I arrived early to my appointment and was helped right away by Jonathan C (from my receipt) that after I explained my situation, inspected by flat, the space saver tire and showed me my options for replacing my tires. We chose the new tires, the time estimate was 1 hour and to come back at 12:30 and we went for lunch and the car was ready early and I needed new wipers and they called and asked if I would like them replaced and they did this for me. I asked if I need an appointment and was told no, they are taking walk ins. I said ok I will come in the afternoon. I arrived at 2:30 and was told that they were busy. I checked in and said that I would come back by 4 PM. I returned before 4 pm and my car was not done until nearly 6 pm. I am sure I was pushed back on the schedule several times. Terrible service. Over the years, I have used auto aces multiple times for multiple cars. I needed a repair done, and called over a week in advance and spoke with Cheyenne. She said that my vehicle would be done for sure in one day so we made an appointment for the following week. So, I dropped my car off the night before to have to looked at right in the morning. I got a call at 8am that they looked at my car, and this is what it needed and would be done later in the day. I called back at 5:15pm, and the guy that answered the phone told me it wasn't ready yet. I asked him when he thought it would be ready, and he instantly got an attitude with me. I don't think my question was unreasonable nor did it get angry that it wasn't ready. He starts rattling off everything they did, and what they still needed to do. I'm not unintelligent when it comes to car repairs, and I know what they needed to do should have taken 4 hours tops. Why they had my car all day and then get mad when I ask a question was really weird. He then told me my car would be ready in the morning- even though I was told twice it would be done the same day, whatever I had the next day off anyway. Later in the evening Cheyenne calls me to tell me that my car is ready. So we went to pick it up, and at least it came in under budget. I always find her very pleasant and knowledgeable to work with. The guy however, was a world class asshole. Based upon that interaction alone, I won't bring my own car here anymore, but others in my household probably will. When you are shelling out a few grand for a repair, you kind of expect to at least get a phone call if they are running behind in the repair time. And they damn well better be nice when you call for an update!

They were installing the wrong tire and not the tires I asked for as shown on the invoice. The tires I chose were on the bottom, and the tires they chose were on the top. Already through 3 tires at that time. No discount offered for the inconvenience, nothing. ***So adding to this: at the end when I'm settling my bill, I ask them if they saw anything on the alignment check. He said, "We didn't do one, that's extra" to which I replied that on the website, the alignment check is free (see additional picture). He stated, "well it should have asked you to check a box when you set up your order". So we didn't a mock order on my phone; same tires, no checkbox. "Huh, that must be new...". How long if I wanted to do it now? "Half hour...". Never again.

I had a 5+ hour drive home that same day and specifically requested that the wheels be balanced and the one bad tire be replaced. Initially, they declined to do what I requested. After speaking with my dad over the phone, they agreed to replace a tire. However, once I got home and we removed all four wheels, we discovered that the tire they replaced was not the tire that actually had the issue. They had also added a significant amount of wheel weights to the problematic wheel without explaining this to me. All four of my Michelin tires had been balanced within the past year and previously only had a small amount of weight on each wheel, so seeing that many weights added to a single wheel was concerning and appeared to indicate an issue with that tire. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication. The staff appeared to focus on some existing cosmetic damage to one of the rims and suggested that may have been the cause of the vibration. They also informed me that the problem would not be fully resolved, which left me wondering why the actual source of the vibration was not addressed. The steering wheel shake disappeared for roughly 350 miles after I left, then returned. I understand they were likely trying to help me get home safely, but I left feeling that my concerns were dismissed and that the root cause of the problem was never properly addressed. For an emergency situation where I was relying on their expertise, the communication and diagnosis were disappointing. I do want to add that the staff were very friendly, professional, and quick to help. Given that I was dealing with an unexpected issue while traveling, I appreciated that they got my vehicle into the shop right away and worked to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. My disappointment is not with how I was treated personally, but with the communication and the fact that the underlying issue was not properly identified or resolved.

I watched my tire pressure all the way back to Virginia and was pleasantly surprised when I maintained pressure the entire way without incident.

My battery light came on and stayed on. I googled it and found out that it could be the alternator…read more So I took it to Matthew's Tire on Oneida Street. They said they would run an electrical systems check on it and let me know the results by the end of the day. *** they didn't tell me this would cost $59.95. *** I didn't hear back from them until the next morning. They recommended a new alternator, and oil change, and oil system flush, new tires, new spark plugs, fuel injection service, engine coolant (I just had the radiator replaced 3 days earlier), cooling system flush, brake flush service, and a two-part cooling injection kit. The quote that they gave me kind of set me back on my heels. Almost $900 for the alternator and what I thought was just the oil change. When I commented about the price, suddenly John magically came up with an alternator that was $100 less. I told him to go ahead with the alternator in the oil change. They took it upon themselves to do the oil system flush also. That cost me another $80 for parts and labor. That's shady. I'll never go back there.
