REDMOND MODERN DENTISTRY @ REDMOND As a first timer at this dentist office, I was excited to step in. They have easy parking available right out front and there are plenty of seats in the waiting room. There was one person working at the desk that was occupied with another customer so I waited for a couple of minutes.The place itself is clean, modern, and has a small section that provides coffee for guests. As a new patient, they needed to do an examination that entails about an hour and a half of x rays and photos. After doing the examination, I came back to do the cleaning with Dr. Chiang, she was extremely nice, helpful, and gave her own advice for the best cleaning. However, if you have sensitive teeth i'd recommend letting her know because she does go deeply into your gums for plaque, and it does hurt a bit. She was extremely kind and was super gentle with my teeth, and even described each process and step she was doing. What lost a star for me, the assistant finished up my cleaning by flossing, brushing, and polishing my teeth, she would just do things in your mouth without telling you it. Before polishing, she just stuffed my bottom row of teeth with a cotton pad and aggressively went back and forth, it hurt horribly. I mentioned to her that i'd appreciate her letting me know what she does, especially if it can be out of the blue, or a bit aggressive feeling. Despite her assisting Dr. Chiang during my cleaning, I assumed she realized that I appreciate understanding each process of my cleaning, as my teeth can get sensitive, and as most patients, we'd like to understand what is done. read more

As someone with high anxiety around medical and dental procedures, I highly recommend Redmond Modern Dentistry. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They helped me through a root canal and several fillings last year as I caught up on many years of dental work I had avoided. I do not feel avoidant of the dentist anymore because of my experiences. I still feel anxious, but it is nowhere near what I felt before thanks to the amazing team here. I plan to continue preventative care here as long as I possibly can. Great experience! So I kinda destroyed a molar a bit while sleeping, and since I'm new to the area I didn't have a dentist or even my dental records in this country, I figured I will try to find a place where I can feel comfortable and give it a whirl since this was now a rather urgent thing to fix Enter Redmond Modern Dentistry, since the call, they promptly stated to focus on my problem first before trying to get any other sort of work done, they understood my immediate problem and offered help in terms of appointment. The day of my appointment, the receptionist and offered all kinds of goodies while I waited, the area is very nice, comfortable chairs, water, tea, magazine, tv, the works. I met the dental assistant (I believe her name was Allie) and Dr. Shahid, what a wonderful pair of dental professionals, they made sure that I was not nervous at all, equipment is state of the art, they have these wonderful digital X Ray technology that was pretty amazing to me, also very comfortable, then Dr. Shahid clearly explained my issues in-depth and the approach to fix them, they showed me the CEREC technology they have to help create crowns on the spot and was even shown the milling process, I add here some pictures, I was pretty amazed. In addition to all of that, when using CEREC for restoration of onlays or inlays, a donation is made to charity:water Dr. Shahid, I cannot thank you enough for making my experience so great as well as Allie, the process was long (I had to get a crown and onlay) but I walked out of the clinic feeling like I found the place for my dental care now and in the future Furthermore, extremely friendly staff overall, committed to customer satisfaction and very easy to deal with. read more

Hands down the best dental office I've been to! I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Shah and his staff at Redmond Modern Dental! I followed him from his practice in Maple Valley and it is well worth the drive. I recently moved back to WA and Dr. Shah was a life saver when he replaced two broken crowns for me (done by a different dentist) He got me into his schedule last minute but most importantly he took his time to make them right. Dr. Shah is a very experienced dentist and highly educated. And so is his staff! They move like a well oiled machine. Not only are they great at what they do, they really make you feel welcome and comfortable. If you have any fear of the dentist this is the place for you! Dr. Shah is very gentle and really takes his time to make sure you are okay. And does quality work! Scheduling and billing were very simple also. No upcharges or pushing of extra services. Dr. Shah and his assistants, as well as the front office staff are very kind, gentle, professional, knowledgeable, and are wonderful at patient communication. Poor communication, I had the dentist tell me one thing and then the assistant tell me another. Was also given a misdiagnosis. I was told I needed a crown and then I found out day of appointment that it was a filling instead. Once I was ready to leave the doctor went "I guess I'll see you next for your cleaning, whenever that is". For the one filling I had they put novacain so deep in the way back of my mouth, normally it's put around the area of the filling but they put it so far that my entire face went numb. I personally don't recommend to go here. read more

I was so happy with my experience at Redmond Modern Dentistry. They completely fixed my smile. I had a severely chipped front tooth, and basically I couldn't smile at all. Given that it was my main front tooth, I had to get it fixed asap. I called them on a Wed evening, and they got me in the very next morning. (I had guests coming over on Friday) The staff was super friendly and the paperwork was a breeze. They were able to get a same day crown done and it looks amazing. I was really nervous about how my smile would look after the work was done, but Dr. Shah eased my nervousness, and took the time out to make sure I was happy with the results. I have to say that I had a great experience and honestly, it far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have good and reliable dental work done. I am scared of having any teeth related work, but this place has put a little bit of ease for me. Have been here twice. The staff is good, great at scheduling and adjusting times . Is pretty clean. Has the modern equipments. Have soft music which makes it lighter in mood. Also I have been told that they own the crown making machine, which means the root canal with crown can happen the same day. read more

I just moved here and needed to find a dentist. I'm SO lucky that Redmond Modern Dentistry not only was close but also covered by my insurance because I went there for my check-up and they are AWESOME! Seriously, every person in the office and Dr. Shah are absolutely fabulous! Their equipment is super modern (i.e. no more disgusting gooey impressions because everything is digital!) and they were even able to do same-day crowns for me!!! My experience with Redmond Modern Dentistry was great from the very start. I hadn't gone to the dentist in at least three years, and I knew that I was over due to for some serious work. I wasn't able to sleep through the night on Thursday due to tooth pain, booked my appointment online on Friday, and was seen on Monday. The kind staff even reached out to me before my appointment to see if I wanted to take an earlier time slot, which I appreciated. I was told that I could use their patient portal, Smile Generation MyChart, to do all of the paperwork before I arrived, and it made the process so much easier. I walked into the office to a warm greeting and had my x-rays done within minutes. Dr. Shah was AMAZING! He calmly talked me through the work that has to be done (two root canals and a number of cavities to be filled), and let me know that he was going to be there through my whole journey. The wonderful front desk staff handled figuring out my insurance, helped me through the pricing options, and scheduled my appointments to get everything taken care of. It made me know that I am in safe hands. Once all of this work is done, I will continue coming to this office to keep up on my dental health so I don't get myself into this situation again. read more

I have never been treated so well at a dentistry before. Dr. Shah is very gentle and detailed, with a overall whole care for you as a person and not a money bag. Hunter at the front desk tries very hard to satisfy and accommodate your little needs and treats patients so well, the whole staff is so friendly! Hunter is also very skilled with insurance and tells you about the prices upfront unlike a certain dentistry i went to.. (cough Gentle Dental, which they cancelled appointments on me without calling me and I'm ending up wasting my time and paid time off ). All work from extractions to crowns all under one roof. The staff work closely together and in a timely manner. I got a same day crown and was worked on immediately. I didnt have to wait around much besides when my same day crown was being baked. They also have the latest technology, no more hard xrays corners jamming in the back of your throat! Dr. Shah is also the owner of the dentistry, overall 10/10! I actually enjoyed going to the dentist yesterday (haha). Inside is very clean and "modern". They even have free masks in the front for you to take as these covid times are rough.
