My experience was great here. I was in town for a marathon and needed something somewhat clean but good taste and good portions. First, the place is small and not the best for large parties or really eating in, but dine in is available. All of your food will come in to go style( packaged and bagged) the menu. I decided to stop in because not to many places offer smoked turkey tips! The turkey tips were amazing. Full of flavor NO SAUCE NEEDED as a bbq spot should be. I also had the smoked salmon, which was ok. The sides I had were the greens cabbage mixed, which were tender and seasoned. With such a good experience for my tastebuds, I had an even better experience having a life conversation with the owner. Just hearing his background and getting his views on life made me a fan of his brand as a whole. Whenever I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop in for good food and vibes.

Order from Alaba Que after trying different bbq places. Had high expectations but I wasn't to impressed. We ordered turkey tips, pulled chicken, and a side of green beans. Pulled chicken wasn't soft and yummy, it was dry and lacked flavor. The turkey tips were well seasoned though. The greens were decent but not the best. Portions were smaller than expected but the main thing for me was the pulled chicken. Not sure if I would give it another shot.

Was in town for the Cincinnati Music Fest. The Food is absolutely delicious! Was a little skeptical because of the mixed reviews but let me tell you, the food and service were on point! Delicious! The best potato salad besides mine!

Hands down the best place on Short Vine. If you're craving some authentic BBQ, Alabama Que is the place to go. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the best staff. The owner, The Boss, The Man, Dwan is the nicest person ever. The menu is packed with classic BBQ favorites! The secret menu item, purple rain, crafted by Panda is quite tasty. I highly recommend this place!

Recommended. This is a must-visit near UC campus for several reasons. First, the turkey tips were terrific. If you're like me, you probably go to a BBQ place to order brisket or pork. They've got it and I imagine it's good. But I hadn't had turkey tips, the healthier option, before. When I met the owner, he recommended them as a top seller. I see why. And the sauce has heat options; I found the MEDIUM sauce had the right heat for me. The Mac&Cheese was great, too. The icing on the cake was talking with the owner and staff; thoughtful people that I liked doing business with. I felt respected -- and full of delicious BBQ. I'll be back.

We walked down here from a local hotel. The area isn't the nicest, but no troubles. When we stepped into the place, the first thing that jumped out is that it isn't really a sit-down type restaurant. There is a bar area where you can eat in if you want - maybe 10 seats - but it seems that most of the business is take out. There is a patio outside where maybe there is more seating in better weather, but we were there in the winter. While waiting to order, a nice local customer came in behind us and started giving my group of seven food recommendations. Foodies know that listening to locals is usually a plan for success, so we did. This lady said to try the sides especially the string beans (tender, leaning towards mush and with a lot of tomato flavor and a little heat) and mac n' cheese. We pushed a little more and she said to try the soul roll and that was a real gem of a recommendation. You get an order of two large fried items that resemble a spring roll on the outside, but they are huge. One and a side was plenty for me and then I got to eat the other as a leftovers meal. They offer turkey and vegetarian options and everyone in my party got the turkey. It was absolutely delicious. The filling is a combination of smoked turkey, greens (mixed collards and cabbage), mac n' cheese and maybe a few other things I didn't recognize. It is a completely unique meal and one I would come back for without question. They offer a number of different sauces. I got the original and also tried my friend's whiskey bourbon. Of the two, the whiskey bourbon was the definite standout. My original was just ok. Not bad, but not memorable in any way. There are lots of other choices and I might try the spicy instead if I have the opportunity to go back. Notably, this is a place that claims Alabama as its roots, but I don't recall a white sauce as an option. The owner was onsite and he held court while we were waiting for our meals. He is ex-navy and ex-firefighter and now owns a food truck and several locations for his restaurant. Talking to him was a great experience and I encourage you to engage him if possible.

It's a lot of food for not a lot of money. Turkey tips are their specialty but the side items are also really great.

Loved the service but did not love the turkey tips. I also had the brisket but it just wasn't up to snuff. Would not go back for more.

