November 4th 2025. We are here again to see the Alabamas Christmas Show! We always enjoy all the talented performers in the show.

    The show cast.

This was great entertainment. The whole cast was amazing and the Christmas theme excellent. The stage was decorated for the season. I loved the show and highly recommend.

Fun for older adults but our teenagers were a bit bored unfortunately. We as the parents enjoyed it however!

Paid 3 times as much as face value, the scalper company gets four times as much as the artist

The acoustics of this place are incredibly good. The architect must've really given a good thought about this. I have been to other renown theaters that don't match this Enjoyed thoroughly a musical that I won't mention the name to remain neutral because this review is about the theater and not the artist. Table wines in the lobby for 5 bucks and ushers do their job beautifully My two quibbles are one, the parking lot with rows in all directions that made getting out like 4:30 in Manhattan, complete gridlock thanks to the design, obviously not the same architect but a Horry County clerk. And I paid 149 per seat! and when I got to the "will call window" they gave me a ticket that reads 54.95 per person. How is that they allow to have a middle man earn twice as much as the theater and it is not Ticketmaster either but another scalper. The artist gets a fraction because nothing is regulated. Shame on you Ala Bama! you would've gotten 5 stars but the scalping thing turned me off Will make the trip anytime to buy the tickets in site not through a scalper

Tonight we saw the the show titled "One." Lots of technical issues . Let's start with the audio issues . The sound system could use an update . The quality of the audio does not serve the singers well - just makes the audio quality seem dated . Also, the microphones kept cutting out while the performers were mid song. It was super distracting and I was surprised that such a long running show was having this issue . Additionally , at some points there would be weird echoing feedback from the microphone . I didn't like the fact that there seemed to be limited live instruments . The music seemed to be prerecorded tracks with a few musicians on stage possibly playing instruments . It's not a huge deal but it was super noticeable and impacted the audience experience. For example , the music would get unexpectedly loud and you couldn't hear the actual singer until it was adjusted down some . Also, the audio track voices would often be louder than the live performer drowning them out and the track voices often just didn't blend well with the live singer . I also didn't like some of the lip syncing (there wasn't a lot but it was just noticeable at some points ) The lighting was weird at times . Sometimes the spotlight would be taken off the emcee before they were finished introducing the next performer . Onto the actual performance : The costumes and clothing choices for some of the performers were simply not flattering for their body types . Overall , some of the performances were super cringey . Many of the performers just didn't seem comfortable and their on stage personas seemed unnaturally forced . Not trying to critical, but some of the vocals seemed very karaoke style . The best vocal talent on the stage was Rodney Williams . Everything about him oozed confidence , swagger and talent . Hang on to him, Alabama Theater . Slim Chance was entertaining . You can tell he is an experienced performer . He kept the audience entertained with his juggling, puppeteering and general banter . He was natural and fun ! Didn't like that his second set was basically a sales pitch for some of the singers' CDs ! It really took away from the experience . There are other ways the venue could promote sales . Some other positives: The phone ticket purchase process was easy and the guy was super friendly when purchasing tix over the phone . The ushers were very friendly . Overall , while the performance was enjoyable and we appreciated the efforts of the talent we likely won't return anytime soon due to the reasons outlined above .

Fun show, good actors, entertaining. Even during the week good attendance. They for sure can compete with broadway.

Went here for the first time on Sunday May 3rd 2026 with my parents and couple of friends. We were…read morethere to see the Killer Queen Show. First off, very beautiful venue, easy to find the seats and where the seats are located. Outside looks like an old time opera house, they do have stairs though. Inside they have a little gift shop and food stand. While entering the smell of popcorn fills the hall. Ticket attendents got the line moving and was pleasant. Got inside and the seats were comfy. As for the show, itself Killer Queen, didn't really like it as much, and for starters the band didn't open with a familiar song like Bohemian Rhaspsody. In my opinion a good show starts with 1 or 2 familar songs, then in the middle have a few new hits that may be unheard of, then close with another 2 popular songs. to add from Queen I only know of songs like Bohemian Rhaspsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions- now while those were played-- waited until the very end to hear them. Also the band had to pull everyone out of their seats multiple times- and I mean if one plays a popular song, we will automatically get up and dance! Also to add, background- I remember in the Queen Movie they showed how to do the dance of both We Will Rock You, and Radio Ga Ga- show it in the background so that the audience can do it! or have a band member do it! Will admit for me, I'm more than likely to spend my money on a show based on a band that I know- like Taylor Swift, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, to name a few! Would be cool to have shows like that at this theatre! Anyways, despite this experience, we may be back for another show!

Seats…read morelook brand new, are plush, lean back, with arm rest drink holders, and plenty of knee room so other patrons can easily pass. This smaller, 300 seat theater and wide stage allow every seat to feel close to the performers, especially when the performer walks out onto the wide stage steps. The left and right video screens allow close-up views of each performer. Restrooms are clearly modernized and roomy. I did not try the refreshment stand. Casey Kasem's American Top 40 Countdown Experience was an enjoyable "blast from the past." All the top hits were from my youth and brought back fond memories. The lead male singer was simply PHENOMENAL! He sang the majority of the 40 songs with his clear, smooth, yet strong voice, often sounding like the original iconic artist or even better! He is a Star. Overall, a wonderful group performance including the astonishing voice of Casey Kasem (by Howard Hudson, SC Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame member). - Mark VanValkenburg, The Bluffs on the Waterway.

Updating my review because we saw another show here on Sunday June 28th 2026. I knew about this…read moreshow because they posted it on facebook, and wanted to go because it was called Feeling 22: A Tribute to Taylor Swift. So it happens to be that I was off that day, and figured why not go? After all- tickets were only 48.00, max 58.00. Anyways So went here on Sunday June 28 2026 to see Feeling 22: A Tribute to Taylor Swift. brought our tickets online, and picked them up at will call. Pleasant people all around. Saw both elderly people and people my age who were dancing and singing all the Taylor Swift songs! Loved the band and loved the show, as I was singing along, after every word. There were parts where I couldn't understand, but that happens sometimes, even with other artists. Amber and her band Feeling 22 did amazing! Would totally be back if there was another show with her! Keep more like this coming- i'd love a boy band tribute show, Taylor Swift, 90's show, and Jonas Brothers, and more!
