Caroline and the whole staff are absolutely amazing at what they do and I know my mom is in good hands with them. Giovanni is a professional who is experienced providing beauty services to elderly residents. They are happy to see him when he arrives. Giovanni is an in Independent Contractor so payments are due at the time of service by check. Services offered are shampooing, color, cuts, and styling, manicures, and more. Residents have told me how good it feels to have their hair done and love Giovanni. He cuts hair for Men and women. Call Giovanni and tell him what services you would like done. His prices are very reasonable too! I highly recommend Giovanni. He is someone that goes out of his way to make people happy. He is reliable, and staff as well as residents enjoy talking to him. Alameda is a horrible working environment. Do not bring your family here they mistreat the patients. I have seen the staff laughing at the patients when they fall and they are too busy being their phones and talking amongst themselves instead of doing their job duties, I have seen patients being left unattended to sit in their soiled diapers, Due to being short staffed some patients go without getting fed. I no longer work there... (I went to the administrator Barbara and I lost my job she doesn't care about anything or anyone but herself. The DSD Laurie my former supervisor is unfair and played favoritism towards other employees/ I feel like the working environment is unhealthy and unstable for patients to receive the proper care and treatment they require. Anyone looking for a job steer clear of this place and look elsewhere to work and bring your family. I want to leave 0 stars but sadly I need to leave one. read more

I urge others to not bring their loved ones here. The negligence and rude attitude we have received from management is unacceptable. My father stayed here for one month and received a blood infection( which is transmitted by unsanitary conditions). He had his 2nd stroke and unable to move and speak, he was left in the hallway for 5+ hours totally helpless and neglected. As if that wasn't enough, the staff put him in the same room as a Covid positive patient. Unfortunately my father's condition seriously deteriorated and was transferred to St Joseph and passed away. My Aunt spent over 4 months at Alameda starting July 2022 and I recommend the facility. Diagnosed with Alzheimers and psychosis, she was often disoriented and agitated. I had excellent interactions at every level including social services, finance, admissions, activity center and the nursing staff. Like so many skilled nursing facilities today, they are all overworked and understaffed, however they made every effort to meet my Aunt's needs with kindness, caring and professionalism. Always excellent communication with me. The staff recognized me warmly on every visit, knew my Aunt and could readily comment on her current care. When my Aunt was under an hospice order and began transitioning, everyone was so kind, attentive and caring. I appreciate Alameda's care for my Aunt very much. read more

The staff at Alameda Care center really seem to care about the residents there. They are always gracious and caring whenever I am there. My mom is always clean, there is no smell and the surrounding are extremely clean. the staff tries to do the best they can in a very difficult situation; dealing with patients who have dementia. Even the nurses assistants are very patient and careful with the residents. My mom had been there going on 2 years, and although there aren't many things for here to do (she used to garden, paint, sew and cook) she seems to not be afraid or angry. In my book, that is huge when dealing with Alzheimer's disease . Also, Giovani comes in to do their hair and nails. He is gracious and careful with them. My mom loves to keep up her appearance and he is really good with them! read more

Alameda's staff is AMAZING! Everyone there cares so much it's actually overwhelming. My mother was diagnosed with dementia about a year ago, and my family and I were lost with what to do. Alameda Care center came to our rescue, and as soon as a bed was available accepted my mother, and they have been nothing but kind and helpful to this day. I really can't say enough nice things about Alameda Care Center. I feel lucky to have found them. I have met most of the staff in passing and each time I'm there I've only seen them be caring and respectful to all the patients. Alyssa, Ingrid, Anna, and Leslie have been enormously supportive and are guru's beyond they're time of what takes to navigate and care for this awful disease. read more

Great experience here with my grandmother! They provide excellent care and really get to know each patient. They also offer fantastic extras like hair and nail services. I can't say enough about how Giovanni goes the extra mile to make my grandmother feel pretty and special when he does her hair and nails. He communicates with our family to keep us in the loop and my grandmother always enjoys the time she spends with him. I'd definitely recommend booking your relative a service with him! The staff thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable. They treat everyone with respect and help in everyway possible. My mother lived in the facility for 9 years she loved her roommates, the bingo and activities. I saw her often and even brought in treats and dinner. I brought in a guitarist and participated in holiday parties. I was always welcome to have dinner as well. There was never any odor, it was always clean and staff was always on hand. My father resided there for over a year. In that time, they show care and concern. They addressed our concerns with care and diligence. He passed a couple of days ago and the out pour of love and respect has been immeasurable. My heart goes out to all the staff that goes in daily and puts themselves last. The media has not done justice. Corona has and will take many. Please understand if you are a resident here, it is because you are not physically or mentally healthy enough to live alone. Do not bring your loved one here. They are responsible for my mom's death and had her strapped to a chair for a year. Her legs were so swollen that I had to go 4 times a week to elevate her feet . This is even after they were flagged by inspection for it they never took her out .then I found her beat up and slouched in her chair and had cuts on her face and arms and dried up blood on her lips. I should of took out of there then after administration told me two different stories .that was the 3rd time I caught the administrator lying to me . Always got a different story contradicting themselves and when covid hit and infected and killed the patients including my mom she try to lie and cover that too their negligence cost my mother her life. And the assholes never gave me my mom's stuff and to top it off they claim she didnt die of covid to avoid getting sued last straw was when I asked for my mom medical record she refused and asked if i had gotten a lawyer. They treat the patients like their own family members and are very caring towards others. I am forever grateful to Alameda Care and their fabulous staff for helping me when I had to place my Father in this facility. It was very difficult for me to watch his decline into dementia. It's now been almost 4yrs that he is a resident and I'm so thankful because I know he is well taken care of. They keep the facility spotless, no odor. Alameda Care Center is a wonderful care facility. The staff are all such caring and sweet people. The facility is always clean and the patients, in all levels of their illnesses, seem to be content.