My aunt and I booked a class for the 2 of us. Upon arrival we were welcomed to sit and have snacks as well as a drink. The cooking class came with 2 drinks. They had fantastic non-alcoholic options. Mocktails that weren't an afterthought. It was fantastic! Our instructor took the time to explain how everything would work and then we were told to find our pre-assigned stations. At our stations, a lot of the prep work and measuring of ingredients was already done for us. This taught me a lot about prep work and successful cooking. I am not a very good cook and between my aunt and myself, we stayed at pace with the instructor. Absolutely friendly for beginners or those without cooking talent. When we finished cooking, we sat down back at our seats to enjoy the food we had prepared. I couldn't believe that I cooked what I was eating! We were sent home with their in house cookies and the recipes to what we cooked. Not only were the food choices delicious and awesome but the experience was so much fun! I highly recommend.

They sent plenty of staff, guests in particular noted how nice it was that we had 4 bartenders and there was never a long line at the bar. They can provide everything and are flexible to do a plated sit down dinner with real everything (plates, cutlery, stemware) or a giant pig roast with disposable everything so they can fit into any budget. My daughter told me that DelightMore was very easy to work with before the event. We had the wedding on Friday evening 9/29/2024 at Ault Park during the height of hurricane Helene. Before the wedding could start, we moved to plan D and moved the guest tables to the two side rooms in the pavilion because the wind and rain was drenching the normal seating area in the center area. Also, we were in candlelight because the power was knocked out due to the storm. DelightMore made the best of it and more. They adapted their plan to make it all work in spite of the challenge. Karen and Jarad were on-site working to make it all work. They changed staff responsibilities because some of their staff was unable to make it to the park due to the storm. Jarad came to talk to me before the meal was served to tell me their plan of serving one room at a time and that our room's meal would be delayed but they would do the best they could. We then got our bread and salads within a few minutes of us sitting down. The main course may have been delayed a few minutes longer than they hoped for us, but it wasn't very delayed. The meal was still delicious and freshly made on site using generators they brought to the event. The staff was kind and worked through all of the changes and the tightly packed room setting. Jarad followed up after the meal was served to make sure everything worked out ok. DelightMore exceeded my expectations by their execution and concern for the customer. I can't thank DelightMore enough and would recommend them to anyone planning an event, especially during a natural disaster.

Solid lunch spot!! Decent flavor, and a few minor suggestions…read more I ordered the Classic Box Lunch - Turkey Bacon Jack, which comes with oven-roasted turkey breast, bacon, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers, lettuce, and chipotle mayo on honey wheat bread. I swapped the bread for sourdough, but it didn't have much of that signature sourdough tang. My sandwich was also cut from the end of the loaf, so the tapering meant I got a bit less bread. Flavor-wise, the chipotle mayo carried the sandwich. The bacon was of the pre-cooked, ready-to-eat variety--like what you'd find from Oscar Mayer or Kirkland. Not bad, but a little underwhelming since I was expecting freshly cooked based on a coworker's hype. The bacon was also clumped in the center, which was surprising considering the care they put into packaging. Would've been better evenly distributed for balanced bites. Packaging was excellent. Everything comes beautifully packed and cleanly presented--puts places like Subway to shame. Toppings come a la carte, so you can build the flavor profile to your liking. Even came with utensils, which you don't always get for other places. Making you have to walk back in to get them. The box also included: Carrot slices - Fresh and sweet, a nice surprise. Ranch dip - A bit green in color (maybe herbs?), but didn't taste off. Chocolate chip cookie - Soft, not dry, and packed with big chunks of chocolate. Very good. For $11.99, I felt the value was decent, especially with the sides and thoughtful packaging (heavy-duty box and thick plastic bags for the carrots and pickle so they don't spill). Just be aware that extras will cost extra--those add-ons can creep up if you're not paying attention. Ordering online was easy, and they offer a rewards program for repeat customers. The shop itself has a nice atmosphere--clean, welcoming, and good for a quick lunch. Just remember to bring your own drink, as beverages aren't included. Bottom line: A great place for a well-packaged, satisfying lunch. With a few tweaks to ingredient prep, it could easily be a 5-star spot.
