When I tried to return the contacts they refused saying it was their POLICY to not accept them after 3 months. The package says that they are good until 2031 I'm out $200! I didn't notice right away, but what I did see isn't good and after multiple occurrences I have to assume corporate is driving some inscrutable practices. WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS! On 3 occasions they have added a supposedly optional EYEWARE PROTECTION charge and never explained what it is or how to use it. We always decline it. We usually pay for our glasses out of our FSA account. When they stick on this protection it gets rejected by our FSA account and it causes our account to get frozen until we send a check to the account management to cover that charge. They have done this to us twice. This time after losing a pair of reading glasses I called and asked for replacements. I asked for exactly what I had on my previous visit. After not hearing for 3 weeks, I called and was told they weren't in yet and they would call me. They called me 20 minutes later saying, "They just came in today" I went and picked them up. I told the I was using my FSA card. When I got home I saw a $30 charge for the supposedly optional coverage that they didn't tell me they added, despite me telling them to duplicate my previous order which didn't have it. We have told them repeatedly the problem is causes so I didn't think to look till I got home, Fortunately they did void the entire bill and re-enter without the additional charge by phone. I'll see how this works out.

Recently I brought some office glasses for repair where a hinge broke. After a while the same side broke again. I called to follow up and learned I was still under warranty. Whomever I spoke with seemed to be kind as usual. I brought the eyewear in on Monday and was immediately put off by the person behind the counter doing whatever he was doing. He spoke rather dismissively telling me he would be with me momentarily without actually looking my way. After he continued doing whatever he was doing at the computer he asked me what I was there for. After getting my name and looking me up, there was a bit of confusion as to how my name was listed. Again this in itself was not an issue for me but his attitude was stone cold I "DON'T WANT TO HELP YOU!" Once he found me he looked at my eyewear and immediately said, "OH THIS BROKE WHERE THE PLASTIC IS, THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO TO FIX THESE". No customer service, empathy nor reasonable expression from one human being to another let alone a customer. This was all I could think about. Then he said, "I could bond them but I doubt it would last a day. Sorry!" It was a very sarcastic "sorry" - more like a f&^! you 'sorry.' It was at that moment I realized i needed to get outta there before I went beyond my own personal character. I took my frames home and added a little super glue to the point of breakage. I'm glad to say its been over 48 hours now and I've worked in them for some 22 hours since Monday without a problem. The glue is sturdy and I am satisfied with my own limited 'craftsmanship.' The fact that he didn't choose to make a fix for me is one thing. I find that disappointing in itself. But the fact that this man with a nasty ass attitude spoke to me like I was a worthless waste of his time has me rethinking whether I will ever seek out their services again. To reiterate, this was my first negative experience as opposed to the many times I've been there and received friendly service. I could imagine several reasons why this could be which I won't mention. One I will mention is I had just cut my grass before driving to the store on my lunch break. Perhaps he thought I was a hobo. But again, regardless, I am still seething when I think of how this person summarily dismissed a person who takes pride in spending money with good businesses. I was taught in the first grade not to judge a book by it's cover. I would have asked this person his name. But I was so put off even now I don't care.

Well these are glorified 400.00 reading glasses and the response in my opinion for a local eye doctor was pretty pathetic. I always try to shop local instead of big box but in this case big box out shined. Went to Americas Best. cleaned up Pickerington eyecare glasses for free. Still cloudy but buffed out the scuff for me. Will never use or refer to anyone ever again.

Waiting area: Clean. Organized. Cozy. Properly spaced for social distancing. Waited for about 3 minutes after check-in to be seen (mind you, I was also about 5 minutes late to my appointment - never underestimate Pickerington traffic!) Pre-exam imaging: normal exam (including the air in eye part). During this exam, I could overhear their team being extremely patient with a kiddo who was scared of the machines. I was impressed to hear the methods they used to calm the kiddo, build trust, and help the kiddos through their exam. I would say this place is kid friendly and they give lollipops post exam! With doctor: Dr. Pipo had a booming personality. He was energetic, kind, and really reviewed my case prior to examining me further. You know when docs ask "which is better? One or two?" And you can't tell the difference? He actually explained what the differences were while determining which corrections were needed for my eyes. Post exam: Laura (specialist) helped me with selecting my glasses. I told her the style I typically like and she brought ~10 pairs to try (which all met my preference along with a few fun frames). She helped me narrow the frames down and was extremely patient with me. 30-mins later, I picked the frames that we both agreed- totally matched me and my personality. After selecting the frames she helped me to assess the appropriate additions to make for my lenses and explain insurance coverage. Jessica (front desk) helped me with selecting the appropriate contacts covered by insurance. Overall- Fantastic staff. Fantastic facility. I look forward to meeting my new frames and going back again for my annual in 2022.

Best eye doctor ever…read more I heart Dr. Eric and his wife Debbie, who acts as receptionist, scheduler, contact orderer, money collector, insurance liaison, and provider of honest opinions on glasses selection. It is just the two of them in a little office that is easy to get to in UA. Dr. Eric is a great eye doctor, quick and thorough- I like that he doesn't give you an increased prescription just because you might need it, he'd rather err on the side of not making your eyes worse. The office is easy to make appointments at, very easy to reorder contacts, and Debbie seems to be able to get a lot of bang for your buck on eye insurance. It is just overall a pleasant experience.

For once a medical appointment that I don't have to deal with during working hours!! I have to say, the minute we started going to this business, it was like a breath of fresh air. No pressure from Dr. Hartig on wanting me to purchase bifocals or progressives (although I know they would be beneficial but I've been refusing to commit). He simply tells me he fully supports my decision, regardless. He is always so kind and personable, and gives me sound advice along with some interesting educational trivia about my eyeballs. The prices here are also so much better than our old optometrist. There are perks at this location that I am told are included in our insurance, but at our old spot they were charging us extra. The selection in eyeglasses is quite grand as well. The staff are very helpful (and honest when giving their opinions on frames, which is much appreciated). We have no plans to go anywhere else for our vision needs!
