Diagnosis is supposed to be free but I was asked to pay $75. The diagnosis was that my heater needs $1,500 to be fixed or $9,500 to be replaced, but I called another technician and he fixed it with $150 while saying that whoever the previous technician was fooled around with my heater (took a fuse off and unplugged a cable). Do not use for bathroom renovation. Their service and lack of knowledge on how to tile or change equipment is the same as jobbers up on the street. Had a bathroom renovation done with them only to have massive headaches and totally unprofessional finishes done to the job. First thing is Mike said that it would take 5 business days. It took them 11 business days. The workers kept on complaining that Mike does not buy them the material and that's why the delay. Secondly - workers do not know how to LAY TILES - and Mike had the audacity to say that because my studs were not lined properly - the tiles had to be crooked - Only return calls when he needs money - Pictures attached will show his professional finish - Only not to mention that we had to stop the work because he does not remember the things he promised he installed. had my kitchen sink and bathroom sink back up. Had them come out and they quoted me 250$ to try to snake the drain with no guarantee that it would work . I asked the young tech how long it would take and he said about 1/2 hour. so that is 500$ per hour!!!!!!! I cut the old cast iron pipes out and put new p.v.c ones in my self for 150$ and will never have a problem again! at a 150$ to try i could go with that but 250? no way. This company was great to deal with from start to finish. Everyone is really nice over the phone. Mike was very responsive. We spoke twice before they sent their two guys to come out and do the work. They had all of the correct paperwork and licensing that my building needed. They came at the end of the day on a Friday for me because that was the only time that fit my schedule. The tech was on time and finished all of the repairs and installs that I needed in under an hour. They were cautious with Covid and wore a mask the whole time. Called this company to check on a furnace issue. The dispatcher was very nice and professional, that's about it. The tech showed up - NO MASK! I told him, where's your mask? He's said, I don't believe in that crap. First warning sign. He looked at my furnace and said the repair would be $1500 for a new automatic water feeder. Total crooks!!! These thieves took advantage of a situation that my parents needed a sewage line replaced and caused more financial damage than they fixed. They were happy to take their money but never refilled the dirt that was removed to do the job and now the concrete steps leading up to the porch have separated from the house. How much this will cost to fix, who knows. As someone who works in a customer satisfaction based business it pains me to see hard working people taken advantage of. They made a number of promises but didn't deliver. They always have an excuse, but never a good one! When we pointed out issues, they argued and told us it would be fine. But it wasn't! When the guy finally showed he didn't have the basic part needed. Incredibly, he left the job to go to the "supply house." I would pick no stars if I could. I had them come over to inspect a very slow leak coming from a sharkbite fitting. The assessment was that it needed replacement. Their plumber quoted me $450. After speaking with a plumber at Lowe's and my uncle who's a contractor they determined I could simply by the replacement piece and a sharkbite tool to remove the old fitting. In total it cost me $22 and my wife and I swapped it out in 10 minutes. Plus the plumber's customer service was terrible. read more

Honestly if I could give this company less than one star I would. I run a small spa in Hillsdale, NJ and my landlord saw my steam shower generator had a leak and told me to fix it ASAP. Found these guys after a google search "24/7 emergency service" drew me in so I called at noon 6/5/2015. The girl who answered was nice enough, told her my problem and she said she would send someone out by 3-4pm to take a look and that the estimate would be free. I thought that was reasonable so I hung up and I waited. at about 5:30pm I called again wondering where the heck the guy was. The receptionist asked me "oh he still hasn't made it??" No idea who was assigned to me or where any of their "technicians" were said she would call me back when she got some answers. She never did. At 6-6:30pm or so I called again explaining that I had waited ALL day for someone anyone to come look at my steam shower generator, I gave her the model and the year installed again and she said she was sending someone right away. The guy finally got to the spa at close to 8pm and was in a huge rush to get in and look. I took him back to the area and he starts looking around, "yeah yeah big leak lots of water" tinkering, tinkering and took a ton of pictures. He