I have contacted National Car Rental 8 times with no response. They do not show up for arriving…read moreflights and are never there for there 3-5p posted hours. I left non perishable grocery items in the car. I realize this is my own fault. The very next morning I called and left a message about the items left in the car and I would pick up the items when I returned the next week. I know from airport management at the airport National did not service the vehicle for a couple of days. I did finally get someone at CWA who told me she would look into it and call me back. She did not keep her word now another week gone by with no response. They don't even respond from the site online for complaints. This will be the last time I rent from National Car rental. I probably wouldn't be so pissed but have not received my unemployment and $26.00 in groceries are a lot money for me right now. I know for a fact that they got my message before they serviced the vehicle. I have already emailed twice but maybe 3rd time 3rd time writing to them was not a charm. Unfortunately they have dishonest people working for them. Where I worked you try and contact the person that left the items. If you can't you hold the items for 30 days.

There were no rental cars available, and I was still miles and miles away from my final destination. There was a hotel room available somewhere in Rhinelander, but I couldn't get to it if I wanted to. I searched the depths of the internet to try to find a solution. I found an article... a feature piece in a local newspaper - about the only Uber driver in Rhinelander. "I'm screwed," I thought to myself. I dialed every Rhinelander taxi company that I could find on the internet. Most of the phone lines were out of service, or they were just closed and couldn't help me. "This is not good," I said out loud, to myself. I called the only person I knew from the area and they suggested hitchhiking. "I'm not doing that. That's a hard pass from me, dog." "People are friendly around here, you'll have no problem!" was the reply. The problem was, I thought that I was out of options. So I did the logical thing. I systematically asked everybody getting off the same plane as me if they were headed to the same area I was, and if they'd help a fella out with a ride. A lot of weird looks. I mean, I've never seen people look at me with so much skepticism. I'm not sure if it was my pink shirt or my overly bright smile at midnight, but I got a whole lot of no's, and they came really fast. As every inch of hope drained from my body, one very sweet old lady offered to have me spend the night in a spare bedroom at her lake house before trying to find my way in the morning. This was a nice offer, but it felt a little weird. I did not take her up on the offer, but she did dive into her wallet and pull out a card for Eagle River Taxi. "Honey, I called these guys 2 years ago and they were very helpful. At least I think it was two years ago. Good luck." So I dialed. And waited. And then the voice of an angel crackled through the other end of the phone. That angel? That angel was Kurt, the dispatcher. Our exchange went something like this: "Kurt, I can't thank you enough." Kurt - laughing - said, "We're a taxi company, this is literally what we do!" The delivery made me laugh really hard, and a special relationship was born. Kurt dispatched the very friendly, well-bearded Paul. Paul and I traded jokes and stories the entire ride up. The service was excellent, and I booked two more sizable rides over the next few days. I would recommend Eagle River Taxi to anyone and everyone. Heroes. Total heroes.

We have had a lotta different experiences utilizing different shops, and unfortunately their success rate has not touched this garage.
