They offer free rewashes and vouchers if you don't have time. Money well spent, I rather have a scratch free car then going to udsy almon and have my paint scratched off. ALW has friendly attendants that are always on standby from 8am to 8pm. If I could give -5 stars, I would no matter how much you spend on getting your car/truck washed there weather it's the cheaper 12$ or 25$ wash it never comes clean (even if u pre scrub it with there dirty wand), I've washed my 07 wrk truck and my brand new 23 suv i just bought a month ago and every time I've washed both they've come out terrible and with grimy dirt streaks. Also the tail gates never come clean on either which is frustrating when you spend 25$ on a double wash and a wax.. I am so hoping all these new car washes they're building around town this summer will run them out of business for being such a RIP OFF.... Oh 1 more thing good times good luck ever finding a manager to help you they never seem to be there when your car comes out lookin like crap. After our last visit, I can't say we'll be back to this location any time soon. My fiancé just spent his first winter in anchorage, and wanted to wash his car now that everything had thawed out. I suggested the laser wash as I've had good experiences there before. We went, and took his car through. The whole time the water pressure didn't seem particularly strong, it seemed like the process was missing entire steps, and the instructional screen was not working by the end. We sat and waited for it to tell us to go, so long that the dryers had run their timer out, despite the screen working just fine when we were driving in. So we left with a wet car, and lo and behold, a dirty car. This laser wash had not even gotten the dust off of the car, let alone any more serious dirt and grime. read more

I've taken my truck to the 5th Ave location on two occasions and each time underlying grime wasn't removed. I tried to contact management about the situation and never heard back from them. Better to wash your car with soap and sponge than to waste your time and money here. Alaska Laser Wash has multiple lanes to keep things flowing, which always makes me happy. There are buckets of soapy water with brushes at the payment kiosk in each lane, so I like to do a quick pre-scrub before I go through. This is the car wash game changer for me because my car always comes out looking fresh if I use the brush. Not to mention free vacuums at the end! read more

After paying for the most expensive ($18) option, there was still visible dusty areas on my car. The shampooing portion left behind little "dish spots" all over the car. It all needed to be buffed out by and when finished. It was about 70% clean when finished. Other feedback on the experience: since it is all automated, you need to pay careful attention to the signs. There is a voice that also gives you commands, but it's hard to hear when the machinery is operating and your windows are rolled up. The last phase, drying, isn't clear because you pull forward past the instructional signs. The only feedback you have is A set of large blowdryers above the exit and a countdown timer for how much time is remaining on the dryer. It isn't clear if you were supposed to pull forward and because it's so bright out and the countdown timer is in direct sunlight, you can't tell how much time is left. I ended up with a half dried vehicle. It's the land of the midnight sun, yo! Put a shade on that sucker! read more

My results have been all over the map with, Alaska Laser Wash. Best results are when I pre-scrub my car. I guess today I decided to live dangerously and run through without scrubbing or picking ice. By the end of car wash most ice and snow was gone except a huge conglomeration behind my left tire, causing it to rub badly. Asked if I could go through again- the guy had a terrible attitude walked off emphasizing it's a 'car WASH.' Fair enough. Here's a generous two star REVIEW and, I won't be BACK to spend MONEY! I've seen him boss his employees around and that alone should have kept me away. read more

The last bay the outside door was broken and it should have been closed,I did not notice until it was finished and I felt trapped exit door was buckled. I had to push the emergency door in the front and backed out carefully. read more

You get what you pay for with the wash itself (options $10, $15, $18). It's quick and seems thorough but the dryers are a little weak. Make sure to bring a towel to get all those little spots if you're anal like me. Also, I learned my lesson and now know to wipe down my car with one of those bristly brushes before I go in. The wash apparently did not take off stuck grime and the guy had to send me back through because it didn't look good (but free of charge!) I also love the free vacuums. Not exactly the ideal wash when the whole center of your car has soap that didn't get rinsed off. Not very happy that there is now dry soap on my "washed" car. ***update*** we went back and told the man what happened . He did not give us a hard time. 100% made it up had awesome customer service and thanked us for being honest. I def will be going back! read more

