That, is NOT what I received. Part of the perks of having a platinum AMEX is the supposed "status" you get with AVIS (at this point, I'm not sure being a loyal customer OR having status with this company is what they tout in their commercials), which includes not having to stand in a long line and wait for a car (you should just be able to walk out find your name on the board, then grab your car). I'm not sure if it's OKC, because Hertz is just as bad, but upon arrival my car was not ready, I was not able to just walk to my car and drive off, and I ended up spending nearly half an hour trying to get my car (had to wait to "find one" with a LOT FULL of AVIS cars) that I had reserved a month prior. Is a month not enough time to ensure a smooth rental car pick up and excellent customer service??? The young ladt at the desk was initially rude, and not friendly at all. I then had to give all my information (again, how is this a thing when I literally have been an AVIS perks member for years) This is NOT even close to being "good" customer service. It's literally the opposite. Honestly, I'm seriously considering going to a competitor that ACTUALLY cares about its patrons/loyal customers. I'm not sure when American companies quit caring about the people that keep them in business, but it is a sad state of affairs. As for AVIS, I can only hope they start to treat their customers better. Merry Christmas, by the way.

It was pretty easy to get to the rental car service from the airport. There was a complimentary shuttle that took approximately 15 minutes to get to the airport to the rental car service. There was no line as we approached the Avis Rent A Car around 11 P.M. on a Saturday evening. The gentleman who was there was able to easily look up the reservation. He was extremely friendly and offered us sightseeing suggestions while in Oklahoma City. The vehicle we ended up with was a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Minivan. This was one of our first times driving a hybrid vehicle and were looking forward to the rental vehicle. The vehicle provided had a smooth ride! There were some mechanical issues, such as a warning light for an oil change, the blind spot monitors were not working properly in the vehicle, and it did make a strange noise. We made sure to fill the vehicles gas to the full tank. There was a gas station about 2 miles away from the airport. The dropping of the vehicle was a breeze. We handed over the keys to one of the team members working at 6:00 A.M. in the morning on a Thursday!

I want to acknowledge that the woman working next to Stan was able to assist me and ultimately complete my rental, but my interaction with Stan at the counter was unnecessarily confrontational. When I approached the desk I was calm and polite, although I did mention I was not having the best day and was hoping to complete the process quickly. Instead of simply assisting with the reservation, Stan repeatedly suggested that I go somewhere else, including telling me I could go to Enterprise instead. I explained that I had already made my reservation and only needed help completing the pickup. The interaction escalated when he called for security, even though I had not raised my voice or behaved aggressively. I stepped away, took a moment to calm down, and then went to the employee next to him who was able to complete the transaction without issue. There was also confusion in the parking lot where I was initially directed to a vehicle that belonged to someone else, which required me to return inside and receive a different vehicle. Customer service situations can be stressful for both employees and customers, but professionalism matters, especially when someone is simply trying to complete a reservation. I hope this location reviews how interactions like this are handled so other customers don't experience unnecessary escalation.

    Back story... I have been renting from this location once a month for the past 2 + years and each…read moretime my experience has been pleasant. I check in online and when I arrive I just find my name on the board and pick my car. Drop off is just as simple, I drive up leave my rental and keys and go on my way. This past weekend I dropped off my car and accidentally left behind my AirPods. I could see them on the Find My app and they were still at Hertz. We went back to get some assistance and we ran into Gee who was around the customer service drop off both. We told him we had left something behind and he jumped into action. He asked for my rental record and quickly located the car. He pulled the car into the drop off parking lot and let us look through the car. Unfortunately they were not in there. He then suggested that they could be in the drop off box if they were still on the property. He went to go look and there they were. Big shoutout to Gee for being a real MVP. He went above and beyond to help us out. He was kind and patient in a very stressful time, so thank you!!!!!!

When we went to pick it up, surprise, they didn't have what we…read morehad rented and "upgraded" us to a smaller SVU (we had rented a midsize AWD SUV à la Buick; we got a base model Hyundai Venue, which had zero horsepower and was small. But we didn't have time to complain, so whatever). I had to have the car back by 5 PM. I dropped it off at approximately 4:55 PM (4:58 PM by the photo); the staff at the airport waited until 5:55 PM to check the car in, so I got charged for an extra hour, an extra day for an additional driver, and an extra day for tolls (because Hertz charges extra at the 30 minute mark). Plus all of the additional fees and taxes associated with that. I have the time stamped evidence, and I will attach it to this review. (Pink arrow is pointing to the car. In the return lane.) I thought, okay. I'll call customer service and get this sorted out. Hertz made me do the chat online first. That was useless and circular and I finally asked for a live human, only to remain perpetually in queue. I tried calling customer service and the AI Agent (Hollie? Heather?) told me to give her details. I started to and was placed on hold in the middle of it. What. The. Heck. And then I was on hold for over ten minutes, and I give up for today. My husband has been a loyal Hertz customer for over a decade. I'm now going to insist we take our business elsewhere.
