He is SOOOO sweet, funny and truly listens and cares! I have MULTIPLE health issues, So of course he even found me a top specialist, I couldnt seem to find on my own, after 2years of searching! To be brutally honest, I have brain tumors in my brain where it controls the hormones and thyroid, so we all know what happens with hormones acting up 24/7, anywhere i sweat, i break out! AND you know what? Dr. Downham has NEVER made me feel stupid or dumb, even when asking about owies in some odd places.lol. To the people who bash him, did you ever think maybe he had a rough day that day? Or how is receptionist his fault??? He told my son listen to me if you don't want those use only zest soap in 1 month they'll be gone. I felt horrible when he told me you never pop bumps like that you'll scare him for life. I felt like the worst mom ever! Fast forward to 5 months zest used twice a day for a month no change. Finally made another appointment yesterday with a different dermatologist who said yes they are white heads want me to get rid of them. She explained he's only and the white heads never came to a head. She got them all and now with just a few little spots will heal up in a week. She recommended rentina to stop future problems.

My acne problem went away after treatment with him, and he was a very nice man. I wish I had seen him first. Dr. Waldinger was a much better doctor. His demeanor was much better, and his treatment was more effective. Thanks Dr. Waldinger! (I'm sure he doesn't remember me, but I appreciated him).

Some small tools and equipment were randomly laying out on a side table, appeared used with crumbled tissues. The small rooms didn't have a ceiling, sound easily traveled, machines were loud, overall the space seemed very outdated. When I scheduled the appt, I was informed they had the specific laser I was looking to be treated with. Drove an hour to the appt for the consult, was told the laser was sent for maintenance without an estimated repair time. Told it could be months. Said they could book me in their Dearborn location. Receptionist was the same person that was doing my consultation. He seemed pushy, was told that they are the cheapest than anyone else. People always come back because they are so cheap. Cheaper than Ann Arbor, and any city. I'm not worried about the cost, I barely was able to talk about what I was looking for. He seemed to talk down to me. Never sat in the dirty client chair, instead there was a chair inches by the sink that I sat in. The man used the sink to wash his hands after he attempted to clean up, and stood inches away from me and I was splashed with water. After the disappointing unprofessional consult, left for the hour drive back to my area. Wish they had provided a courtesy phone call about not having the laser. Won't get this time back in my life. Update! Unfortunately the quality of care has gone downhill at this urgent care. They have now…read moremishandled 2 UTI's that I have been treated for. The first, I was underdosed with cephalexin, changed to cipro (which didn't work at all) someone finally figured out that I had been underdosed and I was put back on cephalexin. The second, I was given 1500mg of cephalexin instead of the gold standard which is 2000mg and was told they prescribed the lesser due to some billing things? (Not clear) so he orders the extra pills to put me on 4 times a day. I go back today and the Provider Kerrie Machcinski adamantly tries to tell me I was prescribed 500mg 4 times a day because she didn't do her homework and see that's not what I was prescribed initially and when I say I'll call my home and have them take a picture. She gets very aggressive and angry and even says "I know I'm being defensive" . It was unprofessional and extremely upsetting because I don't feel good and I'm coming to them to figure things out. She was demoralizing and did not make me feel heard as the patient and I didn't feel comfortable talking to her further. I won't be back.
