He wanted me to pay him $1,200 prior to surgery - cash or personal check. I didn't owe that much on my deductible. He said if I didn't agree with the payment/office policy I could go elsewhere. Definitely, very distasteful way of convincing me he had my best interest at heart.  Now, I'll search for a surgeon, someone more welcoming .  I came in with gallstones and now I have to wait another 2 months before I can get some help. He overcharges his patients and can care less about your overall health. The experience was not pleasant and it's clear he was not a bit concerned about my well being; not to mention he charged me $200.00 for the initial visit.
