They don't care about their customers at all!!!! The flight was delayed over 2 hours and we weren't notified in advance. Arrived an hour and half early for our flight and it wasn't listed as outgoing. I thought I made a mistake!! I also learned that TSA closes at 8PM. I was stuck at the airport since I did not have a choice to leave and come back! My friend has a 5AM flight the next morning, so we asked/begged the flight attendants to let her carry on her bag since they were plenty of overhead space, BUT they forced her to check her luggage. This is the worst experience I have ever had with Alaska. I cannot believe how much their customer service has declined!! Very disappointed in this airlines and will not be using them read more

Alaska Airlines continues to decline. Purchased First Class tickets, international, and they wanted a fee for use of their lounge. I switched my mileage card and primary carrier to United and every time I fly Alaska I am reminded why. read more

Ok, so I have never flown Alaska before but so far I'm impressed. Both flights were very comfortable and the air staff was very friendly and attentive. The longer flight offers two rounds of nonalcoholic drinks and snacks. You can preorder food for the longer flight too. They have inflight snacks you can purchase if you didn't preorder food. The airplane had 3 restrooms on the back for commoners and 2 at the front for royalty. That's it. Will flight with them again read more

I had an excellent experience with Alaska Airlines. I am writing this review for two Alaska Airlines employees at the Redmond Airport in Oregon: Joshua and a very nice lady which I did not get her name. We had to use the wheelchair service at the airport for my mom and the lady assisted my mom to get through TSA and to the terminal. She made our experience hassle free and getting through security was a breeze. Once we arrived at the terminal, Joshua took exceptional care of my mom and I for our departing flight back to SFO. It was not a full flight so he was able to move our seats closer to the front of the plane to make it easier for my mom. He did everything he could to accommodate my moms limitations which was a relief since traveling is stressful. When it was time to board the plane, the lady assisted my mom by pushing her wheelchair up the steep ramp to the plane. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Alaska Airlines for making our experience a great one. read more

I have encountered more delays and issues flying on Alaska out of Redmond than I thought possible. The staff are pretty nice (for the most part) but in the fall through spring I would advise you to check flight status online before heading into the airport. read more

After all these years, Alaska/Horizon Airlines is still my favorite airline. It's my first choice overall, but it's by FAR the best choice going out of RDM. I always fly Alaska on my short trips to Portland or Seattle, and whenever possible I will take them going elsewhere too. They have the kindest employees. It makes me feel like this is something that's genuinely important to them when hiring and training. So much so that they really stand out with their customer service in comparison to other airlines, and that is something that's very important to me. I've yet to have any issues flying with Alaska... occasionally a delay but that's not always a bad thing, I'd rather be safe when it comes to weather and uncontrollable things like that. Otherwise, not a single complaint or problem I've had comes to mind. I sincerely recommend trying to fly with them, if you have the flexibility to base your decision on the airline and not only on times or price, though they generally end up being the best in those departments too (which is why I ended up flying with them in the first place). Bought ticket in January all book to pick up a Bengal kitten in Bend Oregon. San Jose to Bend and Back. Get to the airport at 4:30am (San Jose) show agent my reservation and she says the flight no longer exists.. Nobody called you? Nope. After an hour of telling them how an acceptable this is the decide to uber me to SFO at 100 miles an hour. Get there five minutes to spare at the gate, wont let me on some glitch? Finally put me on the plane after holding it up. I get to Bend and go to pay for the carrier for the cat and get my boarding pass and the flight doesn't exist.. So now a five hour layover and instead of flying me back to San Jose they fly me back to San Francisco where I have no ride.. And I paid for first class on the last leg.. The girl at the counter says this is really bad I should call customer care and gives me a number. I call its a recording and they say to leave my number. 1 hour later they call me back, I explain the entire ordeal and the woman tells me I should call customer care.. She said they must have been so busy they transferred the call over to reservations. I thank god they didn't make me walk and take my money.. Complete chaos !!!!!!!!! read more

4 Flight rebooking from Alaska Airlines and now saying we can't make it until 2 DAYS later. No remorse, no compensation, nothing. They blame the weather except that our ORIGINAL flight was cancelled and we were then rebooked on a flight that was canceled due to weather. Delta will rebook you due to weather. Spent over 4 hours on the phone and now I'm also out $600 worth of all inclusive resort costs as well. Who cares that our 2 year old is traveling with us. I will NEVER fly Alaska airlines again! read more

