I have dropped off three new pairs of slacks to this dry cleaner to get them cleaned and pressed. I have asked the clerk to ensure that they do not put creases in the front of my linen pants. I noticed on the receipts of drop-off that the clerk put the information of the customer's requests as no starch, instead of no crease. I called the next day to confirm that it was not no starch, but I wanted no crease. A few weeks later, I returned to pick up the pants, the front clerk told me to check the items before leaving. When I checked at the time, I did not notice, but when I came home, I saw THEY HAD PUT A CREASE ON THE SIDE OF ALL THREE PANTS!! Additionally, one of the pants had small grease spots on the bottom of the leg. The pants were brand new with the tags still on them. I have told the clerk about the stain on the new pair of pants; however, it seemed like she did not understand my issue. She gave no responses. I've exhausted all my patience with this drycleaner after several incidents similar to this. I wish I could just rely on the professionalism of the work. read more

I've lived here and used this location for 4 years now. Over this time, they've always done an excellent job on my items, to include military uniforms as well as bulky items like down comforters. I work downtown so their location is convenient. I have been using them for almost 15 years. They have always done a great job except for a couple of lost shirts years ago. But I still go there. Parking could be better. Their employees should park elsewhere. Then there would be room for customers. read more

I have been taking my clothes to Alaska Cleaners for years. I started when they had a location on Huffman then they closed that location and started using the Fireweed location, then they closed that location and took my clothes to their downtown location. They had one employee that was always friendly, knew the customers names and went above and beyond to create an amazing experience, they moved her to their Don Dee location and I followed. Everything was great until..... who knows what and she left. Two weeks later someone realized how valuable she was to the company and she came back. Shortly after that she was gone again.... since her departure, the level of service is horrible!! Every Sunday I drop off my clothes at the Don Dee location and pick up clothes from the prior week. I went to Don Dee yesterday, July 18, 2021 to pick up and drop off clothes. The young lady there informed me that the "driver" did not bring my clothes from their downtown location. I asked why due to the email notifications the I received stating my clothes and comforter was ready to be picked up. She has no answer, picked up her phone looked at it, put it down and walked away from the counter and started folding clothes; however I was still standing at the counter waiting for some sort of resolution. I informed her that I was leaving in the morning and needed some of the items in my order. She stated she didn't know what I wanted her to do, I asked her to call a manager or one of the owners, that's the least she could do seeing that my barrage cleaning is $50-60 a week...she did nothing!! After standing at the counter for a minute or two, it became very clear that she was done and moved on to something else. I gathered my Alaska Cleaners drop off bag and left. I realize that they too may be struggling with finding employees, however, if that is the case maybe one of the owners should be helping and educate their employees that it is the repeat customer that sustain the business!! After doing business with the cleaner, I will be finding a business who not only care about their customers, but has people working in their business that does not treat the customers like they are doing the customers a favor! If it was not for customers, the employees would not have a job! And the $@?! continues....I called the downtown location to speak to a manager/supervisor or anyone who can FIX the problem; however when I asked to speak to someone, the young lady who answered the phone was not very cooperative. First she said she was the person who runs the front counter so I clarified if she was a manager or supervisor, she finally said no and I proceeded to explain that I did not want to have to keep repeating the concerns which is why I asked for a supervisor. During the call I recognized her voice and asked was she the young lady from Don Dees yesterday, she said, "yes." I proceeded with.. you are the person I have the complaint with, which is even more the reason I would like to speak to a supervisor......conversation didn't go well and to make a long story short, why would an owner of a business not reach out to their customer and only speak to the individual who was working at Don Dees to ensure they are getting all the information? I guess Alaska Cleaners is just overflowing with business that they don't care if they lose a customer here or there!! Then to make matters worse, I wore a sweater vest that they cleaned and I had only worn once, they snagged it! read more

This company drops off my dry cleaning at my house! I'm always on the go with work, there are multiple locations to drop off my dirty clothes at and then end back up at my house! My clothes always look great and I've never had a problem. read more

Horrible customer service! I dropped off 2 items for our church on Tuesday afternoon to be picked up on Thursday afternoon after 5:00p. On Friday I went to go pick up my items and was told they "could not find them". We used to have a delivery service, however, have used the drop-off/pick up for the last 3 occasions during the last year. I was told to drive downtown because the items were never returned to the Minnesota location. I stopped by the church to see if by chance they were delivered, which they were not. I went downtown, arriving 5 minutes before closing. As I walked in the door I was told they were closed as she could not help me. I explained that I was sent there from their other store because my items were unable to be located, and they were needed for this weekend. She said that she never received them, as she had not detailed any white pastor robes and that I needed to return to the other store and "make them look through their dirty clothes, or I could". I was pretty insistent that they had received them and finally she called another employee that stated that she had detailed them on Wednesday. She thought maybe they were sent out for delivery. At my urging, she finally called the delivery driver. I was told he was already at home. She did not inquire as to whether or not he delivered anything to our church. She said that there was another route driver but she didn't know the guy's name or number. In the meantime, she had received 2 personal phone calls and obviously wanted to leave. I was told to come back Monday. I explained that would not work as they were needed for Sunday. I was told that was my only option. I asked for someone that I could talk to so that the order could be found before Sunday, and was given a bad email address. HORRIBLE!! read more

I have been so impressed with the quality and value. My coat had a stain on it from traveling and when it was returned it was perfect! Plus it didn't have that chemical dry clean smell to it. We have had comforters laundered and they came back perfect! I will continue to use your service! Thanks to you for the wonderful service we get each week!! These folks returned the wrong uniform pants. They ignored me when I came to the store to resolve, the owner hid in the back. Twice. They ignored a BBB inquiry. They ignored my letters. Cost me a new pair of pants and tailoring. $50.00 I had my name label on my pants as well! Got some else with some else pants with thier name on them! A DEC check of sites on line at www.state.ak.us shows they have dry cleaning solvent in the ground under and around the building. Not good customer service, not good citizens. Not recommended. I tried a few different dry cleaners around town and was pretty unhappy until I found Alaska Cleaners. I used them at least once a week for over a year while I lived in Anchorage and was always satisfied. Quick turn-around, and everything always came out right. Highly recommended. read more
