Long story short, the other restaurant dropped the ball and entirely neglected our $500 catering order, leaving my office without the lunch I'd already paid for. I called Aladdin's in Grandview and the manager, Dean, immediately started a catering order AND made arrangements for delivery- done and ready within 20 minutes. I would give the food a 5, the ambiance a 3 and the service an up-and-down 4. I've ordered takeout from Aladdin's before, but everything tasted better dining in. The baba gannouj and spicy cauliflower were terrific appetizers. The beef shawarma and chicken mishwi with their respective sides were really, really good. Judiciously pairing them with the lemon tahini, garlic, and spicy sauces on the side make the dishes special - especially the garlic sauce. Between our apps/mains and our desserts was a long service gap. It was to the point where I had to go to the front counter to see if someone could find our server. Perhaps she was on break, but we weren't made aware and no one covered her, so it was a little frustrating. To her credit, she was good when she wasn't AWOL, but this was a notable part of the experience. Once we got the desserts, the tiramisu was good but the baklava trailed it in both size and taste. But on my way out, their dessert case had a several cakes that tempted me to take some home. Maybe next time. read more

I ordered delivery from this location. My order consisted of the Hummus Falafel Roll, Dawali(grape leaves), and Pomegranate Green Tea. The roll was "okay" the falafel in it were on the dry side. The grape leaves were absolutely delicious; I could eat a few orders of these. For some reason, I was expecting the tea to be sweet, but it comes unsweetened. We love Aladdin's! They have the creamiest hummus around and simply cannot be beat with the hot sauce. We also got the Lebanese salata which I usually get topped with chicken. Aladdin's greatest achievement is their consistency. I have eaten at several locations, tried various things, had lunch and dinner - the food is always very fresh and full of flavor. The staff is really polite and friendly as well. They hire the nicest people! They are currently participating in Columbus Restaurant Week and doing a 3 course meal for $20. Great deal for lots of food. Aladdin's has even made me a cauliflower fan. The fried cauliflower is out of this world delicious. It tastes like a decadent treat, but you are just eating veggies. The chicken was cooked perfectly as usual and the hummus might be the best in Columbus IMO. The tiramisu was not as successful. It had no flavor of coffee at all and was way too sweet. Staff has always been very kind and attentive, especially as I've always come when very few people are dining in. Food wise, I haven't had a bad item on the menu. I love Aladdin's! It's my go-to Mediterranean spot in Columbus for casual lunches, cozy dinners, and fantastic, fresh eats. The service is always amazing as well. Some of my favorites include the V-Nine soup, Arya's Pitza and rolled, the Genie's combo, and of course their hummus, baba, and falafel. Aladdin's is relatively affordable too. Note that the primary parking is in the lot shared with lots of businesses along that stretch of Grandview Ave. however, there is plentiful street parking as well. Had a very good experience at Aladdin's eatery today in Grandview. I've been to Aladdin eatery before or at least have had it taken out but this experience was fantastic. We ate outside with our two dogs and the restaurant was very helpful as we were really trying to find somewhere to eat Fortunate for me it was restaurant week so I got to have three courses for a pretty good deal. I strongly recommend the falafel pitza. It is sooo good--tahini lemon dressing topped with falafel, banana peppers, diced tomatoes, and chopped parsley. MUST TRY! They also have so many other offerings in the pitza variety. The hummus is also very good. It is a creamy blend of chickpeas puréed with tahini and lemon juice drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Returning Visit view- After my last review I connected with Madeline from Aladdin's (and Sandra had responded to my previous yelp review). That was was above and beyond in terms of customer service so and I was super impressed. This visit - I decided to have a little date night and had a gift card and I was really excited to eat some delicious food. The only bad news of this return visit was unable to eat the main dish at the same time due to to one of the orders coming out wrong and my partner didn't want mine to get cold. The manger Jenny (sp?) did come by our table and apologized and said the dinner item was going to be removed from the bill and replace. For food, we had the Dawali (rolled grape leaves), and the Falafel, for appetizers. So much flavor and highly recommend them