I am beyond happy with the results; came from Russia with everything deteriorated. Over the years Dr. Nohr fixed everything. The last surgery was in July 2021, it was under general anesthesia and went perfectly well. I do understand this was very complex operation, with lots of careful preparation, implants, plate. I have only been going to Dr. Nohr for about two months now but I am already as impressed as can be. I've lived in four cities in three different states in the past ten years, so I've been through a bunch of dentists, and I'm thrilled to have found one that I believe is the best one yet. The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They presented a treatment case sheet that showed every issue that I have with my teeth, what the treatment options were, and how much each would cost with my insurance. Lastly, and most importantly, the crown that they put on was extremely well done. This is my third crown done by the third different dentist, and on the other two, I was so sore for a few days I could barely eat and was constantly taking Advil for the pain. On this one, I waited for the antisthetic to wear off, and when it did, I felt no pain whatsoever. They did a phenomenal job. The cleaning was also done very gently but thoroughly, with useful feedback for me on what my "problem" areas were and how to improve. This is how dental work SHOULD be done. I give these guys five stars and look forward to being a patient for years to come ... at least, insofar as one can look forward to anything related to the dentist. read more

I have seen Dr. Nohr for the last 10 yrs and was happy, until he recently hired a business mgr who used to work for Dr. Warner Young, who had an orthodontic practice across the street. Dr. Nohr's office referred me to Dr. Young, saying "Dr. Nohr sends his children there". However, during my orthodontic treatment Dr.Young abruptly closed his practice, robbing my family of $6k. I did not blame Dr. Nohr's office for this, as I felt they were victims as much as myself. However, now that the same business mgr is running Dr. Nohr's office, every time I hand my credit card to her, I feel slightly nauseated, and cannot help the feeling that Dr. Nohr is somehow complicit in my monetary loss. It is certainly an insensitive move on Dr. Nohr's part, knowing there are many victims of Dr. Young's crime in the area. read more

I have never left his office not knowing everything that he recommends for my treatment plan, why, & alternatives when there are options. After completing any minor or major work, he walks thru every step, and describes it in analogies so I get it! And they are on call for you after any form of work -- which I have used and they are super pleasant and invested in your care. The team in the front office as well as the back has been together since I've been seeing him, which is 6+ years. I found Dr. Nohr bc I needed a second opinion when "Sunset Dentistry" surprised with 4 cavities after moving into the area. Dr Nohr's dentists took a look and noticed that two needed air abrasion and the other two were "watches". Over the next 5 years of dentist visits, I was really impressed with the hygienists and dentists at Dr. Nohr. They were very patient, knowledgeable in the latest techniques (like air abrasion - much better than drilling) and did a great job keeping my mouth clean and costs to a minimum. I never had any advanced procedures but if you need general dentistry (cleanings and good evaluations), I highly recommend Dr. Nohr's team. Since I moved away, they have also been very helpful in transmitting documents. They have great receptionists. One note: When I started using a sonic toothbrush, I noticed better comments from the hygienists even though I never got going with the flossing. read more

I have been coming to this dental office for the better part of 10 years. When I started treatment with Nohr DDS, I was young, broke, and my teeth were in bad shape. They have an amazing team and finance office that helped me map out what I could chip away at to start working at better dental health. The schedulers were patient with me, too, and thankfully I wasn't scolded too badly for my poor habits. this was important for me because it meant I didn't have to be ashamed to show up and get the treatment I needed. It's taken many years but I have finally gotten to a place where I take pride in caring for my teeth. Sure I've been disappointed in myself or embarrassed when prior failure to care for my teeth properly resulted in a setback but each time we've managed to work together to turn the ultimate result into a positive. I'm now doing a combination of orthodontics and implant dentistry for a missing tooth in the aesthetic zone. Dr Nohr is thorough and is in touch with my orthodontist to make sure the end result of both treatments is exactly what I want. Because an implant is one-way, we will not place the implant until the teeth surrounding the site are exactly where they need to be. Soon I'll have the pretty, healthy teeth I've wished for for a decade! I'm really thankful to have a dental team I trust that helped me to get there. read more

This office has gone downhill. The staff is always changing and there is a big sense of inexperience with the hygienist. I come to this office as a patient of Dr. Nohr, yet the last few times- I have been seen by two different doctors without warning. His bedside is not great, but he knows his stuff. That's what has kept me at this office. Their billing department is TERRIBLE!!! They can not keep anyone hired- and they are extremely expensive compared to other offices. I will be giving it another try because I've been a long time patient here, but I'm looking into different offices as it's been too many issues that seem to be getting worst. read more

