I have to admit that I was a little shocked when they requested a 100% deposit ($4500) 10 months in…read moreadvance. but, I called them up about 1 week ahead of the two tours we booked, Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks and they were right on top of it. They called me back a day in advance to review arrival times, the itinerary, and what we needed for clothes, food, etc. We arrived a little early and offered coffee or spring water and a very comfortable seating area after we checked in. Our first day we were flown in a 10 seater for about 2 hours to a village called King Salmon, I believe where we were transferred to a 10 seater pontoon boat that flew us to the Brooks area of Katmai. it was a spectacular day of watching the bears feeding off the salmon at the falls. After spending much of the day exploring the park and taking a cultural tour we were flown back to Anchorage. The pilot was extremely knowledgeable of the history, geology, and geography of the flight and made a deviation to circle the volcano crater of Mt Spur. The next we arrived again and then escorted to another building where we watched a film on bear safety and then fitted with water proof boots for walking thru the waters to view the bears. we were flown in a smaller 6 seater plane (just 5 passenger) to Katmai NP where we watched bears digging for clams in several locations. A most excellent lunch box with our choice of a sandwich, granola bar, assorted chips, apple, and a tasty pasta salad and beverage was provided. At the end of our tour, we were flown back to Anchorage. The staff including Anna-Lynn, both pilots, Dan & Abel were all super customer service oriented (something sorely missed to frequently these days). I obviously can't say enough positives about this operation.

Booked the glacier full day trekking tour and had Billy as my guide and couldn't have had a better…read moreexperience! Everything about dealing with this company was a breeze! I booked the day before, the morning of the owner texted me to confirm that I would be picked up at my Airbnb, Billy texted me notifying me when he was on his way. He was kind, responsive, full of information, considerate, and willing to tailor the speed and details to the needs of the group. He truly made this trip enjoyable. Van ride to the glacier is about 100 miles, we stopped at a gas station about half way. We stopped twice for two photo opportunities, and then made our way to the glacier gift shop to sign waivers. Then drove down to the launch point of the trek. There are ample bathrooms down there. Billy did not accompany us on the glacier but that was okay, our guide at the glacier was super sweet and knowledgeable. I felt more than safe! You walk across a floating bridge to get your microspikes and then we spent about 2-2.5 hours trekking the glacier. You do spend most of the hike on the rocky surface, but we did a pretty steep climb on the blue ice to get to the top of our area, we drank glacier water (amazing) and then saw the base of the glacier which was stunning. Post trek we returned to the tent and met up with Billy, he had snacks waiting for us and then drove us up to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we made the drive back, and again Billy was willing to accommodate different drop off points.

We had such a WONDERFUL day dog sledding with our guide Lori…read more Our day started with getting picked up at our hotel in downtown Anchorage. Hotel pickup was super helpful since we didn't rent a vehicle. Lori made a bathroom/coffee stop 45 minutes into the drive. We stopped at a local coffee shop which was so thoughtful instead of stopping at your typical gas station. Afterwards we arrived at our destination for the dog sled tour. We went during the winter and it gets very cold when you are moving on the sled! We are from Arizona so we didn't have snow boots or other items on hand. Luckily snow shoes, heavy gloves, beanies, etc were provided for us to change into so that we stayed nice and warm on the sled. We were paired up and got the chance to sit down and ride in the front of the sled which was perfect for taking videos and pictures. And the other person had the chance to stand up at the back of the sled. We warmed up with a delicious lunch at a nearby lodge and made our way back to Anchorage. Overall, we had such a great day thanks to Lori and the dog mushers. It was truly a one of a kind experience! Highly recommend 907 Tours.

The owner, Russ, was very accommodating and set me up for a tour starting only two hours later. Eventually the group grew to three people and Russ picked us up at the Hilton promptly at 11. This was exactly what I was looking for. I spent a very enjoyable four hours with Russ, who grew up in Alaska and who knows the state backwards and forwards. Russ has a great deal of civic pride as well! Russ gave us a comprehensive look at the after-effects of the big earthquake during the 60s, where entire homes were moved up to two or three city blocks! The ground shifted so much it made a once perfectly flat neighborhood into a neighborhood with lots of hills! Russ has a sharp eye for wildlife, and besides mountain goats and sheep, we actually got to see a moose! Ross absolutely loves his home state, and you will learn a lot driving around with him. And have a pretty good time doing it, as well!

On today's tour I learned that 99 million gallons of water flow under Matanuska Glacier each day; Glacial water comes out of her at 28 degrees & can freeze at 29 degrees; she is moving 12-16 inches a day(normal is 10 inches)and that a loud Popcorn sound IS never a good sound! His dock was located just behind and to the left the hotel address listed. We took off from the lake and had a wonderful flight over to PWS, landing in PWS for a bit on the shore. Took Alaska Air Taxi from ANC to SOV (instead of ANC-HOM and HOM-SOV) a few years back. We had a…read morescheduled flight time, but when we arrived we were told that there was a delay. We were not given much info beyond that however. First we were told that we were waiting for other passengers (who never showed up), then we were told we were waiting on the pilot (yet he had been there for over an hour drinking coffee and reading a newspaper before leaving and later returning). We were given no ETD and waited for several hours. We missed dinner with our hosts and it made an already long travel day even longer. As nice as it would be to be able to get directly from ANC to SOV, I would never depend on this service.

Steve runs flight seeing and charter services from Anchorage to designated locations. We took his…read morefloat plane to Brooks Camp to watch bears catching salmon. He picked us up from our hotel and we flew for about 2.5 hours to destination. En route to Brooks Camp, he narrated the coast line, volcanoes, and the lakes and rivers underneath. Once we get there, he accompanied us to the viewing platform and then waited for us to return. He provided us home-made king salmon salad and several snack for lunch. On our way back, he took a different route over Lake Clarks and the valley with glaciers on both sides. We saw rivers with spawning salmons, bears and caribous wandering on grasslands. The flight was entertaining and safe. Steve was very knowledgeable about the area and told us many stories. We truly enjoyed the trip with him.