comes out like he has a determined look on his face and goes "YEAH I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS MACHINE IS OR HOW TO FIX IT. CALL IN THE MORNING FOR SOMEONE ELSE!" I nearly broke out into tears and he says "oh is this stressful for you or something?" YES!!! I'M INCREDIBLY STRESSED OUT!!! One last chance I called that moment and yelled at the receptionist how can they send someone who had no knowledge of what I needed done especially since I waited hours upon hours for someone to come at all! she profusely apologized again, said she was gonna have someone first thing in the morning at 9 am sharp, she was going to leave a note for the morning receptionist as well as the manager about the situation. It is now 1:36 pm 6/6/2015 and no one ever came. I found another company called Aladdin at 12:30pm to cancel my 9am appointment, and the other company asked some questions had me send pictures gave me a free consultation and is sending someone within the hour to fix the problem. Terrible customer SVC. Called them late evening for sudden hot water leak. They stated they have field tech that could come investigate and would call within 1.5hrs. That time frame came and went. Waited another 20mins past there to give them benefit of the doubt - still no call. Contacted main 24hr ph# - it diverted to different number with ability to leave message. I left clear message that I was following up on SVC call. Waited 15mins - no call back. Contacted them again - still got voicemail. Left another message. In meantime, I did already start making arrangements as backup with the other company admitting they probably would not be able to make it out sooner than Aladdin claimed they could. UGHH....forget continuing with this review as there's plenty of other consistent horrible reviews to drive the message home -- DO NOT USE THEM. Horrible horrible company. I called them with an issue with a kitchen sink not draining. I told them it's an emergency and most likely the drain will need to be snaked. I talked to a lady who was friendly and she said it's 65.00 just to come out and the technician will give me an estimate when he finds the problem. Well he tells me he had to snake the drain and it would be 185. I said yes no problem just fix it. He snaked it 3 times, it still didn't work. I asked him to get a longer snake. He said he didn't have a longer one. So I asked him what I should do. His answer was for me to rent a longer snake from home depot and fix it myself or just rip the sheetrock and tile and replace the pipe. I told him that's ridiculous.. and that youal should have correct equipment to do the job you quoted me. He charged me 125 for nothing. Next day I call another plumber. He snaked it with a longer snake and fixed the clog for 200.00. I don't recommend Aladdin to fix anything at your house. There technicians are not professional at all. Very disappointed. read more

I had my washroom sink clog up 6pm on a Saturday night... The woman who answered the phone was courteous and assured me someone would be at my house within an hour. The gentleman showed up and quoted me $675 to unclog the main line in my house. This sounded outrageously expensive for a simple snake in the main line. I was able to negotiate the rate to $575 and I had him complete the work, which was done professionally and cleanly in under an hour. This in my opinion is price gouging for off hours service, I had someone call me back for service a day later and quoted me $300 + tax. I will never use this company again nor would I recommend using this company. I called 3 plumbers and this was the only one that answered, I was in a pinch and needed service right away.. We called them when our pilot light would not stay lit. Fast service within 20 minutes but guy wanted $850 to fix the furnace. We paid the service call fee, but that's all. My husband and I had just bought a house and in Nov the furnace wasn't coming on. We called and got an appointment for 5pm the guy didn't show up until 8pm. He told us that all the wires were rusted and that he would replace everything and service the furnace for 575$ after we looked at each other puzzled he said 525$. We had gone a couple days with no heat so we agreed. After spending 20mins in the basement he comes up and starts talking about the payment, when we asked him if he replaced the stuff he said he was going to he got defensive and said he fixed it and no one else will fix it, then when we asked if he "serviced" it he said he's going to do that now. He asked us for 1 single paper towel and Windex. We asked how do we know this isn't going to happen again and he's like don't worry it won't and then he gave us 1yr warranty. Of course like a week later same issue. he comes open the furnace and it started working. He swore to us that he didn't touch anything and it worked, we started overexplaining ourselves because he was making it seem like we made it up. Then on thanks giving same issue so we called early