Best Dentist around. I've changed my insurance just to be able to keep. I've had several intense procedures done by Dr. Nohr and his assistant: root canals, crowns, and now implant. I cannot tell you how much it means to have a highly skilled dentist do the work instead of someone else. He makes every tough and scary procedure manageable and as comfortable as it can be. He's also the only dentist I have ever had that gives painless shots. The receptionists and Nolette (finance) are always nice and inviting and work with me to sort things out with insurance. The other dentists in the office that have done the regular work (fillings and build ups) are ok. They do a good job and I have zero complaints but I just don't feel as comfortable as with Dr. Nohr himself. read more

Beware -- do not use them! They were not under network with my plan but I went with them anyways because I wanted someone gentle and compassionate, and reviews said they were that. Despite not being in network, they said my insurance should cover a good portion of the cost. While sedated they recommended many added services, xrays required, cancer screening, etc. Never got a bill from them , and when I asked them about it they were still going back and forth with insurance as a good chunk had been denied. Went in for a second cleaning a few months later at their suggestion and again they said they were still working it out with insurance. A few months later they again called about scheduling a cleaning and I said I wanted to wait to see how much I owed for the previous visits and they said they were still working on that but would get a statement out to me soon. A few months went by with no communication from them and next thing I know they sent my account to collections. The first communication I got about an actual bill was from the collection agency. Dr. Nohr's office managers response was that they had been sending it to the wrong PO box. They had no trouble getting a hold of me by phone or email about appointments or other suggested procedures, but couldn't pick up the phone about a balance. $3000 for two teeth cleanings. And now a black mark on my credit report due to the incompetence of their office staff. And in the consultation after my xray of all the work he wanted me to do, he missed the one area that was giving me problems. And when I questioned him about that area, he looked again and said oh yeah that too. If you have a fear of the dentist, you will have a bigger fear of them after going here! read more

I had partial dry socket on the lower right socket after 4 wisdom teeth removal. Dr Nohr packed dry socket dressing on Friday, but the dressing fell out that nigh. I really appreciated Dr Nohr and his wife came to office the next morning (Saturday even though the office is closed) and packed new dressing for me, and told me if need to pack again just call them. Doctor Nohr is very good and was the reason I started going there for dental care a few years ago. After the first few visits, I started being passed to other dentists that worked there, I thought it was ok until my last visit when a young female dentist was asked by the hygienist to do the consultation and she barely even had me open my mouth, clearly she wasn't interested. The hygienist was awfully inexperienced, sprayed me all over, kept the suction device hanging at the corner of my mouth where wasn't really doing anything and I left there not even feeling my teeth were cleaned. They used to have very good hygienists but they all left and 2 of my last three visits were very bad experiences and I got less than mediocre treatment. Was referred to Dr. Nohr for dental care from a dental practice in Kirkland. Was scheduled for a teeth cleaning and a new patient visit. I have been update to date for years in my dental care, going in every 6 months. The minute I stepped in for the appointment they had to take xrays, do an examination but here is where the woman who was the hygienist started saying I needed a "deep dental" cleaning, there was an issue with a crown, possibly a cavity, etc.....! So they didn't do my cleaning then because they needed more time, of course they had wasted time with the xrays, etc....! All they had to do was request my xrays and information from my prior dentist whom I had shared with them. So I felt like I was being upsold. Dr. Nohr seemed good, he agreed with the hygienist's recommendations. Don't know if I will be back. Also, they tried to move my appointment which I had scheduled months out and worked my work schedule around. Now my dental insurance will have to pay out a ton, I took time off from work and I am no closer to having my teeth cleaned. :-( read more

I have been coming to Dr. Nohr for more than 5 years and couldn't be more satisfied. The whole staff including Janice and Nicole at front desk, Nolette in scheduling & billing makes the whole experience smooth. Dr. Nohr is informative, explains things simply and helps make your own decisions. I have been holding back on getting my wisdom teeth removed for almost 5 years now (I am just that scared) but he has never been pushy and even helped fill cavities back there to keep them alive as much as possible. Last year when I got married and my wife moved to Seattle, Dr. Nohr was an obvious choice. My wife is super terrified of dentists but she felt at ease with Dr. Nohr right after her first appointment. And now we both come here despite the 45 minutes drive from Seattle. I was there last year. I was suggested 10 fillings and a deep cleaning procedure known as "Scaling and root planing". 6 of them was old fillings. And for one of these 6, he said it would probably require a root canal afterwards. I got two fillings done there and went to another dentistry for a second opinion. New place found all remaining fillings unnecessary. And instead of expensive root planing procedure, they did regular cleaning. So, If a dentist suggests "Deep scaling" or "replacing old fillings", I advise you getting a second opinion from a conservative dentist. By doing this, I avoided many fillings, an invasive cleaning procedure and a root canal. New place also pointed another cavity and abscesses below an old root canal. Dr had missed these. read more

