I called him back and it was a great conversation, I am grateful restaurant owners like this exist. Basha is an institution in Paterson, not only because their food is great, but because they truly care about their customers. One time they mistakenly gave the food to someone else accused me of stealing it. I was thinking they have cameras there. I waited for a long time, but they eventually gave me another order . That is not enough to give them two stars. I'm nervous little by little my meat platter is getting more expensive and the amount of meat in it is getting smaller. When I called them about it, they said they'll make it up to me, but I never got a call back. Falafels were crispy but lacked flavor also they had taste of baking soda which i disliked, other elements hummus, baba ganoush were okay, nothing too good. We ordered the Mezza, which was a generous amount of six or seven different appetizers and, likewise, a generous amount of their homemade pita bread. We brought half of the food home. I wish 0 stars was a thing. Extremely disappointed -- this place has gone downhill. I've ordered from here 3 separate times, and each time the meat has been undercooked or completely RAW. I understand kebabs are grilled, but no reputable Middle Eastern restaurant -- especially one that claims halal standards -- should be serving raw meat to customers. This is not just a quality issue, it's a serious health risk. Raw or undercooked meat can lead to foodborne illnesses, and it's shocking that this has been allowed to happen repeatedly. I've never seen a halal religious owned food place, serve such things like this. Horrible. Save your money. If you are craving food like this, close out of their horrible menu and head to Toros! You will not be disappointed nor will you eat raw meat. Honestly, I'm concerned this place is still operating. This review is for the sandwich/take away shop. Came to try some different sandwich (kofta, shish kebab and schwarma). Comes in pita or wrap. Overall quality really went down. Came with a few different meats... I believe a few different beef items, and a chicken dish. Everything was cooked well (fairly juicy) and the spices were really flavorful. Also came with rice and bread. Took advantage of the free hummus with yelp check in too. This also was delicious... really creamy. The restaurant, the food, the staff and especially the General Manager Wassim Henawi is a Class Act. We are always greeted kindly with respect and professionalism. I believe that he is by far the hardest working person on the floor. I say it to him all the time. Because Wassim is a great manager; he has the ability to get along with the entire staff as we have taken notice.
