However, I wished he had Googled reviews on them; because they are not kind. The week before we were to leave, he received a call indicating the hot tub would not work. They didn't offer to reimburse for the false advertisement; and indicated they would think about it. But never call to say one or the other. Another friend of mine rented a vacation place in Sunriver and received a similar call, but with a $100 reimbursement. This place did not. On the first night we got there, I was the second party of many to arrived noticed the place was decent. Nothing glamorous or spotless, it was simply there. Since we arrived late in the night, we made dinner. When I went to use the microwave, it didn't have a handle. You can see the only way to open it is to pull the section in which the handle used to be. Daily, everyone left to hike and snowboard during the three day weekend. We cleaned the place after each usage. We hung out at the home playing board games we brought. Nothing insanely crazy to cause any damages to the house. When we came back to Portland, my friend received an angry phone call. He indicated the lady screamed at him and sent him pictures of damages done to the house: the missing microwave handle, a hole in the wall never a doorway, and an uncleaned section of the wall next to the toilet. My friends and I were all shocked at these accusation, since we didn't do or caused them. None of us caused them, yet they indicated we did. Ironically, the pictures were of the house, but they didn't match the items currently in the house. For instance, the picture with the hole in the wall had a rug reflected in the glass panel, but I remembered there were two rugs in the same spot, which seemed fishy. As for the microwave handle, it wasdefinitely broken before we arrived. The plastic seems worn out, something that would take months to shown the run down, chipped plastic; not an indicident only 2-3 days off. This rental property has been nothing but poor and forgettable. I don't recommend anyone renting from them. Very unprofessional and a $300 bill in addition to the rental to show for it. The house is called, "Three Pine Lodge".

Please read them and save yourself the heartache many of us have experienced with this rental company. READ THE FILTERED COMMENTS TOO. My family and I decided to stay at the "Georgia Peach" over Thanksgiving. The house was lovely, but working with the rental company was an absolute nightmare. I would highly suggest you find another rental company for your stay in Bend. I booked the rental on 11/9 and was overcharged right away. The refund took 6 days to be returned to me. When we left the property we had washed the dishes, cleaned up the rooms and put a load of towels in the washing machine as stated on our contract. I got a phone call Friday, when I got home that two towels were missing from the property. Because I was traveling with my sisters family I told the woman I would call my sister and see if the towels were in her luggage and call her right back. My sister did not have the towels in her luggage, so I called the woman back and left a voicemail. I also sent an email confirming that my sister had put a load of towels in the washing machine and these towels must be with the others. I did not hear anything back from the rental company. Sunday I logged into my bank account to balance my checkbook and noticed I'd been charged $95 from the rental company. I called and got no answer so I sent an email stating that I wanted to know why I was charged, I felt it was inappropriate to debit my account without first alerting me to a problem. I got a call from the rental company later in the day. The woman told me that FOUR towels were missing and a red blanket. I told her we did not have the towels and we never saw a red blanket in the living room the entire time we were there. I asked her to have her manager please call me on Monday. The manager called me at 1:15pm Monday and right from the start, I feel, was very abrupt and rude on the phone. She interrupted me multiple times and would not give me straight answers to my questions. She went from making a confusing situation, maddening. And I find it suspicious Friday afternoon we were told it was two towels, and then Sunday we were told it was four towels and a blanket. I tried to speak with her about this, but she interrupted me and said, "I've been doing this for 9 years, and no one EVER has the stuff that is missing" and cut me off. I also think you should also read her comments posted on yelp. At this point, there are 14 reviews on Yelp and 9 of them are either 1 or 2 stars all stating the same (or similar) issues. This is not a fluke; I am not the only one that this has happened to. Please do not let it happen to yourself.

