We own a small multi-family building near Graham Ave in Williamsburg and finally decided to replace…read morethe roof after years of dealing with ponding water around the drains. Every heavy rain seemed to create a new issue somewhere in the building. We interviewed several roofing companies and ultimately chose NY Roofing because they seemed the most knowledgeable and realistic about the scope of work. What I liked was that they didn't just quote a replacement and move on. We received a detailed proposal, regular updates during construction, and photos showing the progress of the project. They explained why the water was collecting in certain areas and how they planned to improve the drainage at the same time. The crew showed up every day they said they would, worked efficiently, and kept the roof surprisingly organized throughout the project. The best part was there were no surprise charges once work started. The final number matched the proposal exactly. We've had a few major storms since the replacement and the roof is draining significantly better than before.

As the board of a 15-unit condominium in a 6-story building in Park Slope, Brooklyn, we had…read moreunfortunately gone through several negative experiences with management companies and contractors while trying to resolve persistent roof leaks with NYC rain and snow. After multiple failed repair attempts over the years, the board decided to take direct control of the process and conduct a thorough search for a qualified roofing contractor. After a rigorous interview process, we selected NY Roofing for a full roof replacement. From the beginning, their level of preparation and professionalism stood out. They mobilized an 18 person crew along with a knuckle boom crane to efficiently remove debris and transport materials to the roof, allowing the project to move quickly and safely. Our building has a complex roofing structure with a concrete slab deck, which required a more specialized assembly than a standard roofing system. NY Roofing installed a proper vapor barrier to address condensation issues that the original developer had failed to include, along with high R-value insulation to significantly improve the building's energy efficiency. The roof replacement was completed in 2017, and we are pleased to report that in the nine years since installation we have not experienced a single leak. As a board, we take vendor recommendations seriously because they affect every resident in the building, and NY Roofing proved to be a contractor we could confidently stand behind. For any condominium board or property owner looking for a reliable Park Slope or Brooklyn roofing contractor for a full roof replacement or waterproofing project, we would highly recommend NY Roofing.

After Royal Renovators performed a quite thorough inspection, it became clear that the issue wasn't limited to one area. The project ultimately included roofing repairs, flashing replacement, waterproofing around the parapet walls, and some exterior restoration work where years of weather exposure had taken a toll. What impressed me most was how methodical and easy the whole process felt. Sean and his crew were punctual, respectful of the property, and kept the site remarkably organized considering the amount of work being done. There were no surprise upcharges or pushiness, just great work at a great price. The house has been through the ringer with the weather, but can happily report no signs of moisture. It's a relief knowing the work was done correctly instead of simply covering up symptoms.

Their work was incompetent, costly, and unprofessional, and despite having our contact information the entire time, they never took responsibility until now. We eventually hired 2BQ Roofers, who found and fixed the issue on their first visit. It's been three years with zero leaks since. Meanwhile, Royal Renovators kept charging us without ever providing a real solution. This was a stressful, deceptive, and exhausting experience. I would not recommend this company

I saw Shawn Reynolds' workers in the neighborhood a few blocks away and he looked over the house. He returned with more of his staff to view what was needed. I needed old rotten gutters removed and restyled new gutters installed. The roof is high, steep, with a lot of angles. The roof was removed and replaced in 3 and a half days. The gutter work took a couple of weeks because it was detailed fabrication. All went as well as it could. A hurricane and big rainstorms were no problem. Highly recommend!!

I liked that the same person who gave the quote did the work because sometimes there's some misunderstanding from what was discussed with the sales guy and what the workers understand should be done. Ben's quote was very detailed which I appreciated and he was thorough in explaining the work to be done. Anytime we had questions or an issue that had to be discussed, Ben was always available even on weekends. The work took about two extra days than expected but we were fine with that as we didn't feel Ben was sacrificing quality to rush through the work like some contractors may do. Overall we are very happy with the work and would recommend Reynolds Restoration. I attached a before and after pic of our stairs. The carpet was not done though by Reynolds Restoration but everything else was.
