My family has been going to Legends in Concert for yeeaaaars (among the other theater shows in…read moreMyrtle Beach). Legends has always been one of our favorites because it's consistently one of the better shows to enjoy in the area. Some type of an Elvis impersonator and Blues Brother act is ALWAYS present in any Legends lineup...and the lineup you see really does matter. This is why sometimes a Legends lineup is EPIC, while sometimes it's just "meh." That's the risk you run with Legends. On this most recent visit (my first since their relocation to their current location) we had a really strong lineup that included the Blues Brother, Alan Jackson, Steve Perry, Michael Jackson, and a 68 special leather suit Elvis . I will say, this was the first time I realized that the musicians aren't actually playing live music but merely pantomiming to a recorded track...it became very entertaining after realizing that to watch how some of them really got into their role. The best example of this was Mario on the keyboards. That man was fake playing that keyboard like his life depended on it and like he was having the best day of life...he was honestly more entertaining than some of the lead entertainers...whatever Legends is paying him they need to give him a raise! If you're in Myrtle Beach and looking for a fun way to pass the evening Legends is usually a safe bet!

We had a wonderful time last night at the Polynesian Lua Dinner Show. First the people who are…read morepart of this show handled pretty much everything from greeting you, seating you and doing the show. Before they seat you they take a picture of your party which you can purchase at the end of the show. I will start with the buffet they offered a pineapple chicken dish thats was a spicy but not where you needed to drink milk . It was really delicious. I also had the white rice which they seasoned and I enjoyed that too. They also offered a Tilapia Dish and pulled pork dish. My husband had that and he enjoyed it too. There was also curly fries and a salad offering too. The desserts where ok - they were individual cakes slices a few varieties that they offered up in pretty round holders, they were definitely store bought. They were good but not exceptional. The Buffet is all you can eat. They offer Iced Tea and Water with buffet. All other drinks you have to pay for. The Show itself was Amazing. Watching how they interacted with each other was really enjoyable. You could feel the camaraderie among them. The Dancers were Amazing and Graceful. Wish I could move like that. I definitely would recommend if your on Vacation or Live here its a experience you shouldn't miss. I have posted some pictures for you to view.

Here's another one from my few months ago visit to Myrtle Beach, SC. So for the longest time, my…read morefolks had wanted to bring me to the Polynesian Fire show at one of the nearby hotels and to be honest I don't think that they had ever done this themselves in the years that they had been there. My folks are not the photo takers that I am so if they did this and I didn't recall the mention, there is no photo evidence to the matter so here we go. Presented at the St. John's Inn, the event takes over what appeared to be the entire inside event space. Once the line moved the crowd inside we were greeted by staff in traditional garb and handed leis. Another person played a ukelele to welcome everyone and it set the mood. Inside were all the tables, the stage of course and a small gift shop with items that had an island flare along with a pay per drink bar. The food was set up as a buffet and there was some pork, a fish dish, chicken along with a couple of vegetables and some rice. Some have balked about this being all that was set up to eat but I was actually okay with it. I admit that I thought there would be more along the lines of seafood but I am fussy about that stuff for the most part. The emcee/host was also a part of the musical group that performed a few radio hits with an island flair and I got a kick out of this and then it was time for all of the island presentations. It's difficult to describe it all but there was lots of hula being done by lovely dancers, along with a menacing Haka dance. Then a pause in the night happened while a protective netting was set up between the stage and the patrons and this was done to prevent any accidents with the batons and assorted other items that were used during the fire performance. This was a super exciting part of the night and I give credit the performers for their skills and amazing display. My high rating was mainly because I had a really fun time and had never been to anything like this before in my life. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach and can secure a spot at this show its a worthwhile event. I was able to be sitting closer to the stage which made it all the more thrilling. Thanks for reading.