both. We also had some pita and the house hot sauce (to go with everything). For the main dish I ordered my favorite Spicy Kafta Rolled, and my partner ordered the Tuna Shawarma Rolled without tomato's. I have to add Shane, our server, was a absolutely great. Service slowed toward the end due the crowd but no complaints. It looked like two servers and Jenny. Shane felt bad about the mixup from the kitchen too. I made sure to leave a nice cash tip as he was slammed and was such a good server. There were between 20 - 25 guest here at anytime during the dinner, and I didn't bother to mention that I was back to redeem the last dining experience. Beyond the two empty paper towel dispensers, the order mess-up (those things happen), and the ability to finish our meal together I still would give them 4 out of 5. This is based on the friendliness, customer service, ambience, and the food was so Good! That's the main thing. I would absolutely recommend eating here and i can't stress enough how tasty the food is. All the food was quite flavorful and enjoyable. I ordered delivery of the flavor savor special which was the perfect combo. This included hummus, a side salad, one falafel, and chicken and beef, plus a side of pita bread. Both meats had a nice tender texture. I drive by at 1 million times during the week, I even mentioned it to my wife every once in a while, but I still end up forgetting about this place. A friend and I grabbed lunch here recently and while it's one of her favorite spots, it was my first time. We got a table right away, waters and menus as well. I had been craving greek food and this exactly what I wanted. They also have a ton of vegetarian options, which is always a plus in my book. We kicked things off with hummus and it was perfect. Creamy, flavorful, and beautiful. The pita it came with wasn't my favorite, but it did the trick. Next, I went with the rolled pita with hummus and falafel. I also added some tabouli, which was an excellent addition. When this thing came out I was shocked at how big it was. I could only finish half, but it was delicious. I took the other half home to enjoy later. I think my favorite part was the falafel. It was fried to perfection, bright green inside from the herbs and spices they use, definitely recommend. My friend and I both wrapped up our meal with a piece of baklava. I mean, I can't go to a mediterranean without ordering some. The honey filled flaky goodness is hard to beat. Go ahead, fulfill your sweet tooth, it's worth it. All in all, our service was good but could have been a little better. After we finished paying for our meals the service was non existent. The parking lot shares with a bunch of other businesses but I was lucky enough to find a spot right in front! When I walked in on a Thursday past 1pm, there were a few customers dining in. It was delicious and a good portion for lunch. My friend got Aladdin's Chicken Pitza, which had chicken, garlic sauce, green peppers, and scallions. Our server gave us some hot sauce which gave the pitzas a nice flavor! It wasn't overly spicy, but had a slight kick. Customer service was great! The guy kept our waters filled and was attentive. A vegetarian combo plate for about $13 includes 4 falafel, generous scoops of baba ghanouj and hummus, a bit of tabouli, yogurt tahini sauce and two grape-leaf-wrapped rice apps called dawali. A lamb Shawarma wrap (I call it a Gyro) for $8 arrived without any sides at all, really needs tzatziki sauce to make it interesting. My dining companion was a big fan of the mint tea. The hummus appetizer was not too overpowering with garlic or lemon. The falafel was nice and crispy, and the tabbouli was also fresh and flavorful. As for the restaurant itself, it was a pleasant experience. The staff was fast and friendly. Interior of restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were also very clean. It has a convenient parking lot which is kind of small but you can find s space when it's not busy. The takeout option is really fast if you're in a hurry. I eat at Aladdins fairly often and generally have a stellar experience. The last time we ordered carry out it was from the Clintonville location and sad to say, it was not up to snuff. My husband actually called and complained about it (it really was that bad) and we were sent a gift card to make up for the miss. I just finished devouring the meal I used the gift card on at the Grandview location and maybe it was just that I was starving, but it might have been the best meal yet. I usually get an assortment of favorites for my family and we all agreed that everything tasted extra fabulous tonight. But, the shining star is the FOOD!! I have been to Lebanon and I'm married to a Lebanese guy, so I know all these recipes and Alladins Eatery has hit a homerun!! My tastebuds were in heaven!