WOW! Best experience EVER!! I have extreme anxiety with dental procedures... I had some terrible experiences as a child which scarred me for life. When I was told I had to have a crown I panicked. But Dr Nohr is a genius. I could not feel the shots in my upper jaw at all. And he finished the drilling on my molar before I got through three Van Halen songs on my playlist! Amazing. His helper was very accommodating. She did everything she could to make me feel safe and calm. I will definitely go here for any major dental procedures. Bedside manner AND over 20 years experience. I have a terrible fear of the dentist, truly terrible fear. I get super anxious, hyperventilate, panic, and light headed...crazy, I know. But, Dr.Nohr and his team have made me feel so comfortable. They are so understanding, offer a great deal of options to make sure you are comfortable. Most importantly I have never felt judged or rushed. Most dental office have to send you to this Dr. or that Dr. to have things like a root canal or wisdom teeth but Dr. Nohr can do most everything! There is nothing like one stop shopping. I dont have time to run to muli. Dr. offices to get things done. He also is great with people who are fearful or want to sleep for treatment. What more can you ask for in a dentist? My visit was not at all satisfactory. I went there for a checkup and regular cleaning after changing my dentist and was told that I needed 4 hours of deep cleaning. I had a deep cleaning 3 years back and personally did not feel that I needed 4 hours of cleaning. They checked with my insurance and they showed me that it is going to be covered 85%. Looks like the intention was to maximize the insurance benefits. I took my X-Rays and went to another Dentist, where they did a regular cleaning first and told me that I need probably 30 minutes of deep cleaning which could not be cleaned through regular cleaning. Not only that saved me money, it also saved me 3 hours and 30 minutes of painful procedure under anaethesia that was not needed. Shouldn't this be the approach for any doctor who looks after the patient? Do regular cleaning first and then do a deep cleaning for areas that is needed !!! The doctor's office definitely wanted to maximize my insurance's annual benefits. Definitely would not recommend. read more

This was our family dentist for about a decade, but our most recent experience was awful. The associate, Dr Higgins, refused to listen when our 7-year-old cried out in pain during a procedure--for over an hour and a half. And it looks like this will take more procedures to fix. I have had many traumatic and painful dental experiences in my time. For whatever reason (possibly I'm a red head) my teeth can't completely get numb and it's stressful every time. A couple of years ago a dentist friend of mine recommended Dr Nohr. He and his incredible staff are simply changing my life. I am not being over dramatic. To walk in and get all my work done with out the stress and pain is something I will always appreciate. I had extensive work to be done and his entire staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone I have met has been respectful and upfront. At first I thought getting sedated for my dentistry was going to be a little creepy ...but I am so grateful I went through with it. Dr Nohr is amazing and my only regret is that I didn't come in sooner. Nolette is fantastic and knowledgeable about insurance and she with Dr Nohr helped me find a plan that I could afford while maximizing my crappy insurance. I love you guys!!! I have been a patient for about eight years. I am a cowardly, demanding patient who is pleased to have found Dr. Nohr's practice. Dr. Nohr allows patients to guide their own care. Suggestions are made and a "watch list" is created, but there is no pressure to proceed until the patient is ready. He is never rushed when answering questions. The sedation services he provides are top notch. The office staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My hygienist, who has been there the whole eight years, is thorough yet gentle. I went to Doctor Nohr for a few years. I had alot of work done. I had no dental insurance and paid out of pocket. My mother paid alot and helped me, to the tune of 10, 000 and up. Dr Nohr himself is great. He did make one tooth ALOT whiter then all the rest and I still am not happy with it to this day. My mothers finances slowly went down and she was not able to continue helping me pay. I had to not go as often. I then had an emergency flare up. I went in and they wanted payment up front. I asked to make a few payments instead of one full. It was only about 150.00 but everyone, I believe has had some money issues. The bookeeper was rude and was very impatient. The front office main girl is loud, rude and not someone I would put in front. I had had issues with them in the past but kept going because Dr. Nohr was fantastic! After being treated this way by the office staff for the last time and leaving the office in tears I decided I would no longer go there. They got all the money out of me and then could not deal with me. I still owed 49.50 or so and I moved. The bill was lost in the mail. They could not take the time to find me and turned it into collections. I am done with that kind of treatment!!!!!! read more