STAY AWAY from booking with these yahoos if there is any weather event. Their decision making is just garbage. If you like wasting DAYS of your life, this is the airline for you. From still sending planes when they KNOW we are fogged in, to not sending planes for 6 DAYS while the rest of their competitors are flying during the light smoke days. We've been working this airport for 10 years and Alaska has been horrible through EVERY weather event. Worst airline that services RDM to PDX or SEA. Check Flight View for late or cancelled flights to/from RDM to either of the above. All other airlines fly in inclement weather. Alaska has the worst record of any other airline. WHY? The pilots who fly the puddle jumper routes aren't qualified. That's why. Alaska sucks!!!! read more

Horizon operates under the aegis of Alaska for very short flights to places like PDX and Seatac. The flight to PDX is super fast, even though it is on one of the tinier turbo-props which are a bit bumpy and noisy. The bathrooms on these planes only have hand-sanitizer, which is a bit questionable. Another issue I noticed is that the pre-boarding basically includes every passenger. This made it more difficult than usual for us to get our baby on the plane. I couldn't believe that we were being jostled by these yahoos with "elite status" at the gate. I think they should give a few seconds head start for the babies! The ticket agent was very friendly, however, as was the flight crew. If you want the "Wings" experience without the laughtrack, Horizon is an ok option! read more

I've been an Alaska airlines customer since the late 1980's. While I've tried other airlines to fly the western United States, nothing can match their service, on-time flights and of course customer service. Know that I live in the Northwest, Alaska is my go to airlines. I've recently flown to Washington D.C and Austin Texas. The most recent flight was on an Airbus, with comfortable seats and enough leg room. I always try to purchase the premium seats for comfort reasons. The employee's and crew members are always very helpful and polite. I've read the negative reviews and have to say that I've never had any of those occurrences in the last two years. read more

Alaska Airlines went above and beyond booking a reservation for us on short notice to get us home. My husband recently had two surgeries and is in a straight leg brace with a walker. He needs a bulk head seat (all were taken) a wheelchair and we are traveling with our dog. Our agent was kind, helpful and very efficient at helping meet all of our needs including one we hadn't thought of. We always fly Alaska whenever possible. read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE - CANCELLED AND DELAYED FLIGHTS RAMPANT. I NEVER THOUGHT IS WOULD SAY I WOULD FLY UNITED OVER ANOTHER AIRLINE... BUT... Continued problems with Alaska Airlines flights from Portland to Redmond. My husband and I have had the majority of our flights delayed due to Alaska "crew" and "mechanical" issues. We have also had problems with our flights from Los Angeles to Portland - delayed or cancelled. While we have paid extra to get from Portland to Bend earlier in the evening, we have not been refunded to the extra fees for the earlier flight. They also lost my baggage to Redmond tonight. No one at the RDM counter to help - Waited 30 minutes on the phone with Alaska - only to get a recording saying to go in person to the counter (where there was no one). Then was on the phone again to Seattle customer service Tandy - then to supervisor Farah who said I had to fill out a form and they could not send it to me - I would have to go to airport or find it online. Farah also said the could not refund the difference in my flight costs since Alaska has no way of knowing their flight fees at the time of my booking. Just spent over 2 /12 hours trying to find my bag - NO help. Alaska also not taking responsibility for fare difference on cancelling our Friday flight and rebooking on a later cheaper flight. read more

Think you'll get good service at a small town airport by Horizon? Think again. I showed up with my wife and 3 small children, 37 minutes prior to the flight, and they (Jason and Laurie) refused to take our bags. You have to arrive 40 minutes before now (used to be 30) telling us that we would have to split up the family and someone would have to fly with the bags. There was NO ONE else in line or even in the terminal. No one. And these 2 standing there with nothing to do, refused to take the bags. Laurie was particularly cold and unhelpful. Further, instead of holding the last seat on the next flight, it was sold while we tried to convince them to take our bags. We needed to fly out yesterday as our son was starting school today. I decided to leave the bags for a friend to ship to me. BUT THEY DIDN'T ISSUE ME A SEAT, PUT ME ON STANDBY, AND DIDN'T LET ME ON THE PLANE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. THANK YOU "ONLY LAURIE AT REDMOND AIRPORT" - wouldn't give me her last name. So, the upshot was that I ended up saying goodbye to my family. My wife went home with our 3 kids and I spent the night in Oregon. I boarded the next available flight - a 6am flight home. I BUY 5 TICKETS EVERY TIME WE FLY. I HAVE SURELY SPENT OVER $100,000 IN THE LAST 8 YEARS FLYING ALASKA/HORIZON - POSSIBLY MUCH MORE. NEVER AGAIN. read more