in the morning because we had guest and needed it to be fixed. Over the phone he directs my husband to click a switch behind the 2 little sensors, and it worked. So we realized that that's what he's been doing all along we paid 525$ just so he can click a switch. It was very annoying that the last time he came he tried to convince us that he "didn't touch anything" and it just worked. So then the new thing after that was that he's going to replace the sensors and he gives us a date and never shows up. That happens a couple more times and he had everything excuse in the book , he texted he's in the hospital, then the next day he said his wife had surgery, then he's waiting for the sensors to get delivered. We told him we wanted a refund and he agreed that he will give $125 back. So the day he finally comes to "replace the senors" we thought our heat would finally stop shotting off on us. then a couple days later it freaking happened again. When my husband went to inspect and try to do something so we don't freeze to death in our house we discover that the sensors were not replaced but he clipped that wires that was connected to them and added them to some other group of wires. The same thing to this day is happening and it's now January 2018. He ignores us when we ask for his managers number and it's like no used calling the other number because all you get is a receptionist who doesn't care to help you. It's very annoying that we paid so much money and still have a problem with our heat. We are just being played for fools time after time with this guy. read more

Stay away!!!! By far the worst service I have ever experienced. We called them in an emergency for a burst pipe. The service at that time was good, although they charged almost $1900 to fix the pipe as well as to fix the main shut off valve. The valve they replaced started leaking the following day. When we called them back to fix the leak, after scheduling a time to come they did not show up- not once, not twice, but three different days. I finally had to call every half of an hour to get someone to come and during those calls, I was told to be "patient." This is a terrible company and I would not recommend then to anyone. Expensive. Have you ever caught someone about to commit a crime and they just panic and run away? That's what you can expect from AladdinPlumbing.com. The top of their site advertised "$89 Drain Cleaning ... No extra charge for nights, weekends, and holidays!" (Not to mention a $25 off any service coupon.) I called them up, made a time for a plumber to come (great service so far). The guy comes in, I describe a "slow draining" kitchen drain. He takes a cursory glance at the pipes and says it will be $295, I say "that sounds a little high." He says, "if it's a straight clog, I can make it $275." I show him on the website where it says $89, and he says he's going to have to talk to his manager. He goes back out to the truck, I call the main number and I ask about the price quote on the website banner, the operator says she needs to put me on hold, comes back about 5 minutes later and says she needs to call her supervisor and she will call me "right back." I wait about 15 minutes (I notice the plumber has driven off from in front of my house during this time). I try to call their main line again and it goes to voicemail after 8 rings. I wait another 5 minutes and call again. Ring, ring... . Have some decency. Make up some excuse. But for the plumber to just drive away and the operator to not be able to answer the question "does your company honor the price posted on the website" is just absurd. read more

STAY AWAY! Issue was pilot light not staying lit on hot water heater. Knew a plumber was needed. Was expecting the fee for the service call to be applied to a repair cost. I am in Florida, tenant in NJ. I am handling this via my tenant's phone. Technician informed me entire hot water heater needed to be replaced for $1,300. When I questioned both the solution and the price, he asked ME how much was I expecting to pay? RED FLAG!! I said IF that was the problem, which I didn't believe it was, I had no idea, but probably not more than $1,000. He said "Okay, I'll fix it for $1,000 right now." Would not leave my tenant's unit until I paid him service call fee -- $187.25. The next day I paid $70 TOTAL for a new thermal coupling and cleaning of pilot assembly by another licensed plumber who is emailing me an invoice. Bank would not reverse Aladdin charges, informing me I should have called police rather than authorize payment had I felt strong-armed or coerced or fraud was involved. Called Aladdin to complain and have not heard back. Aladdin website says member of BBB and NJ licensed with glowing reviews. Cannot find them on BBB website. License number brings up nothing. I should have read Yelp reviews before making call. Now I see others have shared my same experience, as far back as 2013. How do they keep getting away with this scam? read more
