Pick any other optometrist and you won't regret your decision. These people are rude and unprofessional, but they've got plenty of parking!

I went to this doctor and the receptionist was rude and short, I had a tear in my corneas and they…read moresaid I had nothing wrong ended up having surgery and no, I did not have it with them. Worse place ever!!!!

I went here years ago and had a good experience with the previous doctor. We recently moved back to…read morethe area, so I made an appointment here again a couple of months ago. Went to get my contacts and saw the new doctor. The receptionist had an attitude and was very curt and short with me. The doctor's bedside manner left a lot to be desired. The receptionist, who also performed the contact exam (not the doctor!) made a rude comment about my age when I jokingly said I was too young for bifocals. I asked the doctor if I could get bifocals put into the frames I already had and he said I could, but he'd want me to get bigger frames. (Is HE wearing my glasses for me?) At checkout, the receptionist tried to charge me out of pocket price even though I have insurance and when I balked at the price she got mad and said "Well, you didn't give me your card." She hadn't asked for my card. I had filled out that I had insurance (my previous [out of state] doctor's receptionist had simply looked up the insurance information on her computer and I assumed since this one hadn't asked for it that she'd done the same) and she just huffed at me to give her my card. While waiting to leave, the doctor made disparaging remarks about the previous doctor to me and about optometrists in general since HE was an Opthamologist. He had also spoken very patronisingly to me because I didn't know much about opthamology. I'm an author and social scientist, not an eye doctor. Against my better judgement, I made an appointment for my husband about a month ago since it was on our insurance and a convenient drive. The receptionist again did all the preliminary tests and the contact exam (though we saw no credentials for her being trained to do so), then gave my husband an attitude because he didn't pop his contacts in fast enough for her even though they weren't busy at all. Needless to say, we won't be going back there.