Bought the "Premium" $18 wash and my car is still super dirty, all it did was essentially throw soap on it and rinse it off. My husband had to wipe down my rear/front windshields with paper towels because it was still so dirty. 10/10 wound NOT recommend. read more

I don't honestly know why I keep coming back here when there are better options around town. The most expensive wash ($16) is really the only choice worth bothering with. I wouldn't say it does a perfect job but it gets the majority of break-up season gunk off my car. It's relatively close to downtown so it is fairly convenient for me to stop by on my way home. The payment machines look like they've seen better days and in the winter, there's an uncomfortably high lip (if you have a small car anyway...) of ice to get over when driving into the wash bay. Summertime usually showcases some potholes to avoid out front. None of these issues are deal breakers for me but I can't help but feel they've received too much of my money over the years for the mediocre-to-decent job they do. It's time to look elsewhere. read more

I gave this place 3 tries, unless your car just has some top dust, don't bother. I even called, when someone actually finally answered the phone, they told me to come back in. I am very impressed with how the laser wash works. I have a new Honda CRV, and it is important to me to keep my car clean. I believe, however, that if your car hasn't been maintained, washed and waxed frequently, and have many weeks of dirt on it...I am not sure your car will come out clean. This place is great for weekly maintenance in the dead of winter when you really don't want to get out in the cold and wash your car yourself. Recently I had to leave my car at the airport for a few days. When I got back it looked like a glazed donut, as we had freezing rain while I was away. The next day I took my frozen vehicle to Laser Wash, and the ice melted off, and my car was exceptionally clean. I really didn't believe I was going to drive out with a clean car - it exceeded my expectations. I would reccomend the 5th Avenue location as the facility is newer. I had problems at the Spenard location (no working vacuums). Tip of the day: Get 7 1$13.00 washes for $49.00 at Costco! read more

Trying to find the good in this place. Yeah it's a self serve car wash. But $10 I would hope would clean my car and let me use a vacuum. Well the lights on the inside of my car wash station were broken lol so I didn't know when to stop so I just guessed. Then I pulled up to the vacuum cleaner area and the one I got to didn't have a hose. So I went to another and the trash was overflowing. So I moved to the third one. I started vacuuming and the house came off...I waited for like 3 minutes for someone to come out. The bright part of all this was that the attendant was so nice and helpful. He fixed the hose and asked everyone if they were ok. read more

It has been hard to find a good car wash that gets the Alaska grime off you vehicle. I noticed as I was in line at Wendy's that they supplied buckets and brushes so you can do a pre-scrub before driving into the auto wash. How clever! Well when I went back after work the brushes & buckets were gone. (They get put away after 8pm.) The workers there were very friendly especially when they saw my grime-caked coated "black" truck. They sprayed my truck down (including the wheels & tires) with some magic spray. So much better than a brush! No extra charge "[they] like to take good care of their customers." Sure enough I ran it through the automated wash (the ultimate) and my truck came out sparkling! Even the wheels! No grime residue left over. I couldn't believe it. Amazing. They have my business anytime. Cost $13. ($14 really...put a dollar in to get towels to dry and nothing came out...oh well. Workers are really rude. I had soap still on my car and the air dryers were not working. Most of the lanes weren't working. I went to vacuum my car out after washing it and the worker was yelling at everyone saying we should know the time they go away. I was charged twice for a car wash at the Muldoon location. I called the office and got a return voicemail that I could come by the 5th Ave location that night for a refund. I was unable to make it that night and unable to get a return phone call after this to arrange another date/time. HOWEVER, when I showed up unexpectedly, the attendant helping me was very professional and helpful. Not once did he make excuses and offered nothing but apologies and help. When I went in I could see he was the only person working and very busy which may explain the inability for someone to return my call, if they were as busy as he. Good job to him! read more

I did the cheapest, $10 wash and it didn't remove some of the mold on the body of the car; while still at the carwash I tried scrubbing the mold off with the provided brushes, and the attendant came out and sprayed a more powerful cleaner on my car, then helped me scrub and sent me through the carwash again for free; now my car is probably cleaner than it's ever been. Plus they have free vacuums. This is great! read more
