For once a medical appointment that I don't have to deal with during working hours!! I have to say, the minute we started going to this business, it was like a breath of fresh air. No pressure from Dr. Hartig on wanting me to purchase bifocals or progressives (although I know they would be beneficial but I've been refusing to commit). He simply tells me he fully supports my decision, regardless. He is always so kind and personable, and gives me sound advice along with some interesting educational trivia about my eyeballs. The prices here are also so much better than our old optometrist. There are perks at this location that I am told are included in our insurance, but at our old spot they were charging us extra. The selection in eyeglasses is quite grand as well. The staff are very helpful (and honest when giving their opinions on frames, which is much appreciated). We have no plans to go anywhere else for our vision needs!

Something they had in their computer. My most recent pair of glasses are less than a year old. They wanted to charge me $15 to just print it off for me. The office manager was rude. Patient loyalty obviously means nothing. I could understand if I wasn't a patient or it had been several years since I had gotten glasses. They have lost my family's business.

Dr. Perry - Thank you!…read more I've had 3 eye doctors and a neuro ophthalmologist since I started wearing glasses when I was 11. For the past 17 years I've known I had a "blind spot" in my right eye caused by scar tissue, for the past 5 years I've know I have astigmatism in my right eye, and through all of that time my vision in my right eye has been blurry and hard to live with. I've told multiple eye doctors this only to be met with "everything looks fine." After 15 minutes of tests and reviewing scans, Dr. Perry diagnosed me with Pellucid Marginal Degeneration, which makes all of the issues I've had with my right eye finally make sense. And for the first time in 17 years I'm confident I'll be able to see more clearly. And soon. So, thank you for listening to my issues and hearing me. I called to see if he was accepting new patients and if so when I could get in. They scheduled me for the first available appointment that they had but was still almost 2 weeks out, but I understood. The next day, Dr. Lehman calls me, himself, and asked me about my headaches and said why don't we get you in on an emergency visit and I got in later that day. He gave me a extensive exam and not only told me that I was in need of glasses, he proved it to me by showing me what things would look like with corrective lens. This place completely impressed me. Well these are glorified 400.00 reading glasses and the response in my opinion for a local eye doctor was pretty pathetic. I always try to shop local instead of big box but in this case big box out shined. Went to Americas Best. cleaned up Pickerington eyecare glasses for free. Still cloudy but buffed out the scuff for me. Will never use or refer to anyone ever again.

Waiting area: Clean. Organized. Cozy. Properly spaced for social distancing. Waited for about 3 minutes after check-in to be seen (mind you, I was also about 5 minutes late to my appointment - never underestimate Pickerington traffic!) Pre-exam imaging: normal exam (including the air in eye part). During this exam, I could overhear their team being extremely patient with a kiddo who was scared of the machines. I was impressed to hear the methods they used to calm the kiddo, build trust, and help the kiddos through their exam. I would say this place is kid friendly and they give lollipops post exam! With doctor: Dr. Pipo had a booming personality. He was energetic, kind, and really reviewed my case prior to examining me further. You know when docs ask "which is better? One or two?" And you can't tell the difference? He actually explained what the differences were while determining which corrections were needed for my eyes. Post exam: Laura (specialist) helped me with selecting my glasses. I told her the style I typically like and she brought ~10 pairs to try (which all met my preference along with a few fun frames). She helped me narrow the frames down and was extremely patient with me. 30-mins later, I picked the frames that we both agreed- totally matched me and my personality. After selecting the frames she helped me to assess the appropriate additions to make for my lenses and explain insurance coverage. Jessica (front desk) helped me with selecting the appropriate contacts covered by insurance. Overall- Fantastic staff. Fantastic facility. I look forward to meeting my new frames and going back again for my annual in 2022.

Cam was super nice, unlike some other businesses staffs, you tell them you have a budget and they like nah...no, you not spending money here, move on. You know what I mean? But not here. Met with Dr. Cynthia, very nice lady, she explained to me every details about my eyes, and what I need. Once again I feel very comfortable ask her any questions I had in mind. After the visited, I went out and pick out the frame I like, they have to order it for me. Now I don't know how Columbus work, they told me it will take a week and the half. I'm like wa???? Week and the half? Where is it coming from? Cam (staff) told me is from Cincinnati. That's it??? I clearly explained I I want my old frames to be filled with the new frame's script .. Needless to say the old fram did not match the new script-- $350 + an additional 2 weeks to wait Apologies issued but my time , money and expectations were it met !
