. Everything is delicious, homemade and healthy! My go to meal is the Kibbe platter with hummus, tabouleh and a side of their rice with ground beef and almonds. My husband always gets the gyro platter and that is super tasty too! We came in for takeout on a random Thursday evening and I'm not sure if the time of day affected the quality of the food since most other Yelpers have noted this is an excellent lunch spot, but the food was just meh. I felt like the gyro meat was a bit old. The other ingredients were for the most part fresh such as the tzatziki, hummus and veggies, but I was disappointed they don't have the spicy harissa sauce as a topping option. I like a little kick with my gyro! I also tried a spanakopita triangle and was unimpressed. It was dry - again this might have something to do with the time of day we were there... Also, not a huge fan of the grape leaves (again - DRY! Needed lemon juice stat) but they are meat filled and I usually like plain rice dolmades - however, they do keep a stock of grape leaves in their market which is wonderful knowing so I can find them easily when I have a craving to make them! I've been back since to pick up some fresh grocery items since they have a small market as well, so I'll update my review once I've tried them! I live nearby and this place never disappoints. The best kibbe and falafel around, They have daily specials all the time like stuffed eggplant, stuffed cabbage and lentil rice. Friendly little place with delicious food! The falafel wraps were awesome and the salads (Greek and Arabian Shepherd) were so fresh and flavorful! The gyro was a hit as well. The Moroccan Tea (hot with mint) was a special treat. The prices were very reasonable especially given the personal attention with which each dish was prepared. I was starving, in the area, and really craving a gyro so after looking up some places I placed an order for pickup. When I picked up my order the man that attended to me (I think the owners' son) and I struck up some conversation and was very nice. I got my gyro and a small hummus and went on my way. The gyro was smaller than I would've liked but this could be cause I was extra hungry that day, and then the hummus quickly filled me up. The gyro wasn't the best I've had but it was still pretty good. The hummus was really delicious, I brought the rest of it home and my 4 year old niece loved it. I searched for several days for a good authentic Greek/ Mediterranean deli or restaurant i could order from. i had been at Al Basha several years ago and pass by the place every so often. the comments left on Facebook were very encouraging so i decided to give them a chance. when i asked the gentleman about the items i wanted, he was very courteous and helpful. Initially i had told him if he could deliver everything by 6:15 on Saturday. I also ordered a tray of assorted Baklava. he showed me a ready made tray and i specifically asked if they made it and i wanted them fresh. He said yes to both. Went back on Wed. and paid for the order. i asked the lady if the could please deliver the food by 6 pm. i even wrote it in the back along with my address. i asked again about the Baklava and she asked me if i wanted to take it with me. Again, i told them that i wanted them fresh. On Sat. the food was delivered late ( 6:30) my guests were already waiting, and what i got was a $50 sealed box of assorted Baklava. they were NOT fresh and for $50 i was expecting fresh. while the rest of the food was good and my guests enjoyed it, i did not have a good experience. read more

This is a cute little place. It is in small parking lot and is hidden . I been going there at least once per week. Place have really good Turkish coffee and baklava. I liked there baba ganoosh a lot. I have also tried chicken shawarma and beef shawarma plate, both plates were good. I am not big fan of there pita bread. It is hard and tasteless, but rest of the food is pretty good. If you are around I will definitely give this place a try and prices are really good for quality of the food. read more

The falafel at most local Middle Eastern places is fresh and made-to-order, but if you order falafel here they will shamelessly heat up some stale, bland pre-made falafel in a microwave right in front of you. It's a shame because one of the joys of falafel is the crispy on the outside, tender on the inside texture you get when its freshly made. The lentil soup I ordered was also microwaved after they took it out of the back corner of a refrigerator, where it had been sitting for God knows how long. If I wanted microwavable food, I would've bought frozen falafel and stayed home. read more
