This is by far the best playground in San Antonio!!!! The playground has the softest padded bouncy-like ground, tons of slides your kids will enjoy, a huge pirate ship, mermaid cove, castle, swings galore ! There are tons of climbing structures and bridges to climb across too! My kids have the most fun here and it's always hard to leave (even for me lol). I think I speak for many parents that the only thing they're missing is a splash pad! There are a handful of restrooms that are always clean and have handicap accessible changing tables too!! They do tend to run out of toilet paper quickly and sometimes only one restroom is available. Those are the only qualms I have , otherwise it's amazing ! We make several loops through the park, keeping count of all the deer. Typically around 10 each time we walk. Be careful though, they may pop out in front of you on the trail. As will many bikers passing you "ON YOUR LEFT!" I've not seen any other big animals to be aware of during the day. When it is exceptionally busy, the bikers do seem to be prevalent and it is important to keep your dog (and kids) close. We enjoy this park though due to our proximity to it and ease of walking. It wasn't quite shaded enough to frequent in the summertime though.

First of all, I think this joint needs to check the pricing they have listed on their website. I know I was charged more than that - particularly for socks. I think we were already in the system, because I wasn't asked my kids ages...but yeah...please check the pricing in your website. I was a little taken aback but what I ended up paying. I honestly think was overcharged. Second, I think their no outside food or drink policy is ridiculous. You're already making money, people. If you want people to use your kitchen - make it more appealing. Third, someone please get in there to repair the arcade. Many machines are barely hanging on...or missing components like balls, etc. Some out of order, or if they do work they are not working well. Fourth, there needs to be better monitoring of the toddler area. I saw way too many bigger kids in there and no enforcement. Made me nervous for my 18mo. Lastly, I'm torn over the play as long as you want after payment model. Anyone who has littles knows you really only have a couple hours before a tantrum, or a nap is necessary, etc. I know of another similar play place model that does sell hour increments and i kinda feel I got more bang for my buck that way. If you're going to let people be there all day once they pay...provide wristbands so people can come back later in the day. IMO. Overall, kids love it; we'll be back.

When visiting please keep in mind that they are not only a hiking trail, but they have multiple soccer fields, and a pirate-theme playground at Mitchell's Landing. The playground is truly a masterpiece which was created for kids of all ages. Frankly my kid was having the time of his life running from one side to another not knowing where to even start, which I guess was a good problem to have. The reason why I am not giving them 5 stars is because parking is a nightmare. There are not enough parking spots to fit the crowds that come here. Between the soccer classes, birthday parties and the morning walkers, parking is super hard to get and you might have to be driving around a couple times until you get one. If it wasn't because of the birthday I was going, I would've turned around and go back home. Regardless, this is an amazing park and highly recommend for anyone with kids as little as 2 - 12.

04 Jan 2026 This is…read morea cute,small wilderness area. It butts up against a neighborhood on one side and up against a water dam of some sort on the other. The trail is basically fenced in. This is a dormant time of the year. Nothing flowering, did not see any deer, no insects. Hell, there weren't any birds, either. There was a lot cactus. The trail is a loop. Less than 2 miles. The husband was taking pictures and we were done in less than an hour because as I said, nothing much is happening. We'll go back in two or three months when hopefully things are hopping.
