Basic facility. Four full court courts and all four have the option of being used as a two smaller full courts. Usually when I see open gym here it's on the smaller full court setup. Poor, poor design. Not sure who designed this facility. Monkeys perhaps. Completely nonsensical. This is a building filled with courts. And that's it. There is no where for anyone to go unless you are playing on the courts. A tiny walkway around the perimeter forces anyone who is walking, to pretty much walk through someone's game. Safety hazard for everyone. There is not even a hallway for players to wait or eat. No where. Nothing. Concession stand sells strictly junk. And is practically on the court. You could probably yell in an order while playing a game from the court. On top of that, the volleyball courts are designed where one side of the court goes right up to the wall. What??? The other side has a set of tiny bleachers for people who are sitting ducks for a wayward volleyball to come and smack them right in the face. This makes no sense. At all. What in the world. Makes for a pretty miserable experience, especially on a hot Texas day. Air conditioning could not keep up. Players were heated and tired. Parking is not able to handle large tournaments. I will start by saying I'm a sucker for shiny hard wood floors. Love them! It is very nice to see sports complexes designed for children to have a place to go and practice their game if it's basketball or volleyball. The facility is very spacious. Not like some I've been to where there is not enough benches to sit on, people standing awfully close trying to see their child play. This is my son's first year in Select Basketball and this weekend are finals! The best of the best balling for top dog in the game. SUMMER CAMPS WEBSITE IS A LIE! Website says everything is included, but they make you pay extra...like $60 for 1 field trip!! EEKKK! pulled my kid out! website has false advertisement. Also, it was advertised as a sports summer camp but once i got more details, it's more of a day care that they market as a sports camp to get people in. My family love going into this arena, all the staff are wonderful and welcome us with open arms. Whenever you run into the owner Mr. Brown, you are always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The entire facility is always clean and well kept, the snack bar offer a variety of snack at an affordable family price. There are always something going on here at Alamo City All Stars Sportsplex for all ages that are engaged in different sports. As of this date we have never had a negative experience which make this complex a number one family spot thanks to the staff and owner. I was surprised to find such a nice Sports Complex right off the highway. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you are in...it is well maintained and a very nice place. The only problem is paying to get into when they host events...very small lobby and there was a lil bit of chaos at the door, but a good spot. read more

My daughter played in a volleyball tournament at this facility... The facility was very congested. Not a lot of bleacher seating... No out side chairs allowed... Bathrooms, concession stand, and trainer room all located on one side of the building... With all the congestion it was very difficult to get to the other side... While games where going on lots of walking and waiting while players were serving... I felt claustrophobic because of all the people crammed in this facility... The paved parking lot is small... The other parking area is an open dirt field... To host a large tournament at this place is insane... read more

This is strictly for the summer camp. When signing up for something and the website says, "including field trips" and that the price is "$160 per child per week", you don't expect any other costs. They even indicated an extra, "One-time, $10 charge per Camp Shirt" but NOWHERE did they indicate extra costs for anything else. After I signed my child up, I started getting emails for other weeks and at one point saw one for $20 to the zoo. Immediately I thought, "Wait why are they paying for a field trip when it made no indication there were extra costs?" Fast forward to the week before my son would be attending and we had yet to receive anything about the Sea World(that's the ONLY information we received a head of time - the destination) field trip they would be going on. A friend decided to call and found out that there would in fact be another charge to attend. That charge? $60(and still have to take their lunch even though the site says the week includes meals)!! So as of Thursday no communications have been sent out to parents letting them know that they will be hit up for another $60. I'm curious, what happens if you can't afford that? Surely they could stay behind at the camp since you paid for the WEEK right? Nope! You either pay the extra charge or simply don't show up that day. So, apparently you're not actually paying for the week, or I guess their definition of a week is different from most people. Hope you don't have to suddenly make arrangements for your child! To me this is false advertising. They simply could have included something saying that there would be an additional charge for a field trip. Or perhaps they could let people know that if they can't, or maybe don't want their kids to, attend a place(like Sea World - pretty controversial these past few years) that their only option would be to stay home. Plus there is that fact that it is advertised as a basketball and volleyball camp. Your kid plays as they put it, "a little bit of basketball, a little bit of volleyball and agility". So factor in that field trip that you may or may not get to attend(and as I hear it more than that this current week which cost an additional 10-20 each), plus swimming on Fridays and it sounds more like a glorified day care instead of somewhere for your kids to learn the sport you were signing them up for. Now if you decide to question them about all of this, they'll be happy to give you the run around, then indicate that, "well it wasn't NOT posted on the site" and then offer you a refund. Well it wasn't NOT posted...that's a good one. Clearly they have no desire to keep business or build a relationship with people or they wouldn't hide these things, wait till the last minute to dump it on the parents and then come up with excuses and readily offer you your money back. My son and I were hoping to have him learn some more basketball skills this summer as that is his favorite sport. Now we have to make other arrangements for him that week plus hope there are openings in another basketball camp. read more

we attended a lonestar tournament here in February, it was an absolute disaster, cant believe lonestar picked this facility. It appears to be a great practice facility but definitely not for a large tournament. The parking was an abysmal, had to park 1/2 mile away at a church and on Sunday you couldn't park at the church so you had to go even further. 1 restroom in the entire place, only have bleacher seating and it filled up fast and left people standing 3 deep on the sides, to walk any where you had to walk between the bleachers and the court while games were being played--very disruptive to the players. You cant setup and tailgate in the parking lot and offer the girls a good nutritious meal, you have to buy the junk from the snack bar. Hopefully Lonestar doesn't go back next year. read more

My son has been coming here for quite a while. I have to say that I truly enjoyed not only the treatment that he receives hear from the staff. But the quality of children in the behaviors that are expected of them the mediately when They walk in the door. read more
