I had to do a new review because we just left there 3/8/25 at 11:45am and we decided it's a nice day out in Dallas and I was really wanting to go back to this place again because in the past it's always been a hit for my husband and I. We got in and took a seat at bar and we were helped out and had to ask for brunch menu. I did not get the pic of the brunch menu but it was very small. We almost wanted to leave because they were missing 3 very important items and likely many more. We went hoping they would still have the regular burger and the fried chicken sandwich that they used to have but nope they got rid of them both and they even changed the fried. They used to have amazing deviled eggs. It's just sad we drove all the way and not what we expected. So, I needed to change my last review not wanted to mislead others. Alamo Club is great! The frozen drinks are delicious and included in happy hour! Some of the best fries I've had. One of my favorite spots for Wednesday night trivia and also a good place to catch a game. The inside is small but the outdoor seating area is also nice and pretty big. Great service. read more

I will most definitely be returning & am hopeful to try the Al Pastor Crunchwrap & Al Pastor Burrito. The salsa was delicious as the guajillo pepper truly stands out with its smokey flavor profile. That fire roasted flavor makes ALL the difference. The chicken nuggets were DELICIOUS! Good service however don't come here for food unless your just looking for for just regular ol' bar food. We had the nachos and then something else that they charged $3 extra to "Superman that ho" and it turned out that both were nacho cheese with chili. They weren't bad but we came in hungry looking for a meal and recently they did away with their entire menu and now only serve bar food. So they have this great kitchen that goes unused and they just serve random quick food for food platter prices so I thought I'd leave a review because this is just a bar and I wouldn't come here for food again. All things considered, this is a great spot to catch up with friends, have a casual date night, or just pop in while exploring the Greenville neighborhood. Our go-to time to come to the Alamo club is for Wednesday trivia which is not only a fun vibe but also a great deal as they offer all day happy hour on trivia night! My only hesitation in giving them more stars is that service is hit or miss. The BFD! It's a breakfast burrito. Top three breakfast burritos I've ever had. It's the perfect combination of crunch and cheesy burrito I've had. Add grilled jalapeño for a kick. The salsas are flavorful but aren't spicy so you need to add jalapeños to give it any type of kick. Refried beans in the burrito are legit. read more

Alamo has awesome margaritas and I am picky. I love the patio area on a summer afternoon (shaded) or in the cold weather (heaters & fire place) out back. It's a fun spot on Greenville that is tucked away so it's not too packed usually. The service is awesome here. They change the menu up and have lots of options. I usually always go with the pasta and Chicken tenders/nuggies. This time I threw them over a salad and was very pleased, kale & pickled red onion and vinaigrette is my favorite choice. Ever stumble upon a place and then wonder how the heck you have missed this place? That's the Alamo. From the outside you would never guess that this place is as large as it is and when you see the front patio you think limited seating but don't be fooled as there is a whole open area in the back of the restaurant. So I was killing some time, was next door checking out the pastries and decided to stop in and see what they had going on as they were serving brunch at 2pm. We were greeted by a friendly guy who showed us seating options and when we saw the back area, we knew we were going to have at least a cocktail. Like most restaurants these days, the menu is visible with your QR reader and the brunch menu isn't a big lengthy book - which I appreciate. We started with blood orange mimosas and then ordered the WTF Benedict & the brisket tacos. For starters should you get the mimosa mix it! I don't know if they forgot to mix it but that first pour was straight dry wine. We didn't have any utensils until our food came otherwise I would have stirred it up however I made due and swished the carafe around to mix it up. The tacos came recommended by the man at the table next to us, and it was okay. I had to request some BBQ sauce to enhance the flavor I was looking for. The beans were "meh" - but I'm also not a huge fan on beans. However let's talk about this Benedict. It looked like a small portion, once again this is brunch, but the flavor it packed you didn't miss anything. From the crispy hash browns, the runny yolk, and the hollandaise sauce mixed with the BBQ drizzle . . . Sir, take my money!!! It was delicious! So, the family decided to have brunch here at Alamo Club, minus one daughter and her family. To start off I really did like the ambiance of this place right off the bat. It reminded me of so many restaurants we've eaten at in New York. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating in the back. We started off with three of their appetizers, and ALL three we excellent choices. You can't wrong with the three appetizers we chose, which were the Fried Green Tomatoes, Nancy's Pink Dip, and the Deviled Eggs. The Fried Green Tomatoes were the bomb! The had a nice crunchy texture to them and the remoulade sauce made it complete, delicious! The Deviled Eggs were also great! There was so much flavor in these deviled eggs. Just ordered them! You're welcome! Nancy's Pink Dip was also very tasty and with their homemade chips made that appetizer that more enjoyable. Since it was brunch and I haven't had my 3rd cup of coffee for the day yet, the wife and I ordered coffees. Just straight up, good ole black coffee and we added cream to them with a little sugar and that's all you need. I ordered the Brisket Breakfast tacos which were really good. The wife ordered Chilaquiles, which were good. They weren't bad, but having chilaquiles elsewhere, especially at Mexican restaurants is kind of hard to beat. That's ok, because everyone can have their own spin to them and these were good. There was also a Crispy Chicken Sandwich and WTF Benedict that was ordered by the daughter and her fiancé. This was our first stop of the Cupid's bar crawl this past Saturday in Greenville and it was the best choice. The vibes were amazing, food was delicious and the drinks were perfect! I would only come here for apps. We got the fried green tomatoes that were pretty good. The chip duo which you should ask for 2 of the jalapeno pickle dip because that pink one is flavorless. We also got the deviled eggs which were just ok. For entrees we got the chicken and dumplings. I didn't really care for that because the carrots were too hard, and the gnocchi was seared which didn't taste good. My daughter got the chicken tenders, and she enjoyed them. My husband got the chili and a side of mac and cheese. He said the chili was good, but the mac and cheese was sad. It barely had any cheese, and they forgot to season it. A real casual spot with quick efficient service. Ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and cheeseburger for dinner yesterday. The burger was perfectly cooked to medium rare, and its crust was nicely salted (it may be too salty for some, but I am a bit of a salt fiend). The burger was extra moist (disintegrating the bottom bun), but still tasty with knife and fork. The fries are naturally cut, on the softer side, but fluffy and fine. My partner enjoyed the crispy chicken sandwich, but wasn't raving about it. It came out piping hot, but was otherwise not too remarkable in flavor. A good solid neighborhood burger spot! read more

(I wish they served the Pink Dip all day, but it isn't available in Brunch hours.). My Big-Ass Brisket Breakfast Burrito was tasty and easy to pick up and eat, even though it is def NOT "big." My wife loved the Chicken & Waffles; crispy and dry chicken - on bacon topped waffles! Only reason I didn't get the C&W as well, is the Jalapeno Gravy - figured it might be too spicy for this lightweight to enjoy. Full bar with good House Cocktails and interesting Shots - including the ever popular 'Corpse Reviver' in a shot-sized serving. The 'Arnie-P' was particularly tasty, so I had two of those! Came here with some old co-workers when i was in town last, and gotta say... i was impressed! After a few rounds of dirty martinis (I'd give them a 7 on my scale of 10, good - but not top tier) and some apps, we ventured into dinner. A few of us had the chicken sandwich, which was well cooked and flavorful... thanks for using Duke's - it made it 5x better, and the burger and a bolognese were also ordered. Burger was cooked well, but a fairly standard and basic burger. The eater said it could have been dolled up just a smidge for a more memorable food experience. Bolognese was also good, but nothing to write home about. A solid B option on the menu. My wife and i normally go to truck yard up there road but decided to explore and visit some new spots. Alamo club definitely didn't dissapoint. It's a pretty large restaurant bar with outside seating and bar area. The bartenders were very attentive and even comped our drink due to him having messed it up. The biggest thing was we had no idea he made the drink improperly and when he realized it he came over