I rarely write negative reviews. If I have a bad experience I usually choose to stay silent about…read moreit but this one really bugged me. My friends and I (3 couples) stayed at one of their Palm Springs homes over Labor Day weekend and actually had a good time for most of the stay. But a couple of things happened that are causing me to write this review. 1. Upon arrival the house was over 90 degrees. I completely understand that Palm Springs is extremely hot and that homes need time to cool down. But I would expect that a company renting out a vacation home in the desert would think to turn on the AC well in advance of their guests' arrival. While the AC actually was on when we got there, it took about 11 hours for it to cool down to 78 degrees. The Arrived agent that met us at the house told us that it was an older AC system and that it would take some time to cool down, but 11 hours?? And that seems like even more reason to make sure the system is turned on well in advance. The excuse we were given was that they were very busy that day and that no one was able to turn it on earlier. 2. During the last night of our stay there was a thunderstorm that resulted in a leak in the ceiling in one of the bedrooms as well as the guest bathroom. The couple that was staying in that bedroom had to move to the couch (at 2am) and deal with some of their belongings getting essentially rained on. When I reported this to Arrived and asked if there would be any sort of reimbursement the response was "while we are sorry you were inconvenienced, we will not be compensating at this time as it was out of our control". I get that a storm is a force of nature and I was not anticipating a full reimbursement for our stay, but even a small amount of compensation for the inconvenience would have been nice. A few dollars for the dry cleaning of the clothes that got wet, credit or a discount for a future stay, any sort of gesture as a token of appreciation for our business. Nothing was offered and I found the treatment of the situation to be overall very casual and as if they just wanted to be done with us. I gave two stars here because the house was in good condition and the Airbnb listing was accurate so I can't fault them for that. But for customer service, maybe 1 star. The greeting agent was nice. Otherwise, not a great experience.

We recently rented an Arrived-managed home in Sunriver for a two-night staycation... Friday and…read moreSaturday night. Our total cost was right around $1,100, including roughly $300 in cleaning fees. Unfortunately, the way Arrived handled our check-in -- and more importantly, the way they handled it afterward -- left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Prior to our stay, we asked about an early check-in and were told no because guests were checking out Friday morning. Fair enough... checkout is 11:00 and check-in is 4:00, and obviously the house needs to be cleaned. We arrived a little after 3:00, not expecting to get into the house, but simply to leave our truck and unload our bikes and scooters before heading out. The cleaners didn't even arrive until about 3:20. This is a four-bedroom, three-bath house... there was obviously no way it was going to be properly cleaned and ready in the 40 minutes remaining before our 4:00 check-in. We came back around 4:30-4:45 and found the cleaners sitting on the front porch. They had accidentally locked the key inside the house... along with one of their phones. So now we had to wait for someone from Arrived to come with another key. Once they finally got the cleaners back inside, Arrived then left with the spare key to have a copy made... which meant we had to stay put until they returned because the house couldn't be secured with our belongings inside. Mistakes happen... I understand that. What bothered me more was Arrived's response when I called about it. They tried to minimize the whole thing as only being a couple hours of inconvenience and initially offered a $50 refund. A couple hours may not sound significant to a management company... but when you've paid $1,100 for a TWO-NIGHT stay, losing a chunk of your first afternoon/evening because the house wasn't ready and the cleaning crew locked themselves out is significant. I told them I thought $200 was a reasonable adjustment. They responded that the nightly rental rate was only around $200, apparently ignoring the fact that my actual transaction with them was approximately $1,100. I even suggested that $100 of the adjustment could come from the roughly $300 cleaning fee since the cleaning/check-in process was the source of the problem. Their final answer was $100. And they knew I wasn't satisfied with that. For me, this isn't really about another $100... it's about how a company responds when something goes wrong. Had Arrived simply acknowledged that this was a lousy way to begin a very short stay and made a meaningful effort to make it right, I probably wouldn't be writing this review. Instead, I felt like they minimized the inconvenience and did the least they could do to put the issue behind them. The house itself was fine and we enjoyed our time in Sunriver once we finally got settled... but based on how Arrived handled the problem, I would be very hesitant to rent another property managed by them. When you're paying these kinds of fees for a short-term rental, the management and service are part of what you're paying for... especially when nearly $300 of the bill is a cleaning fee.
