The technician who assisted me was kind, professional, and attentive, but I waited nearly an hour in the chair without ever being seen by the dentist. I understand that offices can run behind, but no one communicated the extent of the delay, and I had another medical appointment I could not miss. When I informed the receptionist that I needed to leave, she attempted to charge my insurance for the X‑rays. I explained that although the X‑rays were taken, the dentist never saw me because the office was extremely behind schedule. Rather than acknowledging the situation, the receptionist became defensive, so I chose not to escalate the conversation. I stated that I would contact my insurance directly to clarify what occurred. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of follow‑up. I did not receive a phone call, voicemail, email, or text acknowledging the delay or offering to reschedule. Patients are often reminded that arriving late or missing an appointment may result in fees or rescheduling. In the same way, patients' time is valuable, and clear communication is essential. I want to emphasize that my concerns are not about the dentist himself, whom I respect, but about the management and scheduling process. A simple courtesy message acknowledging the inconvenience would have made a meaningful difference. I hope the office considers improving communication and time management so future patients do not experience similar issues.

Then the dr went back in my mouth trying to complete the task 3 MORE TIMES and each time, pausing and saying "yea it's not gonna work" and similar. Front desk said "we arent charging you an fee/deductible because we are LETTING them bill you for it, then called their "sister" property and after about 15 minutes I was told "if you get there by 12 noon then they can complete it today" and regretfully drove there and was immediately told, "no we said the earliest we could get you in to be seen is 1230pm" and that I would have to wait 2-4 hours in the waiting room and hope someone cancels. Absolutely embarrassing me being put in this situation. Gave me controlled script on a regular piece of people in which CVS laughed at it and needed the office to call in the script. I texted imagine and explained and they said "well everyone else doesn't have a problem with it" and I asked if the dr could call it in or do whatever is needed. Said they would tell the dr. Flash forward 25 hours and nothing. No follow up saying the dr couldn't call it in or anything. I went to my general DR and explained what happened and called in for some meds. I looked up AZ Max and they have been the biggest help ever. The straw that broke the camels back is they had the audacity to send me a bill of the extraction with no explanation. You think the Dr would have someone follow up with me since he KNEW he spent 2.5 hours on a failed tooth extraction and put me through hell and just brushed me off to some other facility. Glad he made sure to try and make me pay for what he FAILED to do and his front desk said there wouldn't be a charge in the first place.

I called this morning, promptly at 8 AM, and to my surprise I was able to get an appointment for 9:40 AM. I had read some not so good reviews about this place and also some very good reviews about this place so I came to get my tooth removed because of the pain. When I arrived, I was greeted with smiles and was taken in within 10 minutes to see the dentist. My tooth was extracted and I am very happy with the service I received from everyone. Everyone from the receptionist to the hygienist and the dentist himself were absolutely professional, kind, courteous, and had great personalities. I highly recommend anybody who's looking for a good dentist to come here.

I have had great experiences in the past, which makes this even more frustrating. My appointment was scheduled for 8:00 AM and I was not taken back until 8:30. I let the front desk know that I needed to leave by 9:00 AM to make it home for a meeting, yet the delay was not handled with any urgency. Starting an appointment that late, especially for an early morning time slot, feels unacceptable. The cleaning itself was extremely uncomfortable. The hygienist began using an electric pick and water was spraying everywhere. It was messy and unpleasant, so I asked him to stop. When he switched to manual tools, he claimed that Lisa used to do the electric cleaning as well, which simply is not true. Lisa was thorough, gentle, and professional, and my teeth always felt genuinely clean after her appointments. This time, my teeth do not even feel fully cleaned. The hygienist appeared very young and inexperienced and unfortunately came across as unprofessional and lacking basic knowledge and confidence. It was one of the most uncomfortable dental experiences I have had. I truly love Dr. Tol, which makes this decision difficult, but based on this experience, I will be finding a new dentist. I hope the practice takes this feedback seriously because it is clear that the level of care and professionalism has declined.

The quality of the service rapidly declined in recent years and culminated with Dr. Durisek leaving the practice. After seeing a new dentist at a different dental practice, I was informed that a failed filling was allowed to go for years without being brought to my attention for treatment. I lost all trust in Open Wide Dental. This office is also sorely lacking in modern dental technology.

The front and back office staff are A M A Z I N G. Super friendly & patient. The office exam rooms, waiting room and bathrooms are clean. Each exam room has a screen in which you can enjoy your fav Netflix series while getting dental work done. The dental chairs have back massagers and you are given headphones to help zone out the noises that come with getting dental work. Really felt like a spa treatment more than dental work.