gave us the new drink, which was delicious. The chicken on the salad was off-flavored. Cold. Thin sliced. Tasted like it had been in the back of the fridge awhile. It was called "roasted chicken" and maybe I thought it might be warm. This place was fantastic! We stopped in for brunch on their lovely patio during a visit to Dallas. Our server was super friendly and attentive. She answered our questions and made us feel comfortable and cared for. The house bloody is not to be missed. Their mix is made in-house and is one of my all time favorites. We shared a few apps. The fried green tomatoes were nothing short of perfect, from the thickness of the tomato slices to the breading to the sprinkled goat cheese. The ceviche was fresh and tasty. As for entrees, my eggs Benedict were tasty. (I suggest adding hot sauce!) My husband had the chilaquiles which were also a hit. Our friends had the cowboy cobb salad and the tacos. We had the misfortune of construction starting at the end of the patio. A crew began jackhammering, which caused debris to fly up. I'm normally a huge fan of Alamo but recently I feel like the service has been subpar. Tonight was a normal night not crowded but a few tables with a handful of people. I ordered after riding a drink I waited about 15 minutes and still nothing had been brought out. Being gracious, since there were only two staff members making drinks / serving, I thought I'll give it a little more time. 20 minutes goes by and I finally flag down the server to which he tells me he forgot to put in my order. So I order again - 10 more minutes go by and still no drink. He tells me he's sorry his "printer was having issues" (hard to believe when others seemed to be getting drinks in a timely fashion.) finally after truly about 35 minutes I get my drink - just somewhat disappointing for a place that I've had decent experience previously. read more

We got together with family during this rainy Sunday. Never been to this restaurant but for a last minute get together, we were able to get reservations. We sat out in the covered patio area. The deviled eggs were delicious. I tasted the smoky flavor and I wasn't sure why that was. Looking at the menu I see that it had smoked trout in the filling. The Nancy's pink dip was awesome! For sure there had to be cream cheese in that dip but it was addicting! For entrees, I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, my fiancé got the WTF Benedict, my mom and brother got the chilaquiles, and my stepdad order the breakfast brisket tacos. My sandwich was awesome! The chicken was crispy for sure, the sauce that came on the side really tied together the sandwich. The fries were awesome, homemade! I took a bite of my fiancé's Benedict and it was so tasty! The only complaint he had was that he expected it to come with two Benedict's. I took a bite out of my stepdads taco and oh my gosh, it was so good. The brisket was smoky and tender. I loved the hash brown added in the taco. I tried my moms chilaquiles and they was tasty as well. The tortillas had a little crunch to them which I liked. The only thing that I would modify is to have a fried egg on top. Overall we had a great first visit here for brunch. The service was awesome and food was just as amazing. Remember the Alamo...Club! I didn't. I made reservations thinking I'd try this new place. When I drove up, I remembered I'd been here before. I don't remember whether I liked it or not and I don't remember what I had. But I'd been here before. It all came rushing back. I sat in the same booth. I'm pretty sure I ordered the same thing (burger) and, to the best of my knowledge, walked away thinking "This place is pretty good but not sure I have to go back any time soon." It has an interesting vibe. It's casual but nice enough you could take a date there and impress her. The music was fantastic. It was 70's-80's dance music which is pretty much all I would listen to if given the choice. I thought the phone charging plugs at the bar was a nice (and necessary) touch. The service was just fine. The food was good. We had the Sunday Brunch menu. Note to Sunday brunch places - you don't all have to serve the same freaking thing! If anybody wants to break out of the chicken/waffles, chilaquiles, breakfast burger rut, you have my blessing. We had deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. The deviled eggs were good and I like the little egg paste they set the eggs on so they don't slide all over the plate. The fried green tomatoes tasted good but the tomatoes were too hard. I had the burger and it was well cooked and great flavor. I'm not sure why an inch and a half of lettuce is needed unless you're just trying to make a taller looking burger. Overall, pretty good.
